When you've got the beauty, brains and emotional intelligence, you can really go places. Far and wide the best housewife to ever appear on any of the franchises.
This is totally false! Kenya Moore is a failure compared to others who were given the oppotunities she was given. (i.e. Vanessa Willliams) Kenya joined the housewife franchise as a last resort.

you can tell kenya is very kind and more human than most of the housewives. she just plays her part on reality tv to make a good show and people forget that.
She plays it a little too hard sometimes. Her antics in season 5 were very obnoxious, flirting with Phaedra’s husband, picking fights and mocking Porsha and Cynthia before they even knew who she was. Putting her butt up against Peter. Arrogance in only season one while begging after any man that had a pulse, like Walter. Ugh! I paused this interview to switch over to watch the night that Kenya won Miss USA. All these decades later, and she is just as beautiful, graceful, gracious, grateful, intelligent and articulate. However, today she has graduated from a Queen to an Empress. Love, love, love this interview.
Everyone in the United States of America have to admit Kenya Moore made history when she showed-up and showed-out winning Miss USA 👑 She is literally a part of civil rights history.
Absolutely. Even as an “adult” when she went to visit her mother, that was a child wanting her mother. So even then, she should’ve been protected and stood up for.
What impressed me the most was, the fact that Kenya and Nene don't care for each other most days, neither one of them hated on or demeaned the other one's impact on RHOA. They gave each other props. I loved it!❤❤❤

I've been a member of Team Twirl from day one. Beyond Kenya's protective barrier, she is a compassionate and soft woman. When she said, "Nobody fought for me," my eyes flooded with tears. It's only by the grace of the Lord God that she was able to turn her pain into resilience. 💜💜💜
Every story has 3 sides: Kenya's, the mother, what really happened. I was in kenya's boat, and felt same way. But 30 years past and I finally learned the truth. It hurt worse than the lie. I wish today I would have left sleeping dogs lie. Pain is so great.
I will always say, Kenya is one of the prettiest housewives in the franchise. She is so smart and classy even though they tried to turn us against Kenya. She is my fav on the show.
When Kenya still refers to her birth mom as mother and refers to herself as a child, even when she went to her house on the show, it just breaks my heart. A part of her can never heal because of the damage her mom caused 😢
The bond between a mother and a child is unbreakable so in those rare instances when it’s irretrievably broken, it’s a shock to the (child) system because it’s like their safe space has been taken from them. Very unfortunate.
I wouldn't say get over cause you'll never going to over momma but I think just my opinion only I think she's perfect as a momma I mean not having an example she lights. Up when she's around Brooklyn I live when I. get a chance to see it it makes me feel like Christmas cause I. Can just feel the love she gets from her little one god bless them both of them
This. You caught it too . Typically people are stuck at the age of their trauma, so Kenya is sadly a child still and will call herself one in reference to her mom whereas people who haven’t experienced childhood trauma even though they are a child in the mommy child relationship, both parties are aware the child is now an adult
