I was in Monaco for 5 days on Congress in September 2021, short time before yacht show. It was beautiful, pretty full of people, but I felt very safe. I have to tell, the people were very kind and polite to me. Difficult to say, if it was tourists or settled down or monegasques. Honestly, one day of stay in Monaco wouldn ´ t be enough to see everything what it offers, and to really feel its atmosphere slight deeply. But may be to live there for a longer period of time would be boring.
Did you go there in the summer? lots of tourist go there so maybe the people you meet were not locals. When I was there it was winter and it was VERY quiet. I think most people were locals and although they were not necessarily rude they were not friendly and were pretty cold. 2 police officers threatened me to fine me for not wearing a face mask in public (i was alone in a park with not a single person in sight) maybe things changed because of covid.
@@IsraelPlata yes, with the masks they were very strict, but only in the centre of Monte Carlo (they say - by any small violation in general is the police there very strict)

I loved Monaco but you are absolutely 100% correct about walking around there, I went twice and got lost both times walking around lol! I do have to go back though!

I have never been there but i would love to visit - maybe even during F1 competition which i believe is in May ,but you were there in December i think and the atmosphere is different. There must be more tourists and party atmosphere during the warmer months - especially by the beaches and harbour. The French pastries are definitely superior top-class !!! Thanks for showing so much including the amazing casino in this big money city !!!
Your deserts were topped with GOLD LEAF and SILVER LEAF.. Yep,,,... It is real gold and silver... (You can buy them in ""book form"".. Total indulgence... I can smell the butter in those pastry shops.. Great video..

It’s definitely a beautiful place, but getting lost a lot would not be fun as a tourist. When you said ppl were not friendly, was it because you were not local? Did they ignore you or have attitudes? I don’t know if I want to visit if I have to stress getting lost or encounter unfriendly ppl. It seems too much work to visit for a day trip when I primarily want to do more in Paris.

I don't get why anyone would actually want to live/visit there. The whole thing feels like a shop and has no charm at all. I can see a diehard F1 fan going there for an F1 race maybe, but that's about it.
@@IsraelPlata Hi Israel, That's cool, I'm a retired American living here in Cuernavaca for many years. I want to visit the French Riviera and Costa del Sol Spain soon. I think Nice, Marbella, and Malaga would be great if I could live there part of the year.
