I think the olympics has a part to play in this, it seems to be all about the jump box crowd pleasers now for a visual judging system rather than a skill, creativity & use of course method of judging we had with the XGames & the Dew Tour! The Vans Cup is holding onto it however 🤘🏼
There are tons of other comps that aren't this... this is for the Olympics and they want things to quantify the score less subjectively than basically every other contest. This is what you get with UCI highlights...
Insane riders! im all for progression in the sport but seeing everyone basically do whips and barspins every two secs gets a little boring in my opinion, not taking it away from the riders there all extremely talented but flow and precise riding is what i look for. crazy to see how its evolved over the years

It's more out of comfort instead of attempting to increase difficulty. Kole Voelker does the same thing when he barspins.