It broke my heart as well😪 But the fact that she was able to push forward & accomplish so much speaks volumes to her true character. Love her for that😍 #TeamTwirl I have a 1st cousin who spent his whole life thinking he was my uncle, & so did the entire family. My grandmother raised him as her own son, bc his bio mom (my Gram's daughter) was a řäpə victim & only 12 when she had him. So it was a huge secret. FOR DECADES! Now I'm in my 30s & he's 53, & we JUST found this out LAST YEAR, in April of 2022, at his mom's (my aunt) funeral. & to make matters worse, his father was an older family memeber too. This has Rocked our whole family's world!!! After the funeral he took his wife, kids, & business & moved 5 states away from us & has never looked back or contacted anyone. I miss them terribly, he was my favorite "uncle," but I don't blame him 1 bit for dipping out. Imagine spending 52 years thinking ur mom was ur big sister, only to accidentally find out the truth, in front of everyone, AFTER she passed?!?! Sorry for the novel. This space felt safe to share. This interview was everything. Kenya understands the assignment always and gave what needs to be given. I’ve liked her more and more since she’s been on Speak On It.
Hearing what Kenya’s mom said to her as a child, reminded me of what my mom said to me……which was….”You ruined my life. I had so many dreams and YOU took it away from me.” It does stay with you and makes you resilient. Props to Kenya! The best revenge is to live your best damn life!
Let that go and let God🙏🏾, seriously if your mom is alive and years have passed, tell her how her words hurt you🤗. Please trust that your life is just as valuable as your mother 💞
I absolutely needed to see this. This interview just made me feel even more secure with my feelings that i hate when people say “oh god here goes kenya bout her mama” “get tf over it your 40 something” ect. When youre a woman who grew up with this kind of dynamic with your mother it literally defines such a big part of you. Your core values & life lessons that build you into the woman you’ll be are sculpted forever by this. & when ever i bring up my experience w my mother that was like this its not to “gain sympathy” or “make excuses for my actions” i feel that im explaining this so that you can better understand me which helps the other person understand why i am the way i am. & that’s exactly how i feel about kenya and why i go so hard for her. She is HER 👑
Sending you lots of love and compassion and I hope you know that you are worthy of love, support, warmth, affection and compassion. I’m glad Kenya was able to excel the way she has despite all she’s been through, and that she has the courage to share her story. Kenya is such a beautiful soul. ❤
I think it’s somewhat of a cop out, we place the blame on her mom but it’s the entire family that enabled the behavior. The grandma took up for Kenya for the first tine at age 11-12?! That’s insane
Her mother never had another child. And it's said until this day she rarely leaves the house. Something definitely off with her. But at 70 years old she's not about to seek help. At least her father apologized and tried to do better when Kenya reache out to him as an adult. He went on to have 2 more kids. He went on to have an actual life.
I needed to watch this interview. It really gave me another perspective of who Kenya is. I'm definitely giving her grace because she deserves it. So intelligent and beautiful!
Kenya is so physically beautiful and her ability to express what she’s feeling is definitely not common among reality tv girlies. I never liked her on RHOA, but when she showed her going to her mothers house- that literally broke me apart

