The skulls on the structure reminded me of First Nation sky burials.

Butter and Eggs are actually wild snapdragons. Always called them butter and eggs back in the day.😊 Yeah those skulls were a bit creepy.

I was walking on a trail in our local county park. Its a trail in the woods and came upon a deer leg bone hanging on a tree and later found a skull hanging against the tree. It was creepy, but figured it was someone amusing themself. If you go on trail you will come across something strange, odd or neat. I love being in nature, so quiet, pretty

Nice hike. I’ve seen skulls on my hike too one time. The strange thing was is that the skull wasn’t there when I started the hike but was there on my way back. Love yarrow too and when my video comes out, I tell a story of how it saved me. Hope you see it. 🤗 have a great weekend Cliff.

All that was missing were old dolls hanging by their necks off of tree branches to complete the creepiness! Lol! That is always a nice hike.👍

Quite a few years ago I was exploring one of my favorite parks near where I live and came across some creepy things in the woods - skulls tied to trees, weird stick figures hung up from branches and such - and just thought it was kids with entirely too much time on their hands. Several month later I went to see The Blair Witch Project and suddenly it all made sense. . .

Look up sky burials. The platform reminded me a lot of these burials that a lot of the native tribes (Navajo, Dakota, Sioux and a few others) mostly tribes west of the Mississippi river performed when someone honorable passed on. It is the practice of putting the body in an elevated position so that the birds are carrying the soul to heaven.

Nice walk n the woods. You should do a video of Rt 897 from Gap to Lebanon. From Gap to White horse , lots of Amish farms and then the Welch Mountains. Shady Maple for a lunch. or their Market. It is a beautiful ride.

Cliff, I found that walking almost on a lot of people's private property more creepy then the skull lean-to. At least at the skulls there weren't any folks nearby but there had to be people living right there on that land just a few feet away if that.🤔🤔🤔

I like these woodsy, mostly level hikes....but....I don't like how they go through peoples yards. I don't think I'd like to have a trail going through my backyard either. Didn't like the sound of those dogs either. 🥺
