Rance Allen is actually the uncle of my biological half brother. I remember 1983. He and his brothers used to perform at the alcc festival in monroe, michigan and then also the river city festival downtown as well. They did this for several years str8 from like 1981 to 1985.They also would go out and warm up and practice on their mother's front porch on Almyra or in the empty field a few houses over and give a full blown free concert for like 3 hours. Rance is the 1 true righteous man I know.

I didn't know I was calling out to the Lord beyond my natural circumstances then. I would play Rance music and many others, gospel singers and I would sang along. This is one of my favorite songs, although I love the long version 18:01. This man was full of grace, with a profound message to share. He will be missed, but his legacy for last a lifetime. I still hear his VOICE!
