Can they make a launch happen in less than a month? What do you think?
Bros please get a dentist visit for your lowr teeth and save them
yes put all your personal financial information in a service so hackers can get it and millions of others with minimal effort because its better to be lazy instead of safe
It's happening......what we all dreamed about space flight!!!!
TBH: the blue glow lighting up the ocean while ship landing is out of this world...... 1:02
How has technology become so advanced??? Like...... whatttt?????
@@Ilikespace-rs6pl when unbelievable things like this happens is most often a result of good leadership
It's absolutely amazing! We've all been crossing our fingers for years, and now it seems all those crazy things that could happen with a functional Starship will happen!!!
@@Whataboutit can't wait for the ship catch. And the booster waiting for a rapid reuse
@@Whataboutit yes sir, it's like a dream......
Pravda … for Apollo they worked with Playtex to design and sew the lunar landing suits, so it’s not unprecedented.
The Starship landing wasn't an RUD, it was a RSD: Rapid Scheduled Disassembly. We knew it was going to destroy itself on landing. ☺
we don't know if it self-destructed or if it was the FTS. i would guess the latter after all you wouldn't want to just throw explosives somewhere in the ocean
Well it was a Mach landing. Without a solid surface or pad you can't really land 😅
💯 Exactly
One engine brought it to a “still stand”. That one made me laugh
Every new upload is exciting
Thank you very much!
Landing starship in ocean 5000m/16000ft deep was delibate to prevent the tech falling in wrong hands.. IMO
I would guarantee it could be recovered
yeah that is why they terminated it after it splashed down
Cant let those Chinese get their commie hands on it
Moon walkie , let’s go!
Thanks Felix!
You sir rock!
Can't wait to see pad B completed
SpaceX is really awesome! I'm also looking forward to the new space stations.
To bad it's owner has turned out to be a complete pile of 💩
So its not just the devil who wears Prada..i liked that little quip 😂
yep that was good
Felix: it comes to a stand still... Not still stand @ 2:03...
Just a oops... 😂😂😂
:D Noted! German word would be Stillstand. No joke.
Thanks guys! Love these videos!
W upload thats bouta carry class!!! Thanks Felix!!!!
It's go time light that candle
Let's do it!!!
9:10 - shorter catch arms can move faster and have less of tendency to swing back and forth when moved quickly, because they are lighter. Thats why they probably want to get them as short as possible.
Not to forget leverage. Ten pounds ten feet away is much easier to move than ten pounds twenty feet away.
1:44
Like an avatar scene, but more epic🔥
Try NOT to have a hurricane this time, eh Felix?? We have a spot saved for you and the crew at Raptor Roost!
I'll try my BEST!!!
As a kid in the '70s we grew up with moon boots because they were really light and comfortable and gave you extra height. I just saw in your video my first glance at axiom space Moon Boots. I want to pair at Walmart by Christmas.
They should use Corten steel for the legs so they don't need to paint them each time
The new mount won't have legs. That entire "stool" design looked wonky to me from the beginning.
@@Whataboutit still good idea to use it for the ring plating. It is completely rust-proof because it's already rusted as far as it will go
I would make a two post landing tower so that the SH and SS could land strait down away from the launch tower components. That would save precious fuel and keep the tower itself safe. At this point you could probably add a second post near each of the landing towers and use catching arms between the tower and post. SX has proven they can move the "rockets" with ease. Never know, that may be what they're constructing right now.
“Shorten these two”… You want to give more pressure on my heart?
I see what you did there with the "Seems not just the Devil wears Prada" pun. 🤣
i love to see your videos rotate "Are they serious" "Go for launch" "its getting ready"
Less than a month turnaround time, dope
That would be a huge step forward! This will increase much more once the new pad is live! Updated Pad for updated Starships!
Just remember the big hurdle the FAA
@@timreed353 If they don't change the flight plan faa won't do anything prob
Love the Easter egg @ 04:50 lol.🤣🤣🤣😆😎
I forget English isn't your first language until you mess up. Lol. 2:03 "...still stand." It's, bring it to a standstill. No need to thank me, you are most welcome;-)
Great channel.
For me it seems they put the connection (Booster Quick Disconect) on the wrong side of the tower. If it would be on the other, there would be probably less damage every time they lauch
Could they use multiple starships in orbit and link them to make a space station?
That was fast.
