To kick off #VolunteersWeek we want to say a big thank you to all of the volunteers who support us every day. Whether they’re delivering life-saving lessons to members of the public in their spare time or responding to emergency calls alongside our ambulance crews, every single volunteer helps us to keep Londoners safe and well.
Our volunteer emergency responders are trained to respond to life threatening incidents, giving up their free time to save lives in London.
Find out more about what they do in this video

Given that the coroners Court has requested grades are displayed on eppaulettes to avoid confusion on scene, what is the actual grade for these individuals? My area crosses with LAS and we have attended under mutual aid conditions so knowing what they're capable of is rather important

They wear Sky Blue Epaulettes which is for Student Clinicians, Assistant Practitioners, Patient Transport or qualifications equivalent to FREC3/4 (eg. Emergency Responders which have Level 3 ASFR)
Dark Blue epaulettes are for Qualified Clinicians eg. Emergency Medical Technicians
Green epaulettes are for Registered Clinicians Eg. Paramedics, Nurses, Midwifes
