The dad’s reaction to his daughter calling to say “I love you” and her not expecting him to be emotional shows how much our men are hiding their emotions of things they are affected by. So sad :/ And how the dad couldn’t say “I love you” back to his son? Sucks
@@いぶき-s9m I dont know if what you say is true and i dont really care either, but boys are definitely taught not to cry. tell people that you love them. tell people that you love them as often as you can. call them or text them or comment it on their instagram posts. don’t let the fear of rejection or being ignored stop you from sharing all of the love you have to give. tell people you love them, and i promise that some of them will listen, and some will say it back. not everyone, but the people that matter.
why dont a lot of dads say i love you back to their children when they're told "i love you"? i said it to my dad for the first time in a long time three years ago and all he said was "yup" and walked away. i was like "welp not doing that again"
I think it's often because they feel they are not allowed to be emotional and vulnerable? They are probably just uncomfortable with the situation and don't know how to handle it without seeming weak
@@nootnoot8434 yeah, i kinda figured. it's so stupid that society has pushed this standard onto men for so long considering that being afraid to show emotion comes off weaker than if they weren't afraid to show emotion. it's a redundant "rule" and it benefits no one in the end.
@@yeah3442 i absolutely agree! I'm very happy that nowadays it's becoming more and more accepted and encouraged for men to be emotional! It's awful how they are treated :)
Often times, especially immigrant or generally old school parents, had their displays or communications of affection rejected by their close ones or care givers, so its easier for them to play it cool and act like it doesnt stir them up a bunch. My dads like that, but i know how much it means to them, and underneath it fills their broken heart to the brim.
Gosh, it's so weird how three little words can make such difference in someone's life. I've been crying for the past 10 minutes just watching people tell other people that they love them and thinking about my personal life and how hard of a time I have saying that to anyone. I relate a lot to that girl at 3:04 and her relationship with her father. I don't even remember when was the last time I told him that I love him and that makes me feel sad because I do love him, even with all his flaws and I feel like he doesn't feel that I do.
this is very touching now do one where 100 people call to say "im sorry" perhaps even more challenging, more emotional, but just as necessary (this isnt my idea pls share it) :)
A gay mother is different than someone's biological mom. A gay mother is usually an individual who "adopts" other LGBT children who were often kicked out by their birth parents. These mother figures support gay youth just as any mother should. The guy in the clip was likely referring to this type of person. He likely doesn't mean that he's going to call his birth mom who is a lesbian.
I'm not gonna cover up and say that it is ok to not say I love youback he should have said that his son waited for a good time so that he can respond but he didn't.
it’s beautiful to see people saying ‘i love you’ in their native languages. also, the ones who typically don’t say it to certain people. i love these kinds of videos
😆 oh boy one of my friends told me they love me once but while they were crying and I was confused if they were being held at gun point or something I guess it was actually the story I told them made them emotional I love them though 😊
this was really fucking heartbreaking.. i wanna give every single person a hug & tell them i love them even though it’s one of the hardest things for me to say sincerely..
Calling his dad a goofball broke my heart. That was the saddest one because hes trying to hide his inner pain, but you see it in his eyes, he wanted to hear his dad tell him he loves him. Not everyone is good with emotions.

My romantic ass is kinda disappointed that nobody called the person that they're in love with, like a significant other... I was prepared for a nice cheesy moment :(

@@lycusevergreen2999 plus romantic love is very common too the point I think a lot of people forget it’s not the only form of love, paternal love, love for a friend, love for family members are just as important and just as strong

When I was in Cardiff university my girlfriend broke up with me and I was a heartbroken guy. I had one friend named Helen Williams, we were very close although she is 100% gay. On valentines day she called me and said I'm just calling to tell you I love you. Then she took me out for the evening and danced with me. I knew that she just did this not because she fancied me but because of pure love and she did not want to see me feeling lonely and hurt. It helped a lot and I never forgot that kindness. Years later we lost touch but she was a friend I'll never forget - and I would have married her if she had been that way inclined!
I am a 25 years old Indian doctor. I have to drive 15 kms everyday to reach the hospital. And everyday, I have to call my mom to tell her that I've reached safely. I always end the conversation with I love you mom. My friends find it funny but I still do it coz I just love her so so much. P. S. I still live with my parents so she sees me everyday before leaving for hospital.
Yes, I do this with every single one of my family member. I always always end the phone conversation with “I love you”. When my friends or coworkers find that odd or funny, I genuinely feel sorry for them that this so confusing to them. I hope to raise my future kids to never go a day without saying they love someone. Life is too short.
a lot of these were really heartwarming and a lot of others were heartbreaking. it just goes to show how everyone has different relationships and hardships with the people around them.
I feel bad for Evan calling his dad and all his dad really said was he’s a goofball... It’s the same way w my family. I tell my mom I love her everyday but w my dad... I only text that to him once in a blue moon.
I'm that way. I'm not a goofball tho. I just can't say it. At least my sister knows me and when she tells me she loves me she understands that I do too when I react in my weird way. It makes me appreciate her even more. It's different with my mom. Emotions, talks, reactions are hard for me, so saying "I love you" is even harder. I'm sorry for you, that it's so hard with your dad. 🥺
@@Halvale If you do love someone, you should just say it back. It would mean so much to them. You should tell them in person
tell people that you love them. tell people that you love them as often as you can. call them or text them or comment it on their instagram posts. don’t let the fear of rejection or being ignored stop you from sharing all of the love you have to give. tell people you love them, and i promise that some of them will listen, and some will say it back. not everyone, but the people that matter.

honestly same. We just don't say it in our family... i don't know why
why dont a lot of dads say i love you back to their children when they're told "i love you"? i said it to my dad for the first time in a long time three years ago and all he said was "yup" and walked away.
i was like "welp not doing that again"
