- Well here we are, at the iron revenant himself - Mordekaiser! This champion is fascinating and I apologise in advance for the amount of words I most definitely pronounced wrong! But oooooooooooft this guy is cool!

I love mordekaiser, he's my main and I believe this is truly a masterpiece. His design and voicelines (in English specifically) are the best ones I've heard in league.
And then he created his own afterlife, with Blackjack and hookers.
While classic Mordekaiser has the corny silliness of Skeletor, modern Mordekaiser matches the scheming menace of Sauron.
YESS I actually cut a comment where I compared him to sauron xD so I completely agree!
But their similarity ends on the visual, giant in black armour with mace, as characters so Sahn-Uzal barbarian warchief who didnt get his "Valhalla", and Sauron fallen angel who tried to rebuild world in his image.

Mordekaiser rules over Mitna Rachnuun, an incredibly small pocket dimension of the Afterlife. He is powerless against Kindred, or any actual Deity , and is not a deity himself.
@@baisansebastian3358 Kindred is powerless against people who are immortal. Everyone can fight Kindred and win. Mostly because Kindred is death. For example if you got into a car crash and you have a 50/50 chance of survival. If you wake up and survive you have beaten Kindred. Kindred is like Amumu just a legend. What I don't understand is LoR Kindred. She is real because she was chosen to be Death by the Mask Mother. So take what im saying with a grain of salt
@@negate4828 Kindred are incredibly real, and are hunting down those who cheated death. They simply take their time as they have eternity , and a lot of people to deal with.
You can fight Death in the sense of struggling to survive an injury or accident, but you cannot cheat it without drawing their ire. It is one thing to outrun Wolf/Dodge Kindred's arrow , it is another to not partake in their hunt entirely.
Kinded isn't a deity he serves the mask maker mother as a spirit.
Mitna Rachnuun is constantly expanding, Ionia and Shurima haven't been reached yet however it's expanding , he is getting souls constantly even without killing the people himself.
He is a self declared deity he's no celestial being but he is quite a problem , a world end scenario just like the void , Aurelion becoming free or the 10 demon kings becoming free, those being for example Nilah has one of them , Fiddle is one of them , Tybaulk is another one of them(he's inside Annie's bear btw.
Plus kindred is going after those who cheated death , morde didn't cheat it , he accepted it and then rejected it overtaking the world of the dead, kindred would have stopped mordekaiser the first time he came around for example but he cannot be killed , mearly banished.
@@reexar77 Kindred is a Spirit God by Riot's own definition. They are a deity whose power is influenced by faith in them.
Mitna Rachnuun is slowly expanding, but is nowhere as big as you seem to imply. It doesn't 'reach' places like Ionia or Shurima , it's a small pocket dimension the size of MAYBE a Noxian province like Basilich , considering it hosts Mordekaiser's palace and not much else , from written lore.
The only souls that serve under Mordekaiser are A)Souls he personally kills, or B)Souls killed by his servants.
Nothing else , as per Riot themselves.
Self declared deity means absolutely nothing. He holds no power over dead people he himself has not killed(or his servants as mentioned before), he cannot alter reality , nor can he alter time or space. He is, at best, an incredibly successful necromancer. He is a threat because Runeterra still has not found a way to banish Revenants (hell, they even struggle with banishing Wraiths from the Shadow Isles , the Harrowing still mulches deaths every year)
He also is nowhere near a world end scenario, considering his track record of defeats , and Rell being a guaranteed defeat the first time they meet (again, as per Riot themselves in the Rell Q&A). Aurelion Sol could cancel Runeterra from existance, the Primordial Demons could return Runeterra to the Rune Wars period of unbound emotions, magic , and overall carnage , And the Void are also paracausal entities that expand FAR, FAR beyond the reaches of the material plane, the concept of Death, and time and space.
Mordekaiser did indeed cheat death, because the faith he believed in (The Hall of Bones being the Afterlife of his religion) did not have a Grim Reaper or a Sheperd of Souls. This is why Kindred did not claim him on his initial death , nor his second defeat, as that religion was still customary in Noxus / Noxus Prime.
In present time however Noxus worships the Wolf , Demacia honors the Lamb , Ionia worships the Taker (Or Keeper, can't remember what they call them) , Freljord renders tribute unto Wolf , Shurima also has a form for them , and Bilgewater praises Wolf , so anywhere Mordekaiser manifests, Kindred can as well , because those fighting and falling to Mordekaiser believe in them , and Kindred will manifest in that area.
Something that should be pointed out. Mordekaiser has a connection to Annie and quite possibly Zed and his Shadow Order. During one of his reigns, Mord had 2 daemons on a leash that answered his beck n call. One of those daemons Tybaulk (A monster of fire and death) is confirmed to be Tibbers, Annie's toy bear. He also had another daemon that I can't remember the name of that was a Shadow daemon that was known for its ability to multiply itself.
Both were banished but with Tybaulk being Tibbers I would not be surprised if the Shadow daemon is what gives Zed and his Order their powers

