That's definitely a convincing result. The motors on M2S seem powerful enough to carry many lenses as long as the center of gravity could fit on M2S and get balanced. I would consider it as my favorite gimbal for my A7 setup. Thank you, Pascal!
Thank you for testing this gimbal! I watched a lot of videos and was hesitant to put it on my shopping list, but it looks like it's doing pretty well! Being able to carry most of the Canon and SONY camera was perfect for my travel shoots 😄
I wish one day I could have as many lenses as you do. I think your tests answered the questions of 90% of APSC users. This little beast has more-than-enough power to offer for compact setups.
Good review!-in my opinion the best review of zhyun's new crane m2s. It has covered almost all the points that a user like me would really care about before buying, such as the compatibility, the difference between m3 and m2s, and which one should we choose. Good job!
Love your review as always, so underrated! This is sure a great gimbal for my Sony 6400 and Canon M50, can't wait to have my order arrived and try it out.
Whenever I don't get a perfect balance on the crane m2s, although it looks like the gimbal can handle it when using the gimbal, the footage shows the real deal, which is that if this gimbal isnt properly balanced, you will get crazy micro jitters in the footage
I didn’t get that. Did you put the camera perfectly to the right so that it touches the right plate and do you use a qr plate that lifts it up from the gimbal?
I have owned Sony zv-e10 for some time. I have been looking for a gimbal for it .At present, M2S is the best for me. The super light weight is very suitable for shooting when traveling.
Oh thank you very much that you showed me all three gimbals. I did can see visual size of all gimbal. I thought that m2 very small, and m2s same size with m3.
hi even i am considering it to buy for my zve10 ! just had a question , does it turn off face and eye autofocus feature when we connect it to M2S ? your feedback would be much appreciated
Thanks for the great rundown! I'm basically using your video as a shopping list..I perfer the longer run-time. The grey color is also way better for me because the white gets dirty quick.
I have a Canon EOS 60D. Is this camera compatible with this gymbal? I mean of course its not on the compatibility list because its an older camera, but can I mount it and stabilaze it? This camera is with mirror and a bit big: 5.7 x 4.2 x 3.1" (144.5 x 105.8 x 78.6mm) and almost 1000g with the stock objective.
Hi Thank you this video is really well done! I need a light gimbal for travelling, do you think that the M2S can be used with a Sony A7CR and a 20-60 mm sony? or it is better the M3S?
You can use it with the ZY app, but it does not have object tracking as far as I know. With the smartphone on top, it would just be too much for this gimbal to hold.
@@AkshayTravelFilms2 I never used the RC, you must know what you need from it and for which cameras and lenses you will use it. I'd say RC holds more but M2S is more travel friendly.
Great video. Loved the assessment of multiple lenses! I’m inclined towards the M2S for using with my Sony a6400 APS-C camera, but the lens I use is sigma 16mm f1.4. Think the gimbal will support this heavy lens nicely?
This is incredibly informative. Would balancing the 20mm f1.8 on the Sony A7C be the same or more difficult because the body : lens ratio is different.
Fantastic review ,-) One statement of yours particularly caught my attention: "It's too heavy for vlogging..." So, can you recommend a gimbal that you WOULD use with the ZV-E10 for vlogging. Thanks so much !
Great video, Pascal. I just bought my ZVe10 and I am looking now for a gimbal. I would like to know how it reacts when zooming in manually. Does zooming change the overall balance of the gimbal? I mean, using the 16-50 kit lens. But, thinking about getting another lens in the future with better zoom, could I use this gimbal? Do you think that controlling the zoom with buttos will arrive in a near future with any update of firmware? Thanks a lot
Hey Pascal, thanks for the review. I got this gimbal just last week and i like the size as well but have you tried this on a xh2s? Its not listed on the compability list but i gave it a try and it worked for a while but i think i might have worn out or killed off my motors because the thing just over heats and goes to sleep mode. Unfortunately the initial balancing isnt ideal because i feel the fuji cam is a bit heavier on one side and you have to set it up in such a way that its not the most optimal. TIA!
Great informative review even i am considering it to buy for my zve10 ! just had a question , does it turn off face and eye autofocus feature when we connect it to M2S ? your feedback would be much appreciated
Fantastic work as always, thank you! I had a few questions: Do you think the M2S will hold up okay if we're carrying it in our camera bag? Is it also possible to attach an extension pole to the bottom of the gimbal? And would it be able to support something like a GoPro 10 with a metal cage and mic attachment and have enough room so the motors aren't hitting the camera?
@@pascalbasel Thank you! I misunderstood what you meant by the "Expansion Base" at 8:56, thinking there was no screw at the bottom, but I see that was referring to the accessory you are plugging into at 8:54.

It will not start recording with the button, however it will STOP recording with the button if I manually start the recording from the camera shutter. I have absolutely no problem with start or stop with my A7s3, it works perfectly. So I am pretty sure there is no issue with the gimbal. I updated to the latest firmware on the gimbal and the A7IV. Not sure what I am doing wrong or if I missed any setting. I set the PC remote to ON under Transfer/Remote. Pretty sure either I am missed turned on or off a setting in the camera or A7IV is not totally compatible with this gimbal as far as the recording button unless you have no issue with yours. So do you have any trouble starting recording with your gimbal button on your A7IV??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks so much! Also the record button on the ZY play app wont work with the A7IV as well.
