Hii apu im a usask student and recently got my study permit but there is a problem that my class have started from fall 2021 and i have taken only 3 credits for fall term....the registration deadline is also enden and my enrollment status is part time.....will there be any problem in immigration for my part time status problem if i try to come to canada in october... Eagerly needed your valuable suggestion.
Pls contact your Department advisor..as far I know, an international student should always keep full time status otherwise there would be issue getting visa, or post graduate work permit and so on. And i dnt understand why you want to study parttime which demands more money and elongate the whole process.. u can request to defer your semester and start in winter term and register required courses for fulltime.. I think you still hve time to drop out for this term or talk to your advisor.. I dnt think it would be wiser to start after a month as here the study is intense..goodluck

Viya,, she has long work experience so its actually doesnot matter even if you have long gap or not..coz you hve a reason to create this gap..I was in the same department and i hve seen lot of my classmates came to continue their study after 10 yrs of their job..so it would be fine if you can clearly state the purpose of your study
Eca is not needed for study visa as far I know..it is only needed for immigration purpose..but I would suggest you to have it so you can actually utilize it in future if you need it