Tybaulk, Annie's teddy bear, and Raum, Swain's demon, were the two demons leashed by Mordekaiser and imprisoned by the Black Rose, led by Vladimir in name but in practice Le Blanc leads it. Annie's mother stole Tybaulk for unknown reasons and it bonded willingly to Annie. Swain stole Raum in his coup and made a deal, healing him of his injuries sustained during the Ionian invasion and giving him access to Raum's power for... something.
Shadow magic is unrelated to these champions. Shadow magic is the by-product of shaping magic into positive effects. A negative ichor like sludge forms which can be used to channel shadow magic. Zed and his order initially gained shadow magic from an artefact, called the Shadows tears, that was guarded by the Kinkou order. They then used and produced ichor, to tattoo and ingest, to grow and empower the shadow order. The cinematic with xayah/rakan and Zed show the order corrupting Ionian magic to produce ichor.
@@brunomarques7713 I'm fairly certain Atakhan was the "beast of living shadow" mentioned in The Eyes and the Embers, if only because we know LeBlanc is planning to use one or both of them against Mordekaiser when he comes back. Raum is another demon in the immortal Bastion, but we don't really know when or how it got there.
I unironically believe that the laugh that plays as Mordekaiser's death sound is one of the best voice lines in the game.
His laugh in general is the best line in this whole game (for me).
Fun fact! That "Yeeeeessss..." line is actually when he dies. Although his best death line to me is "A fleeting delay of the inevitable..."
To be honest every one of his death Lines is good "You have earned my attention"

If you're still interested in hearing some of the skin spotlights interactions, I'd recommend using the parts his videos labeled "first encounter" and "kill" since those segments are where the character interacts with specific champions, and sometimes their walking segments include interesting lines. The "first encounters" sections are usually the first ones to come up in the videos and the "kills" are around the middle. These can help give context on top of the general voicelines from the other channel.
About the Black Rose there's also some very cool characters within the cabal like Vladimir the immortal blood mage and Elise the spider cultist. They have some really good not-so-short short stories you might like, though they may be a bit long for a video.
If she is personally interested that is a call she can make. Though we should know she has/ had previously stated her preference for nobodies videos, but perhaps it might be worth looking through afterwards for her.
Though let's be mindful of the reactor's first impression and choices. She's enjoying it and that makes the reaction much better, therefore that's all that really matters for a newbie to league. We can fill her in on extra bits if need be. Or she can look for supplemental material as you have stated or as she did in this video.
You're right, I was just adding that in case she's curious. I can relate to not wanting to go through every voiceline so I usually use that shortcut myself to hear the interesting ones. I hope it didn't come across as demanding.
Considering there is no video like the one she's used to using for the new Udyr (at the time of writing) she could use the ones by Castle of Soma Cruz, a channel here on TH-cam. They segment the lines much like Skin Spotlights but also puts the champion/skin theme in the background.

