Looks like there should be something to lock the vehicle in place. My luck it would roll right off the edge. My wife's uncle got killed by a lift, so a little caution may be warranted!
The car is in park and that is what makes it stay in place, you could set the ebrake if needed. I have heard horror stories about people being killed from cars off lifts.
Awesome score Eric !!!!!!!I've been wanting a lift , maybe 1 day ????You were right , I love the Johnny Bucket and Sleeve Hitch on my GT6000 , Its actually amazing what I can do around here with it .
It really does make that garden tractor into a "Real Tractor" doesn't it? I've done some pretty heavy duty jobs with my setup around here over these last few years.
We were talking about getting one of these or something like it. My husband fixes push mowers, Lawn Boys are the specialty. :) He does need one of these. Thanks for the review.
I've been looking to see if there is a simple quick modification that would allow a lift like this to lift at the frame so I could pull wheels and do brake work on ATV's, golf carts, etc. I guess a jack stand type device might work but may not be worth the trouble.
Man I doubt this one could pull that off. I wouldn't go past 5500lbs. just to be safe. I do love it though and it works with frame on stuff like my old 95 Toyota T100 as good as modern unibody stuff.
Y'know, it is not necessary to run the throttle WIDE OPEN whenever you drive your tractor. Thats just when mowing or working. You can lower the throttle to drive about, especially when driving up onto a lift. !
Good show last night good vid this morning. You are busy my man. Your on my list to look at often. My wife is cat lover. I was watching in the background. Dreams was a good topic.
We love our cats here at Farpoint. They have made a few special guest appearances over the years in the various videos I've uploaded. If you liked last nights show, hang in there as that was not our best. Hopefully I'll be over this cold and ready to go again for this weeks show. "future tech and lost cultures" I can't wait!
Her handle is cat lover but i figure you have cats in the backdrop. Icy morning here. Gotta leave early for work. Ill be wTching your next shows. Good work
Exactly how would this help if you were going to "go ahead" and remove a tire? It seems to me leaving the tractor on the ground and jacking one end would work best for that.
Put a 2x6 across the lift and jack up which side you need. I think it would be better than on the ground. It would work for me, may not have thought that 40 yrs ago.
Always nice not having to get up off the concrete and your back and knees hurt for the next hour , we ain’t getting any younger !! Looks practical and useful for many jobs 👍 what is the weight capacity ? Didn’t I see that Yugo up on it a few videos ago 🤔 ??
The weight limit is 6000 pounds, so more than enough for any of the vehicles I have here on the farm. I wish I had bought this last year, but no.. The Yugo was done entirely on the ground. This year when I started looking for my winter project I decided that I couldn't do that trick anymore and went out to find this lift. Now it's mid-winter and I STILL haven't found a project car. A little bummed, but it is what it is.
Just asking what can ya do with this besides Just Lifting it Seem,s to Me That It only can do that cause unless you Secure it some How it,s going to fall off Just saying If ya lift a wheel to change it will fall offHow do ya work on the Rear End If I want to lift it How ?Lot of My Hard Earned Money For Show Item ther been said don,t look Safe to me Could Be Wrong But show Me And I Will SAy Sorry Ok Thank,s Again
This lift it more for cars and trucks, but you can use it for tractors. I have since built a 3/4 inch plywood frame for it so that I can lift a tractor up, and then put it on jack stands to work on the trans or wheels. It's nice on the back!
Wouldn't take much thought to put some D rings on it like on a trailer, and use a 1" ratchet strap to secure the mower, atv, utv, golf cart, wheel chair, etc. to it.

How much was it

This is way better than a handy lift. Thank for this. Subbed and bell rang!
It sure is easy on the back.
Awesome lift! I would have never guessed it could lift that high! If I can find one to pick up my 7.3 excursion, that would be great!

!
I try not to run full throttle on this one, the owners manual said not to and so far I have not really seen a need for it.

I use my cb in the garage to get a real road report each morning. Great tool
Man, I watch Musty use his and Sixty Five Ford has a Home brew one. I want...would like one.!
When did you buy that lift

Can you put an ATV / UTV on it? Thinking of buying one.
Could a golf cart fit that I wonder?
Most certainly. I've used this lift with one.
Good thumbs up
HI. where did you buy this lift and how much did you pay, thanks
What about the wheel base though? Is it adjustable? Thinking of my z mowers and aerators.
Whats a SCUT?
!
SCUT- Sub-Compact Utility Tractor
How far do the rolling legs travel from full down to full up?
Damn, I put an off road LED light on my mower too 😂
They are GREAT when plowing or working at night. I feel like It's daytime the things are so bright.
At 46, I have dealt with terrible low back pain. I bought this thing I lay on every day that seems to be helping quite a bit. Google "spine-worx"
I've got those same lower back issues. I will be sure to look into this. Thanks for the tip!

Now my lawn tractor question is answered, thanks. Has anyone seen this lift used for golf carts and UTVs
I am sure that you could use it for a golf cart or UTV with no issues.
Do you think the arms would swing in far enough or are you thinking it would work with some modifications. Thanks for responding.
