Not mad at Capcom as a whole... but really not a fan of the team in charge of the first seasons of dlc characters in that game.
So he gets 2 brand-new normal throws, his Spiral DDT is gone and replaced with Head Crush, Sleeper Hold mash throw is gone, and Hyper Bomb is now an EX move. Pretty neat, thanks for taking the time to make the video.
Wow, I can definitely see why Alex's popularity has gone up even further. His moveset has improved a hell of a lot and that Sledge Hammer attack looks pretty versatile and handy during matches
+Peja21000 Um, after Sledge Hammer or H. Flash Chop? Too much text, on a back-turned opponent is a much better explanation. Besides, you can see what moves make the opponent face backwards by watching this video.
I think success with Alex will be very dependent on how you use his unsafe tools. Stomp, Head Crush, and elbow are all quite slow, but useful. If you focus on his pokes, I think you'll find more wins.
+Joseppe Candela His normal elbow is pretty safe when spaced right. Ex Elbow on the other hand is completely unsafe on block. It drives me nuts to see so many Alex players spam it. Only real reason to use Ex Elbow is to armor though shit.

Great, the boot is back as a crush counter, also the elbow for getting in. the chop has very good range and the v-trigger charging lariat looks good to get in too. Very similar to the Alex I remember. I was expecting the moves in general and the command grabs specifically to do more damage, but I suppose it's because I was expecting him to be more of a grappler

+DANTE FLORIAN Alex is supposed to be bulky. Even in 3rd Strike he was bulkier than everyone except Hugo. They beefed up everyone else's model in 5 (even Dhalsim!!!) so had to beef up Alex as well.
Not feeling Alex even slightly, all his animations feel off (his headbutt lacks any real feeling of impact), they replaced his wonderful, powerful looking bodyslam with a couple of god awful looking throws, and his whole appearance just looks mashed together, like some CAW from a wrestling game. Not being a whiney hater here, but he feels like an exceptionally poor update of his classic SF3 incarnation, and the less said about the music the better - SF3s music sounds horribly dated now, and somehow this remix is even WORSE :-(. Seriously Capcom, what happened?
The remix is awesome, It's similar to the Latin Jazz Mix from the first game. I like the look because is a younger Alex and the moveset is bad for the animations, but good for the new tools

You also need to specify exactly when you can perform a power drop.

I honestly thought that one of Alex's special moves would be removed, like the Air Stampede. He can perform the most EX special moves in the game!
The only thing he doesn't have is the DDT which I don't think anyone will miss considering it was probably the most useless move in 3rd strike.