PROJECT: MORDEKAISER lore is also pretty cool. Basically he is tasked with the protection of humanity but takes it to the extreme and believes the only way humanity can be truly protected is for them to be contained and rule over them.

Mordekaiser isn't being arrogant when he says the gods can't stop him, if he has enough time to keep growing no one will stop him and remembering that he can't be killed since he's only going back to his afterlife realm and plan a new conquest even stronger. Before being ''defeated'' by LB he dominated 2 demons Tybaulk (Tibbers) and Atakhan and it is speculated that even Raum was controlled by Mordekaiser he is really someone who doesn't have empty words.
If you want to do a review of a scary and mysterious champion, Pyke will be a good option. Which has a lore, theme song, and a cinematic introduction to the champion. Good videos by the way.

not top 5 but close, since all aspects are stronger + kindred and aSol at least.

@@josefplacek4200 I don't think his armor is immune to magic? At least Leblanc doesn't think so if her plan was a ferromancer. Its just iron, he isn't bound to petricite steel or anything. I'm not even sure he could bind himself to petricite steel. As for the aspects, it really depends which aspect. The aspect of the twilight forever altered the existence of an entire race, I doubt she couldn't at least severely hinder him. The aspects powers aren't well described though. On another note if Bard decided Morde should stay out of reality I'm not sure if anyone could do anything about it.

Mordekaiser is not the strongest character but he once ruled over the world when he was alive, but he is one of the top 5 strongest characters and he is the "real king" of the dead.

This dude was incredible, he died, left behind a mountain of corpses, was disappointed at the lack of the promised afterlife and said, "I'm now King of the Dead" and proceeds to go back as an undead revenant of Metal to govern both the Dead and the Living
A humble suggestion
You should also react to the interactions of these champions with other champions.
Skin spotlights really highlights these in their videos well. They are imediate and compact.
I like how his quote "Destiny, Domination, Deceit" is basically the ancestor of Swain's current ideology for Noxus being Vision (Destiny), Might (Domination) and Guile (Deceit). I also think that when Mordekaiser returns Swain would be the first of League's Champions to willingly serve him. Cause Swain only wants Noxian rule for the world which Mord can achieve in Runeterra's current state.
idk, Swain is all for "fairness", which is why he is taking power from the Nobles and formed the system with the 3 High generals (Himself, Le Blanc and Darius)

For a little clarity, mordekaiser died legit once. The other time was part of his plan. He basically died a first time, found out the after life wasn't how he thought. Conquered the after life, and found a way to use the souls as basically an energy source to forge/create what he wants, and use it as a power source. Knowing this he forged his kingdom in the after life, and then found a way back into the living world with the plan of just murdering as many people as he could to spread his power, but not how people thought. The goal was to send as many souls into the after life as he could, knowing that he will go back to his kingdom and use the souls. So when le blanc betrayed him, he knew about it and was OK with it. They thought they beat him, but he was just going back to the after life to consolidate all the souls he sent there, so that when he really comes back, it'll be with the forces he planned for.
Also if you want Champs that build the world so that other Champs make more sense, you should do lissandra, soraka, Jax, vel koz, ryze, and azir. That's not all, but it's a good start for a lot of the major events and key terms in league of legends.
To the thing Mordekaiser against Swain... Well let's just say Swain wouldn't stand a second against him. I recomend watching Necrits video on how strong the champs are in the lore. Then you'd see how powerful Morde actually is.

If you click the "collection" button next to the "profile" button on the top right of the client and go to "skins" you can sort out all the skin lines click "show unowned" then when you click on said skins it will appear but with a story....the stories are quite interesting as well I read them whenever I'm waiting for my queue..
He doesnt ''belive'' he is unstoppable. He IS unstoppable. Only his first death as a mortal was not of his own accord, he knew of leblancs betrayal. Also thresh isnt that 'strong', he couldnt hope to defeat viego but mordekaiser is so strong the entire runeterra (world of lol) shits their collective pants for his return.

