How to Create The Economist Style Charts in R Using ggplot2 and Tidyverse

- In this video, I recreate the Economist chart "If everyone had voted, Hillary Clinton would probably be president". I show how to do basic data wrangling to prepare the data for plotting. I also go over basic chart design and how to use things like geom_segment. Then I go over how to format things like axes, annotations, and create logic for custom color groupings. Finally, I teach how to copy styles and apply them to your own data visualizations.
