- Fly fishing the Ahuriri Valley on the first day of 2024. Wishing you all the best and hope it's going to be a better year. Good bye 2023 and those memorable times.
I would like to thank my family, friends, colleagues and supporters for making this happen.

You have captured of flyfishing in this video. It's less about pulling fish in, and much much more about the setting, the search for that special fish, analysis of how to test your skins and knowledge to induce a take.
Well done
This is a classic kind of spot in NZ where you drive all the way up the valley, walk up the river, and find ten thousand bootprints...
You will NOW!
Brilliant! Standing room only….is that a S A accent I hear? …thanks.
I should of taken my rod when I was their the other day
How do you know when the have taken the fly
It’s a dry fly, can see it from the surface
Nice. I've been enjoying your stuff SF. Nice to see low-key stuff from NZ that still gets great fish. It is addictive, eh? 🙂 Hope you keep 'em coming. Have a great year in '24. Cheers from across the ditch. PP
Thanks PP. where across the ditch are you based? I was living in sydney for a year last season.
@@SurgeonFishing G'day! Yeah, I saw your stuff around Lithgow. We are near Wollongong, fish mainly around Lithgow/Oberon and the Snowies. Fishing has been great over here for the last 3yrs or so, lots of rain. Really love to get a sense of a rough area you are in, it's nice to see different parts of NZ. Such a great country. Your rod looks unusual?? Keep 'em coming and let us know if you are back over here and need a lift! Cheers PP
It’s a carbon fibre wrap rod, known as the Epic Black Mamba made in NZ.
@@SurgeonFishing Thanks. Looks interesting. I thought it was an epic. I'll check it out. Always intersting to see things a bit out of the ordinary. Have a great year. PP