When you've got the beauty, brains and emotional intelligence, you can really go places. Far and wide the best housewife to ever appear on any of the franchises.
Exactly! I discerned she was helping the show, and it wasn't who she was really.
Same, I love me some Kenya 😂
When she went to Cynthia’s model audition as a judge and tried to get her security guard to kick out Cynthia’s colleague I fell in love 😂😂
This is totally false! Kenya Moore is a failure compared to others who were given the oppotunities she was given. (i.e. Vanessa Willliams) Kenya joined the housewife franchise as a last resort.
Well said, I feel the same way about Kenya also.
No one can convince me to dislike this woman. I love her shade and her energy. I want to see more of her life in RHOA.

you can tell kenya is very kind and more human than most of the housewives. she just plays her part on reality tv to make a good show and people forget that.
Ugh! Then she wonders why everyone was against her at the season 5 reunion and thinks of her as a villain.

This hurt, especially because I was an adopted child and NO ONE ever fought for me either.

I disagree. Cynthia protected Kenya too. The real question is who did she need protection from? I think Kenya needs protection from her goofy thoughts. I think she’s the prettiest across Bravo.
This. You caught it too . I have a 1st cousin who spent his whole life thinking he was my uncle, & so did the entire family.
People always speak about "different light" from her interviews, but she showed this side ON THE SHOW, it's just people chose what they wanted to see her as.
@@fatwp6345 key phrase is “on the show”. The show is not a reflection of real life - starting with the fact that most of them aren’t even real friends. The show exists to entertain us and that’s all I take it as.
@@itsmecandice7555 sure, but whether it's there to entertain or not, the point is she still showed this side on the show.
This is a GREAT interview! There’s realness. There’s bonding. There’s something so genuine about these two together! It’s magic!
Hearing Kenya talk about her mother and break down like broke my heart. I love my Kenya Summer Moore. Always have since the day she first graced our TV screens.
I haven't finished the interview but I just want to commend Kenya for being such an amazing mother despite it all. You are undoing generational trauma everyday, queen! God bless you!
Somethings you just don’t heal from. You carry the load differently and with some grace but when reminded, you remember.
I just love me some Kenya Moore! Articulate, beautiful, and her laugh is so contagious! I pray God blesses her with another child or two because her and Brooklyn deserves it. Love and light to you Kenya.
"She built the house but it got foreclosed on." This is why I love Kenya so much. Her reads are always on point! 🤣😅
The show needs her every season.
"who you now, oprah?" LMAOOOOO kenya is hilarious even in her most vulnerable moments, i adore her
Honestly people with pure hearts can see thru the optics and we see Kenya is a gentle loving spirit. Kenya is an American ICON. #TEAMKENYA#TEAMSMARTPRETTYGIRLS
I’ve always had an understanding and connection to Kenya. My mother was never in my life and passed away when I was 15. Navigating your informative years without the most integral person in a young child’s life is unexplainable. Even now at 28 I cannot understand it or even understand certain parts of myself without my mom. Watching the housewives as a teenager let me know there was another person out there who felt just like me
❤❤❤❤same
I grew up without a mom also! I can relate. ❤
🙏🏾❤️💪🏽
As someone who grew up without parents I agree
Same, I've always felt a connection to kenya. Me and my mother also have a very strained and non existent relationship. ❤
My most favourite housewife on the whole franchise and all editions. She’s gorgeous, full of smart reads and silly❤
Edit: lol the end😂The whole interview was so good& entertaining, can’t wait for part 2. I love Kenya even more now
i'm so moved by her story and energized by that sass -- "audition?! i don't audition honey, it's offer only! i was so offended." she is everything. 🤣😂❤
After everything she endured with her own mother, I’m so happy she has Brooklyn! I love seeing how she loves on Brooklyn and cherish every moment and the way Brooklyn loves her is amazing! I’m always Team Kenya
I love seeing this side of Kenya. Vulnerable and down to earth and so open. I wish the show gave more opportunities for the women to show substance like this 💖
I have knew there is something special about this iconic legend from day one I saw her on RHOA even when everyone was against her. I have always being her number one fan and supporter. God bless her and her lovely daughter.
I’m 18 mins in and this has been super insightful and I have a new found respect for Kenya. True definition of a warrior
You can still see the hurt on Kenya’s face when she talks about her mom. My heart goes out for her, she needs healing.
I think her healing will come through her being a mom to Brooklyn. She’s very strong and my heart goes out to her.
I think she’s already healed but it’s obviously still hurtful to talk about it/remember it so the hurt and tears are so understandable but I’m pretty sure kenya is healed and she can say she’s living a good life
Kenya is SOOO GORGEOUS! She is the prettiest housewife of all time. She is funny, beautiful, well spoken, has a GREAT soul, she gives everyone a fair shot, my husband loves her he thinks she is so funny.
We Love You Kenya 😢 You are a STRONG BLACK WOMAN..YOU DESERVE TO BE HAPPY
Say what you want about Ms. Moore, but she always gives a good interview. You can tell that this is just 2 good friends talking. Very enjoyable.
I have so much respect for Kenya! Hearing her story even more makes EVERYTHING about her make sense.
Kenya Moore is the reason I start watching Real Housewives. The first time I see her reading the girls I knew she was that girl, the most intelligent outspoken woman I ever saw on tv.
This was a VERY good interview! I love the connection they have and I KNEW it would be a blast watching Kenya imitate Carlos. Lol.
Kenya is incredibly well-spoken and intelligent and I love watching her show her natural image versus the villainy that can be portrayed.
