  • Great Britain's Derek Kinlock set a new lifetime best of 20.72 to secure gold in the men's 200m final.
    With victory also taking place in the 100m and 400m finals in Tallinn, Kinlock's gold declared a clean sweep of sprints at the European U20 championships for Great Britain.

      @@socman3988 Eurovision is one thing (AUS joined now for some weird reason as well), European Championship and traditional participants there something else. Personally: Israel (and perhaps even Turkey) shud join "AfroArab Games", of which the geographically belongs to.

      @@MogulMonk1 I think we know why Egypt will never join or be allowed. It's not a new thing either, I've always wondered.
      Part of Turkey is in Europe so it makes some sense that they'd be included. There are no "AfroArab" games; Israel would be competing in Asian Champs instead. North Africans compete in both African events and Pan-Arab ones. Israel being neither African nor Arab would not be eligible.

    Some of the races, these kids need to work on technique. A few running like penguins the way they are swinging their arms, especially the winner in this one. They'd go a lot faster when that's sorted out.

      That's not slow, and only one U20 from the US can break 20. He's the record holder. Knighton is just super fast; he's a phenomenon. That's like expecting all professional senior sprinters to be as fast as Bolt.