Best video ever❤
AMONGUS SKİBİDİ TOILET
3:14 You incorrectly marked thanksgiving it’s that last Thursday of November
Didn't see the HSR on the deck of HOS Ridgewind when it docked at Port Isabel, I think they just looked at it to check it is not a danger to shipping. Hope they leave it as an artificial reef.
EDIT: it went out 3am and is currently fishing for it, can see it on a live camera.
I'm gutted I'm 55 years old and will probably miss my star trek dreams of living on other planets, if they do colonise Mars I wonder what sort of people they would need , cleaners, plumbers, electricians, builders , ? How cool would that be being a sparky on another planet 😊
A still stand. I like that better than standstill.
they could cover the launch platfrom with stainless steel and put asbestos behind that for rust control
If they launch on the 11th I won't be able to watch live but I may be able to see it from a cruise ship in the gulf. If my timing is right we will be pretty close to the notmar restriction zone.
Let's change back to NOTAM
Once Prada finally finishes the design. Then if they were to put it on a child's Halloween costume at a practically lost basis. They would flood the market with their new axiom space suit which has got to be good for advertising. The old type that hang on a hanger have a big giant picture of what a spaceman looks like in an axiom suit and then you have the axiom suit hug and plastic under it. Something quality that they have to keep for a while.
If you want to retrieve a ship from the sea floor, you need to do it in the Waddenzee or the Sea of Azov.
Sea of Azov is gonna be challenging, and Waddenzee is nearly impossible with dutch bureaucracy, unless you do a quid pro quo.
Can we see the result of the hole blown in the Ozone layer as the Rocket exits and re-enters 😊
1:07 Oh, it burns just like a gas stove.
16:16 I assume that they are figuring out about what would happen if just one leg hit a soft spot and tilted it too much.
I have very good news…I FINALLY BECAME A MEMBER!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🔥🔥🔥🔥 So how can I communicate with you guys
One thing for sure. I don't think we'll be buying knockoff Prada space suits down in the garment district. Mainly because New York is well under.
Liked and subscribed here...
Thank you!!!
Wonder if it would be possible to cover the OLM legs with the material used for the Heat shield tiles, or if it is just too violent for the ceramics to survive. Maybe when the booster and OLM reaches it final form, they'll do something like that.
Actually it was a RED = Rapid Expected Disassembly - too hot to plunge those thin tanks into cold water
SpaceX needs to put a real shield all over the booster quick disconnect mechanism; like a thick metal case all around another case, which inside contains all the pipes and instruments. That's right, a double layer protection. I would even go to start a flush of C02 inside the case as the booster ignites, just to push away any flames that could get inside; the CO2 would hinder the combustion of materials while keeping it cooler. I think the investment is worth it, time is money for SpaceX.
Axiom makes some ridiculously costly spacesuits for the privileged few who can afford these exorbitant prices, like their space station, so a Prada label on them is a pretty good fit. SpaceX is building suits for the many, the common people who will explore and settle the solar system and expand humanity to the stars!
Dropping all of these Raptor engines in reach of China can’t be a good idea. They are the copying kings.
Interesting thought
Don’t worry, they’ve already stolen the blueprints using cyber hacking.
Ha instead of constantly repainting the areas that get scorched by the booster , why don't they just use the Heat shield tiles
Will you do a side by side budget and project management of NASA, SpaceX, and even some other big players.
Any news about the oil rigs?
Nope. Nothing at this point.
If spacex would put the booster fuelling connection on the opposite side at the launch ring it wouldnt get blasted and damaged ever time.
How will they fix the nozzles from changing shape?
02:05 "Standstill", one word, not "still stand"
Thanks for the feedback!
2:15 As shown in the bottom right corner the Video is not from NSF!
13:15 According to NSF the new launch mount will hot have Raptor quick disconnects.
Lucas Lacy gave the footage to NSF
Is there anything that can be done to the launch mount so that painting it every time isn’t needed? How will they be able to fix that issue?
Top
YEEHAW
16k deep huh. So that starship is down with the Titanic. Wouldn't that be cool if they actually were close by.
Sorry there targeting launch 6 for 11th November?
SpaceX is better at fashion than Prada.
How do they plan on launching several times a day if they have to repaint it between launches
Anyone else see the safe fish lol
They need to make the rockets hover for 1-2 extra seconds before the catch event.
