I really would have loved if the game gave a final pan over shot of the park at the end when you hit 5-stars, and some statistics thrown up on the screen, maybe some final dialogue or an ending cutscene, the "MISSION COMPLETE" /quit to menu, is so anticlimactic when I was playing
I've found a lot of missteps with the game. Needed another 6 months or year in the oven, going over game design, bugs, UI, etc. I skipped 1 because the dinosaurs seemed too animatronic, behavior seemed really fake imo at the time when I was watching reviews for JWE1 but they feel really nice this time around, and I'm happy with that despite a few odd behaviors.

42:40 You finished the track but didn’t adjust how many vehicles go on the track. If you go 2 tabs in, you can adjust how many vehicles are on the ride. Have too many vehicles on the ride and dinosaurs will get annoyed and attack vehicles which can cause blockages or shutdowns of your ride. But have too few vehicles and dinosaur visibility can go down. It’s a balancing act that isn’t explained by the game. Tip 2: cosmetics of the inside of your shops can be changed, they aren’t affected when you configure them but the insides of the shops are affected when you change the sign of your shop. Tip 3: In the last game when you placed an amenity right next to a path, to upgrade the path you had to delete your amenity, replace the path and then put the amenity back. In this game you can replace the paths without having to move the amenity, even if it’s snapped right to the path!
It's really a shame that there isn't a Dennis Nedry in the scientists to hire. I think it would be a great little Easter egg that was a huge miss on Frontier's part lol
I really underestimated how important photographing is in this game, it's an insane boost to your finances, almost a mandatory part of the gameplay loop.
the thing that killed me in jurasic park chaos theory was over extending. I ended up picking up all these researchs, building and other things building up my park before it could even open and by time it did i was bankrupt and hemorrhaging money.
I did the same. The key is to get the park open with the starting budget before building infrastructure. PLAN out your infrastructure but don't build it till you have income.

I've done this mode 3 times now and have bankrupted myself twice, so I really appreciate the guide. I was completely ignoring alot of the research and was confused with the new amenity system. First time I tried to make it a 1:1 with the Jurassic Park movie layout and had the Trikes all the way on the opposite end so the Med Trucks took forever to get to them, also doesn't help that Trikes like to give each other concussions constantly. My current attempt I got up to the Rex part and the cost of getting that done alone and what follows destroyed my finances. I managed to bring it back by firing all but one scientist and selling my Pachyrhinos, but after watching this I'm just gonna restart and use your tips because I've been stuck on 3.8 stars for hours and it's annoying me lol
Man I can't tell you the cuss words I've said trying to beat this level for 3 days straight and go bankrupt once I get to the very end and have to get 3 stars. I think the amenity part was confusing me and having everything close to the generators until you can get a apower station helps alot. This generators eat up some cash!
Amazing how so many dinosaur escapes could be prevented if you were able to build trenches between the exhibits and the fences like they do in zoos lol
@@StarlightGippy that part of the movie always drives me crazy because they make such a show of the goat being right next to the cars and then the rex walking out all dramatic..... Then suddenly in the exact same place there is a giant cliff where the goat used to be... And how crap would that be for real? You would never see the rex because the Cliff is so high you'd be looking at some moving trees and that's if you looked down... From the cars you'd see nothing but a fence and the sky
On the power for the bunkers, I imagine they would have their own self contained power systems so there doesn’t need to be an Ellie and Muldoon run to the backup generators.
I just love the territory system so much better than the past when one teeny tiny thing off and your Dino goes nuts… Especially the large Sauropods and their forest 😂
Finally finished 5 starring the park last night! I used your tip on splitting up the enclosure right at the beginning which helped alot! Please keep giving tips and tricks!

I found it fun and not that hard on my first play through but I got incredibly unlucky and a storm came as I spent the last of my money on t-Rex expedition and went immediately bankrupt and could not recover and I’m almost certain that was the last or one of the last tasks for the mission
@@jvtravels4264 Luck has nothing to do with it. I spent all but about 10k on a pair of Megalosaurs, and as soon as I exited the hatchery screen, the storm struck, along with a plague of injuries and common colds. I don't think it's coincidence this exact thing happened to three people randomly.
That awkward moment when you panic at a gate being open between the habitats, but leave the hatchery gate to the raptor paddock open while you release your herbivores and don't notice the raptor following them into their half. lol
Yeeah, my raptors caught the common cold during the sick Trike mission and refused to recover. Was arguably playing a little loose with my money but still, common cold can be rough.
Christ this one was such a pain in the ass It takes so long to complete, it’s a complete grind fest. The key is to not play on fast forward the entire time because you WILL run out of money before you even open the park. You’re also kind of discouraged from recreating the tour as it was in the film; a safari ride with carnivores behind fencing. I just beat it by having one big enclosure for the Trike, Archaeo, Dryosaurus, Paras and Apatosaurs, and then having the carnivores be on their own connected paddocks nearby. Then you just have to stuff the living crap out of the park with amenities and boom
You are so right, this is by far my least favourite chaos theory. Just inconvenience after inconvenience. Took me an entire day to complete, only finished because I moved my rex and 5 megalosaurs into enclosures with viewing galleries, the park tour like you said is an awful idea in this mode.
This is the most helpful video I've found. Struggling like crazy with 4 storms, when you low on cash, John will provide more but man, this was super helpful, specially the park tour where I tried to make it surrounding the paddocks and didn't know I can go inside of them.

