Great trip. Again, another big Ferry route connecting Honshu and Shikoku Island, this time from Kobe to Niihama, which when I see the map on video, it's looks close but when i see sailing time it's 7 hours. Yeah this two island is well connected by bridge, but Ferry between this two island is still exist in some part of area because of trucking industries. Bit curious, there are plenty of semi trailer without head tractor at port, any reason for this? Yeah the ferry feel deserted, especially only you as a foot passenger, and the room can't be locked, but thankfully your ferry running on Seto Inland Sea, meaning there are no big wave like in Pacific Ocean, or maybe Sea of Japan, and your room's door is not swinging.

We had to come up with the design for the logo of the new hotel, a box lunch, an announcements cards, a poster, and the design for the lobby. Fun project. That was our first exposure to Japanese culture. Am designing my house in a Wabi Sabi philosophy in bringing harmony in nature into the house and simplicity of space. Something I haven’t forgotten about the Japanese culture was their food, saka,,sushi,.🍣 and noodles soup. However, this route between Kobe City and Niihama City is not well known because it is mainly for cargo, not for tourists. I'm surprised that there are normal passenger rooms and sleeping berths.

I've been here (the port) last February, bound to Shin Moji. At night, as a Solo Traveler it was intimidating. Got scared won't make it to my Ferry. It was night and totally dark.

夜の神戸はほんとに魅力的ですね。この船にWIFIはありませんが、そもそも船内WIFIは陸から離れると機能しないので、あまり意味がないようです。ただ、瀬戸内海航路はおおむね電波がけっこう届くので、普通にスマホは使えることが多いです😸

この航路まだあるのですね。新居浜に縁があるのですが、大阪航路は東予港からバスがあるので、そちらを使ってます。多喜浜駅まで徒歩つらいです。

I've been here (the port) last February, bound to Shin Moji. At night, as a Solo Traveler it was intimidating. Got scared won't make it to my Ferry. It was night and totally dark.
This boarding area in Kobe is lonely at night because the streets are deserted. If you are going to Shinmonji, you can use the bus.😸

恥ずかしいですがおれんじフェリー神戸↔新居浜間は初めて知りました😮神戸六甲アイランドは昔アイランド北口駅からは連絡バス🚌あったんですが今はないのですね😢なんだかさみしい気持ちです。でもなぜか不思議な気分ですね。船内の毛布はむかしのオレンジフェリー８・７の毛布ですね懐かしいです。この動画観て懐かしさを感じましたありがとうございました。
おれんじフェリーの７＆８とは懐かしいですね！８は釜山～済州島を航行してましたが、最近は休眠状態のようです。アイランド北口からバスは現在も運行しているのですが、さんふらわあと阪九用で、この船用のバスはありません。次回は新居浜からも乗ってみたいです😸

それはそうと、アイランドの夜中は人影が無くてちょっと怖い感じですね。
外国人比率が増えると一気に治安が悪化しそうです。（ちょっと偏見？）
この船も年末年始やお盆の時期は乗客が増えるそうです。六甲アイランドは駅周辺はマンションが多くて活気があるのですが、このフェリーが発着するのは人工島の北東端近くで、人はほぼ住んでいません。外国人の方たちが居住することもなさそうですが、夜はとにかく寂しいですね😸

この深夜便は、RORO船と言った感じでコンテナ、トラック輸送で成り立っています。一般客、乗用車などはおまけ的な感じですね。たとえば新日本海フェリーなどコンテナ輸送で成り立っています。乗船でも初めにコンテナ、トラック、乗用車の順番で積み込みされます。中、長距離フェリーはコンテナ輸送で利益得ているんですね。他はおまけみたいな物ですね。コンテナがいっぱい積み込まれていたでしょう。

