    Hi Danielle,
It’s been a total pleasure to watch your videos! And, I’m not even a preschool teacher! I was an elementary school teacher for 11 years & then I moved up & taught 7th & 8th Graders, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, & 7th Grade Remedial Language Arts.
And, I totally agree with you that Preschool is 100% the Foundational Years of a young child’s life!
    I started in K and I just kept moving up in grades: K, 3rd, Combo 3rd/4th, Combo 4th/5th/6th & then 7th/8th graders!
And by Kindergarten you can pinpoint which kids are already at a severe disadvantage academically, not to mention socially & emotionally!
Students I had in Kindergarten & then as 3rd graders, were now already 3-4 years behind in all basic skill areas!: Rdg, Wrtg, comprehension, basic math skills. These young kids were developmentally behind when they began schoolnot having ever attended a preschool nor having had a knowledgeable mom who could help them in anyway!
If I had it to do over again, I would teach Preschool. The pressures & demands placed on teachers in Elementary thru High School are now being put on Preschool Teachers!! And, at a Salary level that is completely embarrassing & insulting!!
Our society is going to continue to become weaker & weaker when compared to other industrialized countries that value preschool & the preschool teachers!!

Thanks you for voicing how many of us feel. I have been in the field for 30 years and sometimes feel that my job is not important, but on good days teaching fills me with joy. I will remain in the field as long as I can. Because I want to make a difference in our children's future. Thanks for all the good ideas and will keep watching 😊

I LOVED teaching and working with all those children but I had more bad days than good so I knew it was time to move on. Now, I tell myself I am still making a difference in children's futures by teaching their teachers!

Sorry to hear you feel like an imposter. You have a wealth of information to share, whether from podcasts you listen to, your education experience, classroom experiences and now professional development, which elevates your skill sets. Thanks for sharing! 🙂

I just found your videos today and am so thankful to finally find someone who focuses on preschool! I watch and listen to videos and podcasts on K-2nd grade but would prefer more on Preschool/pre-K. I have a licensed childcare and most days I absolutely love what I do… teaching our 3-5 year olds is such an important career and I hope other teachers see the importance in those early years and feel proud of what they do for a living! Please continue to make more videos! I will be watching all of them!

Thank you so much! I sometimes find it hard to find the time to record but still do when I can. What you do so important and it is great there are educators like you :)

Please keep sharing your knowledge! I get great ideas from you! The biggest need I have is for process art ideas. I feel like we marble paint a lot! 🤪. I also love your songs and small group ideas.

    Hi Danielle!
I absolutely love your videos and can see a huge amount of passion and creativity in each one. Please keep sharing your ideas and experiences- they are very helpful for many of us. Do you have resources/recommended training for managing challenging student behaviors?

I will be volunteering 100 hours as an ESL adult tutor (through our public library system in NYC). I don't want to treat them like children but I wonder if you can provide info, or a video with appropriate activities for adult English learners (reading and writing). Thx

Hi! Can you make a video about difficult behavior in the classroom such as screaming, hitting. What strategies have you used before in the classroom to support your students

This SO RESONATES with me. We’ve got to find a solution. In what ways are you finding, if any, that ECE teachers are organizing and joining efforts toward advocacy and unionizing?

To be honest, I mostly have seen teachers just accepting the way things are and/or giving up. It is sad. I wonder all the time what I can do!