An interesting way to think of it is that Thresh dabbles in what Mordekaiser controls. Mordekaiser is the end of all life, nearly the god of death, probably only killable at this point by maybe Kindred, Zoey or Aurelion Sol.
If you love the PROJECT skins and are interested in the voicelines, Yi, Ashe, Pyke and Vayne also have unique voicelines. The PROJECT line is my absolute favourite alt universe in League
I'd suggest to maybe watch/react to some videos of necrit as he is probably the most knowledgeble person about League lore outside of Riot.
He has some videos where he is explaining the timeline of Runeterra or Listing the Characters according to their Strength in the lore.

well morderkaiser is one of the most powerful character in league as he basically bend reality and turn death realm into his own... which something that thresh never was in.. since thresh soul got bounded in the isle and there are possibility that the thing that give viego, thresh and other champ in the isle power is coming from mord or at least it's coming from morde death realm

She prefers these more cinematic type videos, they provide a cooler vibe. The downside ofc, being the lack of context for the voice lines.

Ah yes, good ol' mord. He was once a very niche champion in game then they kinda made him kind of bland with his rework which for the most part works fine but other than his ultimate he is not really the mord most ppl fell in love with. His lore is his better half rather than he's gameplay. He went from a metal music fan with very odd abilities to the Tyrant of the Real of Death, all the way losing his pizza feet and the ability to SLAY AND CONTROL THE DRAGON THAT SHOWS UP IN GAME. Also, I'm very glad to see you discovering how this game is much more than what is shown from the Arcane series. Arcane mentioned other regions and showed a little bit of Noxus too, but yeah. The universe is so much more than twink inventors and broken sisterhood. Sadly, some characters both old and new lately got the short end of a stick (looking at you R E D A C T E D.) Some older champs while being shown and mentioned in current events still not having any updates on their bio or lore is kind of saddening.
Yeah im also a fan of a lot of the older, goofier characters. Totally agree the the lore got an upgrade but more just became a bit bland. Hes cool, but he's not cool in a unique kind of way

Power scaling of world end thread dont mean that much since all of them can end the world, so there no point in agrue over which one is better and destroy it: a sinking boat vs a burning boat --> dont matter, it destroyed either way
Idk about Darkin, since they too are nigh immortal. Everything else yeah, I agree. He also cannot beat Kayle and Morgana though. Since they can fight in Petracite cities and destroy them, despite being magic incarnate (because they are half celestial).

Thanks to Legends of Runterra it was established that there are many grim reapers. Kindred is the most powerful out of them all since many people across Runterra believe in it. In similar fashion there should be multiple death realms. It so just happened that Morde got into a death realm meant for atheists? (sorry couldn't think of a better analogy). He is quite powerful with conquering that realm and all but I doubt he's more powerful than an Aspect or a greater demon. As for your question Morde would easily escape Thresh's lantern... if he gets caught in the first place.

Mordekaiser confirms in game when encountering an enemy from the shadow isles that the power that allows them to walk runeterra is merely a fraction of his own power. He could quite literally beat every being from there.
Honestly only a few characters COULD beat him. Zoe, Asol, and the other Aspects would mollywop him, but his army could probably overwhelm them.
Lux's light maybe? It seems like Riot is hyping it up to be this crazy powerful ray of pure light so kinda Morde's anthesis.

You should watch "Champion Name" Special Interactions by skin spotlights, it gives you a lot of context into the interactions of each champion, also you might want to watch the briefing about Morde or other champions by Necrit.

Hii, just wanted to point out - Yeah, the animation seems awkward and unnatural. It's fan made, since Riot basically stopped releasing animated login screens :)
If you're wondering why the animation of Mordekaiser looks "weird" in the quotes video, it's because it's fan-made. Mordekaiser never got a proper animated log in screen.

