    My heart bleeds those poor dentists and doctors making less profit on their second homes. Buy to let has ruined the aspirations of the younger generation of getting on the property ladder by small landlords outbidding 1st time buyers on what is the more affordable end of the market. The quicker taxation is increased on this sector the better to swing the pendulum back in favour of ownership rather than the private rented sector

      Housing and rents are both going up and that is caused by the lack of housing being built. Don't blame the landlords, they are the supplier of rented accommodation. Blame the politicians that fail to promote the building of more homes.

    • @davidparry2301
      @davidparry2301 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Pete-cj4cg I’m not blaming the landlords. I’m specifically blaming politicians that have created policies that support profiteering from housing when others can’t manage to secure their first home. Landlords are just taking advantage of the situation. My point was the balance needs to change; less rented more ownership.

      Don’t be soft, it’s not the small time UK landlords you should be worried about it’s the damn international corporations you should be protesting, they’re buying up family homes at an alarming rate, they’re the major cause of rent and service charge increases thanks to their mates in government, so no the small time landlords aren’t the problem.