From my understanding, it is possible to route power so you can have a backup generator in place so when the power lines get knocked out the generator turns on.

Your OCD with path/straight line symmetry is hilarious. Love it! Also I noticed during the campaign play through, ,it was much cheaper to buy a new generator than fill up the new one. Still way expensive though.
@@NINETYFIVE_TC for the tour just make sure the path crosses areas where dinosaurs are herding, if you're still struggling click on the tour itself and increase the number of cars that are going out but be weary too many will stress dinosaurs out.

Yeah challenge mode is a, well, challenge to me too, i really want all the skins but I barely managed to pass easy mode, i tried hard mode and never managed to make a profit and went bankrupt within 20 minutes, i need a little helpies..
I can’t use the rex or megalosaurus dig sites because there are restrictions: the restrictions for the megalosaurus are 4:12 with a clock symbol and the restrictions for the rex are 5:06 with a clock symbol Help I can’t do the mission or complete Jp chaos theory
Man you got so lucky with that successful raptor batch. I 5 starred this scenario in about 5 hours, and most of that extra time was honestly bc the alpha in my batch of successful raptors was aggressive. I spent so much time and money moving raptors back and forth from the medical facility, and every time I put them back in they fought again. And I couldn't sell any of them, had to wait til they died either fighting or of old age in order to get raptors without that aggression. Anyway major kudos to your luck fairy, lol. I wound up with apatosaurus, parasaurs, and dryosaurus in one paddock, euoplocephalus and gallis in another, and trikes and compys together, with my rex and suchomimus hiding further away. My biggest recommendation to people is to not be shy about multiple response buildings and medical facilities, they make your life easier, keep your dinos better maintained, and when storms come, having 6 ranger vehicles to do repairs and 3 helicopters to tranq runaway raptors is way easier than only 2 and 1.

I used your guides for a lot of my island in Jurassic park evolution and I’ve gone bankrupt 5 times in this chaos theory bcuz of the stupid storm that comes when you do get to the trex part of the theory, your other guides were helpful so no doubt this one’s going to be as well ❤️
Wanted to say that this series single-handedly got me through the first three chaos theory maps, so a huge thank you for that. A couple issues though with several things that I can’t seem to figure out. For one, sometimes even if there’s a lot of guests in the area and the configuration models are fine, my amenity will lose money. Idk how to stop that or what’s even causing it. Another thing is even when I have a very clear alpha (higher dominance and attack stats), they’ll still constantly fight. I know it’s not a perfect system, but it’d be nice if my Stegos or Anklys could stop fighting for three seconds. And finally, I know there was an exploit in the first game to stop storms from spawning, is there anything similar in this one? Because the Jurassic World chaos theory is absolutely kicking me in the butt lol. Thanks again for all the tips!
This helped for sure. I was definitely hemorrhaging with the backup generators and running out of money before I could even open the park. Also didn't realize I'd get guests after it was opened, thought I was missing something and just didn't have guests 😆
Not getting the game until Christmas so these videos are helpful to me. Head canon is BIS is the trainer on the park management course I attend in order to get the job.
I will admit I’m struggling with Chaos Theory Jurassic Park. I’ve been forced to restart three times already. I keep encountering the same issue where at some random point a storm comes that destroys nearly all my buildings, meanwhile I go millions into the Red in seconds because all my guests are safely sitting in shelters waiting out the storm. I then can’t repair any of the storm damaged buildings because I have no cash, so my guest count and rating just plummets after the storm is over and never recovers.
I had to restart 2 times. The last one was the worst i just incubated and released the Trex and right after a storm hit and I opened all my shelters. After the storm passed, i opened the shelters and all my millions went into red. There was nothing I could do to save it. No animals escaped and no buildings were damaged. Never understood why it happened. The most important tips i got from bestinslot were getting wide guest paths and researching power options(power stations) because those backup generators are a nightmare . The only other thing i could say is if you use the park tour as your main attraction and not viewing galleries make your enclosures thinner but long that way dinosaur visibility will be good(this part killed me until I figured it out). Literally just released the T-Rex and then a storm came which knocked out loads of my pylons and substations cutting power off to my Guest Attractions, Tours and Shops. Because I was millions in Red I could not repair them and could therefore not get the power back on. I wonder if the game has a bug as don’t understand why you’d suddenly go two million into the Red because you had a storm.
@@Cwattyeso honestly i wouldnt be surprised because a day one patch came out and the next day i played again. I ended up completing all the way. I remember they sabotage your gates so i just demolished all of mine 😂😂

...you do know rhinos are essentially blind, right? that's where the inspiration for triceratops blindness would have been theorized.

