Mate The first thing that you thought was a grinder (red) was a lister milk separator, the bowl was on the floor next to it I couldn't see the cups or the spouts but they were probably there somewhere, you wind it by hand while you run the fresh cows milk through it and you end up with cream and skim milk which you can feed to the pigs or whatever and sell the cream to the butter factory, the 3 point linkage implement was a super spreader or a fertilizer spreader as someone has already said and the machine after that was a small grain grinder for making up feed for pigs, or sheep or cattle, animals can digest all the nutrients in grain much easier when the grain has been crushed rather than whole!

It's just so sad that the whole family has passed away, & that this once beautiful farm & house is left to mother nature to do her worst. I bet it was in much better condition when the family was alive
Wow the birds did not like you guys being in the cupboard and kitchen😀they were really chirping.my son uses the clock with the little hammer that hits the two bells for alarm to get up for work.wonder why the top half of downstairs looks scorched?love you guys👍😍❤️🇺🇸
Since watching these videos, I've gone minimalist, chucked out everything I don't use and any clothes I don't wear also purchased a cross cut shredder, I can breath now.

A lot of that decay in the drier parts of the house are 50 + years aging no way that was done in 6 years ...some may have happened near the open doors and roof collapse.. you find old places like this dont up date as there elderly lived there so long and have so many possessions it would be very hard for a old person to decorate or even ask someone to do it cost a lot of money ..

Very sad. No central heating. Must have been very cold and damp. He clearly had health problems and was hoarding. Must have been very lonely.
Oh the "back brace" may be for farming he may put that on to help with birthing to help pull out the sheep or cow baby ...
All the black/brown stain marks are due to a combination of smoke from open fires, cooking and cigarettes being carried by heat from AGA and/or heaters along corridors and rooms. You can clearly see the yellow/brown cigarette tar (wrongly attributed to "nicotine") which had condensed on walls etc and run down the sides of objects like mirrors. It does at first look like there's been a fire until you see that no wood or furniture has been burnt.

NOTE: Honey remains good for hundreds of years. utensils & cupboards appear organized. Wonder if he was lonely or enjoyed the peace that comes from inner solitude that I think only a few people find. I hope he was one. If they weren’t religious I doubt they would have religious items in their homes. A very CLEAR indication that they LOVE the Lord. The magazines and newspapers were his companions…. He read…. Such as we do social media or reading on line that is why there is so much reading material…. His love…. A great explore honor their lives with respect…. Thanks

The shoe in the bathroom is a old soap or a puma stone i feel its soap as it had mold on it.

The implement on the left hand side inside the barn is a spreader.It is fitted to the back of a tractor, suspended from the three-point linkage and driven by the power take- off shaft connected from the tractor engine.It spreads chemical fertilizer in granular from via a spinning plate that the granules drop down on to.The rusty item standing on the right of it is, I believe, a root chopper.The wide wheel on the left is connected to a stationary engine,such as a tractor, via the wide drive belt.Root crops, carrots, seeds, turnips,etc. are fed into the top hopper and they come out chopped up ready to feed to cattle.Thanks for brilliant videos.

There’s obviously been a fire. Flames rise and spread across the ceiling hence little damage below. Think the rusted items probably due to water from fire services.

The spreader is for putting fertiliser on your fields and the "grinder" was for grinding corn (or barley etc.) for the animals. The grain would be stored upstairs in the loft , you'd tip it into the feed chute up there and it would fall down into the grinder below.
Older people tend to buy lots of tin food as this saves them going to the shops so often. They may not find it easy to get out and about as much as they use to. Braces not suspenders' lol

I'm so sad I missed your live, something came up. That poor house and contents are so decayed. The thing in the bathroom cabinet is an old fashioned shoe made out of soap. Avon did them, coz I have one somewhere from the 60s/70s.i wonder if he collected coupons with all those papers and magazines. Hope you're both well and hope Meg got through her hospital appt OK. All that discolouration up the walls and on the ceiling is smoke from years and years of smoking Cigarettes/tobacco. Where it is the darkest is above where they sat all the time. And where it looks like something leaked down the walls is from the condensation running down thru the smoke and leaving a trail...
I noticed a no smoking sticker on a fridge. There may have been wood fires/wood stoves at some stage.

Chris, on the mantle piece you showed a little ashtray in the shape of a Toilet with the inscription ‘ Rest your weary Ash ‘ - My Grandad owned three Pottery factories in Stoke on Trent and as a nine year old in the mid 1960’s myself and my brothers were allowed to go to the main Factory and pick some items out from the seconds and I was well chuffed when I found the toilet ashtray with its cheeky saying (he did bulk orders of this sort of holiday souvenirs stuff). I proudly took it to School to show my friends but ended up having it confiscated by a Teacher who said it was “inappropriate” and my Mum was too embarrassed to go ask for it back. So very nice to see it again! Thanks for enabling a much loved trip down memory lane. 💗🙏☮️🐨🇦🇺
I wonder if the discolored upper walls and ceilings are due to decades of pipe smoking indoors and/or burning peat, coal, or wood indoors for heat. Also religion was a big part of everyone's life until maybe the past 30-40yrs. It still is for some, but I think in past times up until the 1970's-80's, if you were not part of a church community you were not seen as a good person. It was seen as a necessary part of leading a good life.
The discolouration on the walls is from YEARS of smoking. Gran's house was the same when she passed - I know as I renovated and sold it. Such places should never be left to rot like that. For the right price i would buy that place as it is in a lovely area and would be great to retire in once modernised - most of the furniture can be restored too and put to use again.. Could even use the land to grow food. Such a shame there are not estate agents that specialise in selling such places on. The book at 27:42 is a Welsh hymnal.
Its seem when the mum dies first the dad and son carryon liveing but they loose heart with the home and everything falls into disrepair and they don't clean anything. The heart of the home was gone when the mum died 💔 sad but true and you find lots of farmers are single men because unless you are of farming stock you don't want to marry a farmer because its very hard work from first light until dark great video both.

Another top notch explore, seems like it has been in decline for decades even if someone was there as recent as 2016, the owner is possibly still in a care home somewhere..!!
The discoloured residue around high levels is possibly from cooking.
Must have taken Meg ages to check through those mags...😉
