I am conditioned for all horror movies I’ve seen every single horror movie out there and I have never been more unsettled more uneasy more uncomfortable than watching longlegs it is a tricky movie to get around, noting it’s both serial killer satan rituals cursed dolls, but the movie works around that and makes it super creepy scary and unpredictable like all other movies…
Favorite things I’ve noticed after multiple views of this movie: -In Longlegs’ interrogation recording, he says, “and you’ll be there, and you’ll be there, and you’ll be there”; he is speaking directly to agent Browning, Carter, and Harker (in that order) -the opening POV is actually from the veiled doll in the passenger seat -Lee’s mom tells her “I kept all of your things” which is the name of the second chapter in the movie -Longlegs’ electric guitar in the basement. You hear it playing when Lee is opening her mailbox, and you see him buying earplugs for it at the hardware store. I adore the idea that he’s a metal head, because so much of that genre is heavily influenced by satanism -Ruby and little Lee with their matching long braids -The “Come on Down” music from Price is Right playing in the background when Lee enters her mom’s house -Lee is totally motionless in her mom’s flashback of her. Was that really Lee she was remembering, or the doll? -Carrie Anne’s doll saw Lee and/or her mom, which is why she mentions recognizing Lee during the beginning of their conversation Love you, Mike!! Thanks for the extra long reaction, I feel like this movie deserves it lmao
Also after watching this again last night I’m 99% sure that the house Lee hears the guitar playing from (she looks to it while she’s checking her mailbox) IS her mom’s house. They live right next to each other
I know a lot of people thought this movie sucked but it’s my favourite of the year so far. Nicolas Cage stole the show as Longlegs, what perfect casting! So disturbing
@@mundaneamazing It surprises me that people didn’t see the second half coming tbh. If you’ve seen the directors other films there’s usually a supernatural aspect so I was expecting it going in and I really enjoyed it.
This movie was done SO brilliantly. A lot of the scenes with Lee Harker feature the devil in the background somewhere. So fun to rewatch and try and spot him like where’s Waldo. All of the actors were on point and doing their best for this film. Was an amazing theatre experience.
It was uncomfortable. Especially Nic, but the ending was just giving..... that's it? And I actually spent money to watch it bc it was hyped up so much 😂😭
@qmanparry9336 Yessss, it was very eerie and uncomfortable. Nic Cage was a goat in this. Made me feel very uncomfortable. But the ending just disappointed me. 😭
I absolutely was in a state of laughter at some of the singing, didn’t mean it wasn’t creepy to me. I had to wait till the morning to watch this video lmao.
Hey Mike!! Glad you like the movie. I know it’s very diverse and people were expecting more but I love the subtle details and eeriness of it. It’s one of my favorite movies this year. Have a good day Mike. Always enjoy your videos my dude
You're literally me when I'm stoned in the theater thinking in my head Movie is Top 5 of the year. Cuckoo is a fun one to watch too. The place she was in reminds me of my Step-Dad's on the lake before he moved. Shit was so peaceful at night, especially in the winter. That scene reminded me of the 10 years going there hanging out. Maika Monroe is top 5 of horror right now. So many good ones.
When I watched this movie the first time the supernatural twist caught me COMPLETELY off guard. I'm absolutely obsessed with the silence of the lambs series, and this film is a huge homage to those films, so I was 100% expecting it to be just like those movies and that it was going to be revealed that Longlegs was somehow killing these people or his accomplice(s) were for him, or he was brainwashing the fathers somehow, or running a cult, or SOMETHING rational, and then when the twist happens and it's a straight up occam's razor and no actually it really was black satanic magic the entire time and it was really just that simple totally blew my mind. I just watched it for the second time with my wife right before watching this and watching it again knowing the ending, the signs are there THE WHOLE MOVIE and it's so abundantly and blatantly obvious the entire time, it's right in front of your face, but just like Lee's mother says about the doll and the Devil telling her where to look and what not to see, that's exactly what the movie did to me. I saw what I wanted to see and ignored all the blatant supernatural stuff as just being symbolic and imaginary or in Lee's head, when no, it was really happening. Genuinely one of my new favorite films.
I wonder if they got some inspiration for this movie from “Silence of the Lambs.” Nic Cage is giving me Buffalo Bill vibes. And her a little like Clarice Starling.. idk, maybe it’s just me. Lol
Oz Perkins is definitely not a jump scare kind of guy, you should watch more horror movies that don’t do that because it is thought of as kinda cheap. Movies like Hereditary for example that don’t rely on jump scares.
The devil was actually going for lee all along. The devil keeping that other little girl alive (one in the pysch ward) was on purpose so that she could point lee in the right direction, that's why the girl died shortly after cause she forfilled her purpose. This is why longlegs keeps singing happy birthday to lee. The devil wanted her all along cause longlegs let her go and made a deal. But it was finally her time. So at the end we believe lee died and not the little girl. It was a set up and is why the devil possessed Lees mum at the last second in order to kill her.
Did you watch Alien Romulus or you saving that for your channel?. Would love to hear what you thoughts on it. I personally enjoyed and the ending was haunting to say the least. This one however was definitely a story with susbtance and loved the multiple twists. It felt like X Files.
Cage commented that he inspired longlegs's behaviour on his mother's since she had or still has some mental issues, i really dont know the full context but maybe that's why it didn't come out as just funny, there are people like this to some degree

