Another happy Tuesday saw the Lynx win their way into the WNBA finals as we provided the soundtrack. We filled Heidi’s request for the Louis Armstrong classic “What a Wonderful World,” Janet’s request for CCR’s “Who Will Stop the Rain,” and someone’s request for Cheap Trick with “Surrender” and “I Want You To Want Me.” Dan surprised us by stepping in “Poison Ivy” via The Coasters, and we surprised ourselves by making it all the way through Elvis Costello’s “New Lace Sleeves.” Connie returned to the Driftwood and smiled a lot more than she used to while she was cooking there. She sat in on drums for us on Tin Lizzy’s “The Boys Are Back in Town” (uhh, shoulda sang The Girls Are Back in Town, opportunity missed) and our own song “Southside.” Vic Volare joined after the break and sang his tune “Don’t Wait For Tomorrow.” Other originals included “Look at the Moon, Betty,” “Free and Alive,” “Spitballin,” and “Grand Canyon.”