@@TaxemicFanatic btw i'm still confuse on increasing dinosaur visibility for my tour ride. Any ideas on how to increase visibility?
@@NINETYFIVE_TC for the tour just make sure the path crosses areas where dinosaurs are herding, if you're still struggling click on the tour itself and increase the number of cars that are going out but be weary too many will stress dinosaurs out.

Has definitely given me some pointers - I was making my enclosures way too big, which made my tour too big; all downhill from there.

20:23 I know it's been a little bit, and you've probably figured this out by now, but you can actually go in and tweak the draw distance in Options at the Main Menu if you need to.

Yeah challenge mode is a, well, challenge to me too, i really want all the skins but I barely managed to pass easy mode, i tried hard mode and never managed to make a profit and went bankrupt within 20 minutes, i need a little helpies..

I can’t use the rex or megalosaurus dig sites because there are restrictions: the restrictions for the megalosaurus are 4:12 with a clock symbol and the restrictions for the rex are 5:06 with a clock symbol

Man you got so lucky with that successful raptor batch. I 5 starred this scenario in about 5 hours, and most of that extra time was honestly bc the alpha in my batch of successful raptors was aggressive. I spent so much time and money moving raptors back and forth from the medical facility, and every time I put them back in they fought again. And I couldn't sell any of them, had to wait til they died either fighting or of old age in order to get raptors without that aggression.
Anyway major kudos to your luck fairy, lol. I wound up with apatosaurus, parasaurs, and dryosaurus in one paddock, euoplocephalus and gallis in another, and trikes and compys together, with my rex and suchomimus hiding further away. My biggest recommendation to people is to not be shy about multiple response buildings and medical facilities, they make your life easier, keep your dinos better maintained, and when storms come, having 6 ranger vehicles to do repairs and 3 helicopters to tranq runaway raptors is way easier than only 2 and 1.

I’m my chaos theory, I got no velociraptor with bad traits!!! That was very lucky, actually there was one with a trait that make him eat more, but that’s not too bad.

I used your guides for a lot of my island in Jurassic park evolution and I’ve gone bankrupt 5 times in this chaos theory bcuz of the stupid storm that comes when you do get to the trex part of the theory, your other guides were helpful so no doubt this one’s going to be as well ❤️
Wanted to say that this series single-handedly got me through the first three chaos theory maps, so a huge thank you for that. A couple issues though with several things that I can’t seem to figure out. For one, sometimes even if there’s a lot of guests in the area and the configuration models are fine, my amenity will lose money. Idk how to stop that or what’s even causing it. Another thing is even when I have a very clear alpha (higher dominance and attack stats), they’ll still constantly fight. I know it’s not a perfect system, but it’d be nice if my Stegos or Anklys could stop fighting for three seconds. And finally, I know there was an exploit in the first game to stop storms from spawning, is there anything similar in this one? Because the Jurassic World chaos theory is absolutely kicking me in the butt lol. Thanks again for all the tips!

This helped for sure. I was definitely hemorrhaging with the backup generators and running out of money before I could even open the park. Also didn't realize I'd get guests after it was opened, thought I was missing something and just didn't have guests 😆

I will admit I’m struggling with Chaos Theory Jurassic Park. I’ve been forced to restart three times already. I keep encountering the same issue where at some random point a storm comes that destroys nearly all my buildings, meanwhile I go millions into the Red in seconds because all my guests are safely sitting in shelters waiting out the storm. I then can’t repair any of the storm damaged buildings because I have no cash, so my guest count and rating just plummets after the storm is over and never recovers.
I had to restart 2 times. The last one was the worst i just incubated and released the Trex and right after a storm hit and I opened all my shelters. After the storm passed, i opened the shelters and all my millions went into red. There was nothing I could do to save it. No animals escaped and no buildings were damaged. Never understood why it happened. The most important tips i got from bestinslot were getting wide guest paths and researching power options(power stations) because those backup generators are a nightmare . The only other thing i could say is if you use the park tour as your main attraction and not viewing galleries make your enclosures thinner but long that way dinosaur visibility will be good(this part killed me until I figured it out). @@jvtravels4264 yeah exactly sounds like what happened to me last night. Literally just released the T-Rex and then a storm came which knocked out loads of my pylons and substations cutting power off to my Guest Attractions, Tours and Shops. Because I was millions in Red I could not repair them and could therefore not get the power back on. I wonder if the game has a bug as don’t understand why you’d suddenly go two million into the Red because you had a storm.
@@Cwattyeso honestly i wouldnt be surprised because a day one patch came out and the next day i played again. I ended up completing all the way. I remember they sabotage your gates so i just demolished all of mine 😂😂
