Never taking L’s - How Peoria is fighting violence through professional Boxing

One man who grew up in Pontiac, Michigan is bringing a sport focused on dedication and constant improvement to Peoria.
With one of the first major tournaments taking place on Saturday, 25News spent the day at the Peoria Friendship House with Coach Robert Bell and the members of K.O.K. Boxing as they held it’s inaugural championship fight.
One of the fighters says as he prepares for each fight, he thinks back to what Coach Bell’s wife told him to help him mentally prepare to take on the ring.
“She said, ‘tell yourself I’m going to win 10 times. I always do it ever since. I’m going to win this fight. I’m going to win this fight. I’m going to win this fight..”
