I would pay you to do my makeup. I am not good at it and I get very anxious about doing it so I don’t. Your soothing demeanor is so nice for teaching those of us who are overwhelmed by makeup. I used to like it, but as I get older, I don’t know how to judge how makeup looks on me. You do an excellent job teaching your application technique for someone like me who doesn’t know what I’m doing.

I hate to break it to whoever made the comment to you that you’re “not a makeup artist”, but literally anyone can be a makeup artist. I attended Aveda cosmetology school and have been doing makeup for 17 years and it’s not some exclusive club, you can be a makeup artist without ANY certifications at all. The majority of working artists I know are all self taught. It is art and like any other form of art it is free to interpretation. I would argue the fact that you having more than 5 thousand people watching you, you are in fact an artist. Artistry comes in alllllll levels. Some people are just miserable and always looking to bring others down. You’re beautiful and doing a great job. Your channel is very soothing and you have a perfect voice for ASMR.
There is nothing wrong with her doing her make up and showing it to others on TH-cam. Also nothing wrong being self taught, but you can’t call yourself a Makeup artist if you’re not doing makeup or never have done make up on other people. So let’s not create any illusions here.

I’m a licensed cosmetologist. I have a tip for you about cleaning your make up brushes. Take a clean paper towel and make it about three thicknesses, pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol on it. Rub your make up brushes back-and-forth until they’re clean. Using rubbing alcohol Will help them to dry really fast. I never liked using soap and water, because the brushes could stay damp in the middle for a long time when they stay damp, you run the risk of bacteria. That’s another reason you wanna clean them regularly, so make up doesn’t bring bacteria. Have fun with make up. That’s what it’s for! 😊
Straight ALCOHOL WILL destroy brushes, natural or synthetic, in no time FLAT.... For in between thorough brush washes its fine, but NOT as a Primary method to wash brushes...

I started as a makeup artist at 13, backstage at hair shows with my mother, a hairdresser. I’m now 55, still a makeup artist…. Make. My living at it. I LOVE YOU. I am so sick and tired of these “artists” “influencers” who are just plumped up and fake, and making regular people like us feel bad unless you do all the new trendy stuff and have enough makeup on that you could scrape it off with a palette knife. My favorite client is the one who just wants to look like herself, but feel better and have fun, look “ happy”.. not fake or like someone else. You look beautiful and you’re doing a fantastic job!

I hate to break it to whoever made the comment to you that you’re “not a makeup artist”, but literally anyone can be a makeup artist. I attended Aveda cosmetology school and have been doing makeup for 17 years and it’s not some exclusive club, you can be a makeup artist without ANY certifications at all. The majority of working artists I know are all self taught. It is art and like any other form of art it is free to interpretation. I would argue the fact that you having more than 5 thousand people watching you, you are in fact an artist. Artistry comes in alllllll levels. Some people are just miserable and always looking to bring others down. You’re beautiful and doing a great job. Your channel is very soothing and you have a perfect voice for ASMR.

I’m a licensed cosmetologist. I have a tip for you about cleaning your make up brushes. Take a clean paper towel and make it about three thicknesses, pour a small amount of rubbing alcohol on it. Rub your make up brushes back-and-forth until they’re clean. Using rubbing alcohol Will help them to dry really fast. I never liked using soap and water, because the brushes could stay damp in the middle for a long time when they stay damp, you run the risk of bacteria. That’s another reason you wanna clean them regularly, so make up doesn’t bring bacteria. Have fun with make up. That’s what it’s for! 😊

Straight ALCOHOL WILL destroy brushes, natural or synthetic, in no time FLAT.... For in between thorough brush washes its fine, but NOT as a Primary method to wash brushes...
