I would love to believe Michonne and Rick would have fallen in love even if Laurie had lived, but I think all that Rick, Michonne and Carl time together played a role in how close they became and that probably would not have happened if Laurie was there.
I still think it would've happened. Mostly because Laurie and Rick weren't compatible as they were in their youth, she was way more compatible with Shane. And the Rick was changing, and changing into the man, Michonne loves and needs.
Regarding your question about Rick staying with Lori even though Michonne is there? Yes Rick would have stayed for Carl and Judith but he would not be with Lori like a married couple. They probably would be in the same house but different bedrooms. Rick would have eventually made his way over to Michonne especially since Carl would have been taken with her. Of course Lori would have pitched a fit bcux she likes to treat Carl like a baby and try keep him away from Michonne. As for that fight I hate it also, but I'm glad Michonne got the best of the guvnor and took his eye. As for Andrea she got what she deserved and I didn't feel sorry for her one bit.
Lori was manipulative. She would have tried to get rick to turn on Michonne. In a way Carol tried it. She saw the influence Michonne had on Rick and tried to manipulate him in lying to & doubting her. Rick put a stop to her and said, nah...not Michonne. Can't get me to turn on her.
Rick would definitely have stayed with lori for Carl and Judith's sake. The marriage is over 💯, Richonne would've still happened but very slowly 🤴🏻👸🏾❤ Lori would have known by then she screwed up and lost Rick forever😊😊