Mordekaiser is no deamon, he was a warlord that constructed the immortal bastion that later became noxus, he was in his era the equivalent of what Sauron was to middle earth, a ruthless butcher and conqueror that submitted almost all of runeterra, it is said that he died on a mountain of corpses, went to the death realm, saw spirits wandering around with no god that takes care of them, so he himself declared the lord of the afterlife, he is trying to return to the living realm but was trapped and is somewhere in the catacombs beneath the immortal bastion chained
PD when he tried to come back the witches trapped his spirit in his armor, thats why what you see beneath the armor is his spirit not his body
I'm 2 years late to the party, but Mordekaiser is beyond apocaliptic lvl of threat. Riot is making an MMO, and it's generaly accepted that Mordekaiser will be THE final boss, he is by the longshot THE strongest character, with THE strongest army...at least of things that can be fought and have a recognisable face
Note: Mordekaiser build the Immortal bastion in the mortal realm and the never ending fortress in the realm of the dead. He used necromantic magic to bind the souls he and his army killed from fading in the land of the dead and used those said souls as building blocks for the fortress.
Project is not Cyberpunk LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Mordekaiser was designed to protect the city they are in, he became sentient and realized he had to enslave all humans within it so they stop being so decadent ... more like a Pax Romana... Also like his Runaterran omologue, he becomes more powerfull each seconds that happens as he has infected EVERYTHING in the city in a matter or annother.
Mordekaiser is probably one of the most powerful beings in the lore (Outside of ridiculously OP characters like Sol). If he returns to Noxus, God help anyone who gets in his way, because I really don't think Swain (Even with Raum) would stand much of a challenge. If you asked me who would win in a fight, Aatrox or Mord, I really don't think I could answer. Pantheon and other Aspects are probably all pretty close in power but honestly Mord might be stronger? The issue is that Mord has been out of the setting before many of these champions existed so it's hard to say. The Black Rose and Le Blanc know of and actively contain Mordekaiser's existence under Noxus but it's a ticking time bomb. IIRC its why they invade so much, the ground is tainted with the essence of death and it prevents crop yield. I think if Mordekaiser was released, he'd overthrow Swain and LeBlanc's combined might rather easily.

Canonically, Mordekaiser is pretty much the be all end all of threats to Runeterra besides the actual void, the Darkin and Aurelion Sol if he ever decided he didn't like mortals enough. Swain would have pretty much no way of killing him if he came back, and Thresh uses what is essentially an incomplete version of Mordekiaser's magic. So I don't see those fights going very well for them 😅
Im just gonna say this now. All who die in Noxus, end up in Mordekaiser's realm. He wants to push this realm beyond Noxus to cover the world. However, Kindred would have to get involved at that point.

I want a project skin line series so bad the potential is there for riot to make some kind of series out of their best ongoing skin lines. i cant be the only one. id say closest we got was the project yi skin cinematic and i think there were one for project vi/vayne/jhin i think... but the yi one was fucking what i need more of. the story and universe next to league would be a missed chance to go bigger.. Like a "multiverse" kind of thing a what if series/show. again might never happen but fk me it would be beyond awesome.
A bit like love death and + robots. short but amazing small episodes in different skin lines "universes/what if's" and jump around in the worlds and back and forward in different peoples story in that skin line and then mby return to characters we have seen and continue their story in that universe or another or another character in that universe.

Mordekaiser doesnt only believe he is really powerfull he IS this powerfull, hes basically the strongest besides Aurelion Sol and Kindred but they dont care what happens ob runeterra so... he basically cant be beaten if he gets out of his realm

Thresh is like a baby compared to mordekaiser. Thresh traps souls that come to him sure, but mord is the king of the entire afterlife. Even viego was beneath mords notice.

Everitime he dies he beecomes more powerful and if you die you make him stronger cause he woud harvest you. He is the only one that could master the death realm so if you die you naturally falls under his grasp and there is no escape. Fitting for the emperor of death
