      Your right. Every other demo did not bring out a sound like this. This is the sound I’m sure most 2000-2023 rockers/metal players want to hear and none of the other demos even came close.

    great demo and excellent riffs and playing as ever!
    Seems like a great sounding amp, lots of cool tones on offer. I think I prefer the layout of earlier Mark amps but this seems great for having more channels with simpler controls (and other modern conveniences). IMO all the mark amps deliver, and this is no exception.

      @blakemansfield2356  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Impossible to say without having them side by side (which I don’t). I’d guess that the C+ will sound and feel a little warmer and “worn in”. A little more modern here. It’s really fun to play and the amp overall is incredibly impressive

  • @chrisx742
    @chrisx742 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is a great video. The Mark sound, to my ears, has a really girthy low end with lots of saturation/harmonics, the top end is open and singing, and it is (somehow) simultaneously both scooped and mid heavy! All great things.
    At the beginning of the video I thought "I have to buy this amp!", but by the end of the video, I realized that every mode and every sound coming from this amp has the same Mark signature applied to it. The high gain modes all are so similar that you can't tell which one is being used, and the low/mid gain tones still have that low-mid Mark "push" that keep it from doing the Marshall thing.
    Maybe that could be de-emphasized with the GEQ, but there is only ONE GEQ!
    Great high gain and clean sounds, but the rest of it isn't for me.

    Cool video, Blake. Interesting how the IIb setting on the third channel almost seems like what you'd want for a dirty rhythm channel? It is less "gainy" than the crunch setting on channel 2? I guess you could use channel 2 for leads and the IIb setting for your typical channel 2 dirty rhythm?

    Hey Blake! I just got a Mark VII head and I was hoping you'd share with me which cab or impulse you used for this demo. If mic'd up, what mic did you use? Kinda struggling with the tones on mine and after heariing your demo it makes me wonder if there's something wrong with the one I bought. i've tried three different cabs - a Mesa oversized 4x12 straight w/slant face, a Marshall 1960A, and my old Boogies 2x12 cabs with the metal grills - can't quite get there with any of my cabs. Also, please let me kknow which guiitar and pickups you used in this demo. Struggling and need your help. Thank you for the very encouraging demo! This is not my first Boogie Mark Series amp. I also owned an original Mark II C+ for over a decade and never encountered issues dialing it in.

  • @Tiger1016.
    @Tiger1016. ปีที่แล้ว

    Interestingly different way to dial it in. Solves the issues I have had in the other demos which reminded me of my struggles with the Mark V 90w, which was what I would describe as too boxy of mids and the gain tones being too sterile and lacking some natural looseness. The way dialed it, with the mids on the preamp controls being at or near zero seemed to solve for these issues, but the trade off is the tone seemed a bit too mushy and soft for my preferences in the higher gain tones. Way too many ways to dial this in to make any judgments without being able to try it out though.
    That said, I had fantasies that Mesa would eventually do a Mark V like successor with preset storing with midi recall (because these things are way too versatile to be stuck getting bogged down with having to spend so much time tweaking to dial in the next tone), so I was pretty disappointed to see the midi on the back and then get pretty damaged disappointed to figure out I'll have to wait for the Mark X in another 10 years to maybe see that happen, assuming KKR does not run Gibson and Mesa into the ground and a bankruptcy encore before then.

  • @nuke1upgames913

    • @vaportrails7943
      @vaportrails7943 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve had both, and I would say yes. The core tones are basically the same, but the Mark V can sound smaller and over-processed because of all the extra circuits they added. The VII is more raw and bigger sounding.