More dramatic, visually more stunning and palatable, n far lower chance for mishap with the mechazilla
Why is the launch mount such a tight ring. If they increase the diameter by like 3-4 meters and the clamps just making up the rest to clamp in on the rocket. The flames from exhaust might not damage the stage 0 so much
Structural stress.
I wonder if NASA will allow a live feed via Starlink showing the de-orbit and reentry burnup of ISS. That would be a spectacular show, and an irreproducible source of engineering data!
"Galleries," not "gallaries".
Safe fish was an upgrade?? 😅
Is it 2000 degree high temperature paint
Does SpaceX get the parts out of the sea so that no competitor can do that? I guess they would love to get their hands on a Raptor booster. I do not know how much of SpaceX hardware is protected by patents.
As for the hot staging ring: was it planned to come down this near to the coast?
Couldn't they cover the launch mount in starship heat tiles? Would they survive the forces of the booster?
No
Not first comment but man i'm addicted to this content
Ok
Although it would be expensive, I do wonder if it would be better to plate the launch mount with titanium or tungsten...
The price makes it off the table
tungsten impossible, titanium... yeah that would cost way, way too much
can't they use the heat shield tiles for the launch tower too, if not completely at least for critical points
No
You need to fix your cranberry sauce.
Hi! Could anyone send me the link to the buoy perspective landing video please? Thanks.
Is it possible for SpaceX to install the heat tiles on the launch pad? I would think this would address many concerns and could be used to stress test the tiles at the same time.
No
Where does the cargo go in starship? The entire booster is fuel but don’t understand how the ship is configured. Is it like the shuttle with its bay?
the nosecone is all payload space except for the space taken up by the header tanks
The whole plan is dought about.
Is there any reasons not to, or would it even help, to cover the launch mount in heat tiles?
Reentry has 0.5 bar or less. Engine exhaust are ~15 bar. It would make the situation worse
@@alvianchoiriapriliansyah9882
Thanks for that.
Why not use same material from heat shield tiles to cover launch pad?
Reentry is 0.5 bar. Engine exhaust are ~15 bar
Hey Felix, few years ago you were doing videos criticising Elon and Tesla.. right? What happened now?
Is their any speculation for refurbishing booster 12 for IFT-7?
B12 is unlikely to fly again
Yay rapid re-use just like Falcon 9! Which come to think of it, is not rapid re-use :| I guess we gotta throw a few more billion at the mono rai.. i mean falcon 9 ohps i mean the lunar land OHPS. And we have'nt even gottan to starship yet. Extremely sad trombone.
Well maybe not sell them at Walmart. They are product after all. Prada.
Does the physics work to launch a ship from Boca Chica and land the booster in Florida??
No
Starship maybe suffered from "splashback" ;) btw saying boooooeeeee it's just "boy" like you'd say buoyant - you don't say boooooooooooooeeeeeeeant
Thanks for the feedback!
e
Funny, that's not how I've ever heard it pronounced.
It def doesn't take that long to say but it does sound booee, and booyant.
Hypocritical. 🫤
Couldn't space x put heat shielding as a layer of protection on the launch mount? They won't heat up too quickly as engine fire and probably protect the metal from rust from the water system?????
Not compatible, doesn't work
@@ghostly1178 And they would shatter in an instant from the shockwaves produced....
What are the reasons for why heat shielding tiles aren’t used on the OLM?
They are brittle and would be instantly blown a mile away becoming shrapnel.
As they are currently designed to be used on Starship, I agree. However, the material seems the important element. Specifically, that the material can withstand the extreme and sustained heat of re-entry would suggest that the material can withstand the conditions from a take-off and catch as both are of a far lessor exposure time.
Lastly, do you (or anyone) know what the temperatures are for the launch on the OLM as compared to the heat plasma of re-entry? @Whataboutit Do you know? Thanks in advance.
The probably just recovered the engines so that bezos didn't fish them out.
Of course they are "designer spacesuits" how can you have a suit that wasn't designed?
Still trying to stick to the whole "we've walked on the moon before" ideology, huh.
😮
Commie goons from CCP can’t wait to fish those raptor engines out of the Pacific Ocean. I am pretty sure already downloaded the latest version of the design.
What is the Big deal ??
Its “Just Maths” 🤷🏼♂️🤔
😂😂 SAFE FISH 😂😂