公式HPを見ると南港東予航路がメインになっていて、神戸新居浜航路はその下に掲載されていました
あくまでも貨物主体なので旅客は本当にオマケ、船内設備も超簡素なので徒歩乗船するなら南港から乗ってねってことなんでしょうね
貨物でじゅうぶん利益が出ているので、今さら徒歩客には力を入れない方がいい、という考え方のようです。大阪～東予とも競合してしまうという事情もあるのでしょうね😸
@@capsulejapan昔は旅客船が新居浜〜大阪と、東予〜大阪間それぞれ一往復運航（オレンジ7又は8が交代で運航）されていて、更に新居浜〜神戸間のオレンジホープが運航されてました。旅客船が新居浜に寄らなくなったので、新居浜市民のほとんどは本州に行く場合高速バスか、JR、マイカーを利用しています。後、特急いしづちの車両激レアですよ。まだ3両しか無い8000系リニューアル編成です。
新居浜の人たちにとってもあまりなじみのない船なのでしょうね...。いしづち、そんなにレアだったとは知りませんでした！😸
@@capsulejapan今年の8月からは、しおかぜ5両編成も リニューアルされますよ。ちなみに、オレンジフェリーの本数が減った原因の一つがおれんじ7&8の老朽化で新しいフェリーを作らないといけなかったが、予算が足りなかったみたいです。もちろん需要も減っていたのも事実です。

フェリーが好きで四国オレンジフェリーのサイトもよく見てますが、神戸→新居浜航路ってホムペでも載っていませんよね😂
以前はあったのは知っていましたが、もう廃止か貨物専用になっているのかと思っていました。 乗船の時に、なんで作業員の車に乗っているのか一瞬意味が分かりませんでした。 まさか搭乗ブリッジさえ使用しないとは（笑） 自分は四国ツーリング行くのに南港→東予しか考えていませんでしたが、バイクも乗れるのかちょっと調べて見ます（笑）
新居浜航路は以前だとサイトの下の方に載っていたのですが、実は現在もサイトマップから入るとたどりつけるみたいです。ただ、ネット予約はできませんが。コンテナ輸送で成り立っている航路ですが、徒歩客にも対応してくれるのはありがたいですよね。車両も乗船できるので、ぜひツーリングの際は利用されてみてくださいね😸

まず、出発港にトレーラーを牽引して来た運転者は、船会社の指示する場所にトレーラーを停めて、ヘッドを切り離す。船内には乗り入れない。そして、港に停めてある到着貨物のトレーラーを連結し、その貨物を目的地まで引いて行く。
出発港に置いて行った貨物は、船会社と契約した積み下ろし業者のトレーラーヘッドが船内に積み込む。
到着港では、到着港側の契約業者が船内から貨物を引き出し、陸上に並べておく。その貨物を持って行くのは、荷受側のトレーラーヘッド。そのヘッドも、港まで別の発送貨物を引いて来て、積込貨物用の駐車場で貨物を切り離して置いて来たのかも知れない。
このやり方のメリットは、
狭い船内でトレーラーを駐車するのは、専門業者に任せた方が安全かつ効率的である。
陸上側のトレーラーヘッドの運転者は、港への往復で仕事ができてムダ足にならない。
ということである。

So those trucks they load in supposedly have drivers, meaning really you aren't the only person on board. Just the only person on foot.

こちらのフェリーは綿貫渉氏の動画で拝見していますが、徒歩でそのまま乗船できないのはびっくりです。
ちなみにこちらのフェリーはネットから予約ができない（電話予約のみ）、クレジットカードが使えないとのことです。
乗客が少ないので乗用車で徒歩客を運搬する方が低コストなのでしょうね。電話予約で現金支払いのみというのもむしろ新鮮でした😸

Such large ship for one passanger. Lol, Ship ferry company(ies) in my country would not travel for one passanger, nope at least 40-50 percent is needed for least profitable route for ship to actually leave port.

昔は沢山人乗ってたけどね、今は、瀬戸大橋、しまなみ街道出来たから。使い道がなくなった、それでも、お盆休み、年末年始の帰省には人でごった返します