Carrie Anne was talking about seeing Lee’s mother deliver the doll.

People who thought the movie sucked probably smoked way too much crack prior to watching it.
Only people who didn't like it are the casual horror watchers who don't know a good horror movie if it sat on their face.
I'm a huge horror fan and found the second half of this movie laughably bad.
@@mundaneamazing Congratulations?

can always count on mike to hate on a character’s flashlight in movies. 😂 LOVED this movie and i’m glad you enjoyed yourself for so much of it too!
The edit on the thumbnail brought me here LOL love it.

@@andrewcruz3837 as it seems your vocabulary for reasoning is, sir.
Nic’s character creeped me and my mom out so much, I was scared to be in the dark after watching it tbh. 😂
love when you include your review at the end!
I love the tiny details especially in the beginning, you’re in the car watching from the dolls perspective under the black veil, lees doll.
Ik a lot of people hated this movie but I loved it, seeing it in theatres was a crazy experience. Great video as always Mike keep it up.

Osgood Perkins knew what he was doing. This is a brilliant film. With even more terrifying twists and turns towards the end.

I'm excited to see what you think of this one Mike. My only question is... Did you wear your long legs today? 😁
MIIIIIIKE!!! Love your videos, happy to see you watch a… wild one!! 😂
Well done, you clocked my homegirl from It Follows. Adore that movie.
I love mikelawz reaction to It Follows!😁
This movie is cinema magic.

Great film, a lot of details in the background that make this one very rewarding upon rewarding.

A lot of people hate it but it truly had me unsettled

Happy Friday Mike and Crew!
Just watched the movie last night. Right on time for this!
This is like if all 3 Hannibal movies had a baby and this….this would be it *on a side note*• where’s your home boy?
Thank you for the reaction!:) I liked this movie a lot! Very creepy
I loved the movie because honestly…horror/thriller movies suck if the plot is boring. Loved the execution on this one!
bruh the thumbnail. omg 💀
“poo poo gas” my brain must be FUCKED cause this made me laugh so hard, idk
Nic Cage plays a creepy ass character!!!
Everyone else reacting to LongLegs doing his “MUMMMMYYYY” screaming 😱 😮
Mike reacting - “Yooo that’s sickkkk” 😅
I want to see this so bad. I almost died when I read the envelope with January 14th on it I thought it said 15th that's my bday. 😅
Bro after this movie I felt like I had to repent lol

what part of Mass you from?
It makes no sense that they said the families were alone in the house when Lee's mom runs out right after the murders, drenched in blood..
🎉🎉

@punyparkerr yeah, it was a brilliant movie. And you're right... I didn't think he's ever mentioned the franchise before. Here's to hoping 🤞
are you actually in Boston or a suburb
29:02 what's wrong with her hair Mike 😂
Why are you wearing sunglasses inside? How can you see the movie?
R u gonna watch the Alien movies?

Ayoooo 100th like 🤌
Lee keeps getting referred to as an angel. Her last name is Harker. Like “hark the herald angel sing” she’s an angel, longlegs is a devil
💜💙🖤
I hate dolls they are so creepy 🙃 the concept of the movie was good though I enjoyed it
If the ending wasn’t boo boo I would give it a 10/10 but it lowkey brought it downhill
II CANNOTTTTT, Ur too much
As much as I enjoyed this movie, I still think ending was poorly executed 🤷
Are we ready to admit this film was hyped up just to give us a disappointing ending ?
Speak for yourself, movie is great and loved the ending
@@mattcollins3591 Myself and the rest that were disappointed
The ending was incredible.. just like the whole movie.
@@Matt-ns8nb For YOU
So many plotholes, too.
Not a single witness to a blood-soaked nun running out of the victims' houses?
Movie was way better before they went the typical haunted doll anti Christian bs.
