Sometimes thinking about what Andy put together can seem almost more impressive than Lin's work when I think Lin got to write, rewrite, tweak, workshop, all of his brilliant ideas for 7 years and the choreography has to get done how quickly? I came in this thinking I could learn the routine easily within 10 minutes. I was wrong. I am 13 and I have been doing hip-hop my whole life yet i've never met a choreographer who actually uses the lyrics to make his moves (apart from lyrical choreographers) and I love how meaningful they are. I am hoping to learn this routine now within a week so hopefully I can! Wish me luck :)
My high school is doing a kind of Hamilton tribute as the finale of our cabaret performance and our choreographer gave us a dumbed down version of this choreography. Knowing the meaning behind the actual moves is really cool!

This is amazing. I loved hearing the thought process behind it as even if we never really understood the meaning behind it before. The breadcrumbs were always there. Which is why it looks so great. The choreography is a masterpiece in itself as it been planned and thought to the second.

I wish he was facing the mirror and the camera was diagonally behind him! (does that make sense?) It's hard to match this choreo head on without mirroring it. facing the mirror would make it feel more like a choreo rehearsal. Maybe i'm just a bad dancer who's alone in this thinking lmao
Just remember, the dancers do this on either side of Hamilton so there is no "correct" hand to do this with. Look at the Grammy performance for more reference if needed.
