As of now there is no promotional exam.
As per rule you are eligible for promotion after completion of probation period.
In Kolkata customs it Generally take 7-8 years for promotion (which is subject to change).

Sir.. ek doubt he night duty leke.. firstly 12 hours ka hota he kya duty.. if yes then timing kya rehta he?.. Secondly 48 hours ka chutti milta he ka matlab samajh nhi aya.. jaise ki aj agar duty karke ata hu 8 AM ko.. to next duty kab Jana rahega??. Kindly reply 😊
