Somethings NOT RIGHT. An al 80 should deliver more than that. But then again i dont know about illegally using it on chicken band (CB). On HAM bands it should give 800 watts on 80 meters. Craig extra class ky4pi
what do you know about maco 300 1 transformer with 7 tubes. do you know how many watts pep i could pump into it and what should my dead key be. im trying to tune it for pep
You should see around 600 watts. Maco’s where know to put out right at double what they were rated at. My Maco 750 does 1100 but 1 tube is super week. 8950 tubes put out lots of power
@@smokinjo79 guy i bought it from was doing 900 watts out of it my meter shows 500 on my set up. he had 45 watts pep going into it and dead key 3 watts was wanting to know what i could put in to it max pep swing i have 2 dead key and about 20 pep now in to it.
Got a D A amp tube type pushing 190 watts and cobra 29, great com-bo.

you should be getting 500-600wats with 50watts of drive in the AL-80

Iv had this in early 2000's ran it 2 watts In from president Washington base station cruised all day
