Hi Julie. I’ve been watching you from the beginning, and I’ve never commented. I will now. Whenever I’m feeling down, I go straight to you. Your cheer is absolutely contagious and perks me up immensely. I’m watching you make gems right now and you’re having difficulty with the plastic overlay. I would have had the same problem, I guarantee it! But you included the problem in your video. Thank you. I feel bad when you apologize to us when something goes unexpectedly. We need to see that! When people (if you can call them people) negatively comment about something that you’ve already said Isn’t going as expected, it breaks my heart. Keep on scrolling is what I say. I always look forward to seeing you. Please keep them coming!

If you carefully pop them onto jewellery wire you can hang them in the window or on your porch as a sun catcher. They are really pretty and you would hardly see the jewellery wire and it’s stronger than cotton..or put them in a small glass dish or trinket box.I love these 🥰

every kind of coating will destroy the holographic effect. doesn't matter the color or if it's paint or resin. the effect is applied from the foil to the surface of the resin. coating will fill up the super fine 'lines' and creates a new surface.

Using wooden stir sticks, or any porous material, will cause the micro bubbles. Using silicone or plastic to stir should result in fewer bubbles.

Maybe a thin coat of clear before you do black?
Also, have you experimented with magnets? I think those chameleon powders have metal in them that align to magnets. I've seen those kits that use different patterns and shapes with the chameleon nail polish. Though I think you'd have to do UV resin possibly, just so you can quick dry the resin. Might be worth experimenting with.

These worked out well. Even the black one shows that if you want faceted jewels, then use an opaque colour in these molds. I wonder what it would look like with alfoil on the back, either flat or crumpled and then reflattened ? Because of the facets I would think just flat would work, both with and without the holographic foil.
