Hey brother. I was wondering if you can some how make a video or even get in touch with the people working on AutoBleem and Retro to see if someone can come out with a "zip file cheat pack/gameshark" for it. I have one TB on the PS Classic, and it would take me 100 years to download every single cheat individually. If someone has a compile zip file for all the cheats, it would make it so much easier to download copy and paste over, or if they can add the gameshark software to auto bleem then we can input the code manually. Thanks in advance.
I bleemed mine when it first came out, this video made me want to go back and re-do it. Was looking for a pure PS build, this might work if I can hide all the other systems
I had to buy another console the other one that had the mod on it it broke luckily I went out and bought a new one yesterday and I’m glad to have my system back. Thanks again for helping me with your videos.
You can use up to a 2TB external HDD for storage. The PSC does NOT support all manufacturers' hdds, so use Western Digital drives. Format as MBR/EXFat & connect via OTG with a sufficiently capable power brick. Unfortunately, GPT/NTFS formats are NOT supported by the PSC 👎. If you buy a new drive, you'll need to format it as WD uses the GPT format, stock which won't recognize.
i got mine ps classic awhile back at walmart for $19.99 i should have bought a couple of them i also a 1tb hard drive with autobleem the complete collection of PS1
The installer didn't pop up when it loaded into Auto Bleem when trying to install. I'd previously used a different hack so all the new thing is blank/invisible and says "Custom Game"
How are you externally powering that USB? I bought the same one you have linked. There are four USB 3.1 links and then a usb plug leaving the side. There is no power port
The PlayStation Classic got a lot of hate when released and I can see why! Despite its flaws, I still think it’s okay as a quick and easy way into its included games! I mainly didn’t get one as I own original copies of most of its games, some on other systems! (Toshinden on Saturn, Mr. Driller on Dreamcast, Rayman on GBA) I first played a PlayStation Classic at a bar in 2019, which had it and some other consoles, including a knockoff SNES mini, set up until COVID came! In more recent months, I’ve been playing PlayStation Classic at a gaming café near the library I volunteer at! In May, I participated in a special needs gaming afternoon at this gaming café where we also each got a turn on Beatsaber (American Idiot was one of the songs on there, so while playing, I sang Canadian Idiot!) and 2 slices of Domino’s Pizza! Shame none of the other participants of that session were retro fans like me…
Just incase you didn't want to download any programs to format your drive to FAT32. I tried using easeUS for several different reasons and the prompt for the subscribtion kept popping up and was just annoying. Click on the Windows button in the bottom left and type in *create and format hard disk partitions* then press enter. Find your usb drive which you connected to your computer, right click on it and delete the volume. Then it'll still display the drive but say unallocated storage, right click it then click new volume. press next on the screen that pops up and when it gives you the option for how much storage is on the drive type in *32,000*. click next then assign the drive to whichever letter you like. Click next then youll have a drop down option called file system. Select the FAT32 option and click format.
I'm new to console modding and I didn't quite understand something, maybe there's someone in the community who could tell me briefly what is the best ERIS project or Autobleem?
Thank you for doing this video! I have one question, I have the Project Eris kernel on my PS classic. Do I really need to swap to the Autobleem kernel or will the Magnus RC build work with the Project Eris kernel? I would like to keep my Project Eris build on one USB drive and have the Magnus RC build on another drive. I would like to be able to switch between the two. I would greatly appreciate any help with this!
It's best to revert to stock kernel, then use the AutoBleem kernel instead. You can't run both kernels. Check out the kernel readme file for more info.
That's so weird I just dug out my PS classic just to load some extra games I ended up finding at a bargain bin at a vintage stock and now all these updates are coming out about the little thing everything went silent whenever I put it up 😄
I have problem when I plug my PSClassic in power it won't show the orange light and doesn't turn on and the power button section start heating why???? and is there a fix to it?
Hi bro, I just bought a PlayStation Classic today and I'm looking for a solution to get my USB Flash to work on it to Jailbreak it. But how did you managed to power that Anker USB hub. The one on amazon doesn't have any power slots on it.
Can't install the Autobleem kernal on my Playstation Classic... it tells me that the system isn't stock, and all efforts to return it to stock have failed. On the other hand, I can make Autobleem work on my PSC using a thumb drive, and it seems like you would need one for this hack regardless.
Why doesn’t it boot directly into ES? Was this a choice you made for your setup or do we have to open ES every time we want to see the nice looking front end?
Have you seen the Atari 2600 usb fight stick from micro center? Looks really cool and hear some good thing about it. I wonder if it will work on psx classic though. That or the switch, which I doubt it works on, would be the only thing I have to use it on.
my psc has stopped powering on recently. the power button does not light up anymore. what could it be? how to fix that? I was able to power it on at first two times when this issue happened with plugging and unplugging the power cord several times, but now it does work anymore. can I still get it back to life?
What would one do if they followed the bleemcast kernal to run autobleem? Just update a previous autobleem setup similar to your updated to .7 video with simply replacing the files? Seems like 1.0 has more going on, with kernals to install.
So is it possible to do the Player 2 port thing and not have AutoBleem be permanent? (Like I can take the stuff out and reset it up like normal and it'll work as normal?)
A few years back i ordered a preloaded usb thumb drive with bleemsync on it from ebay. when i take it out it goes back to the stocked ps classic. now, do i still have to uninstall it? Im going to follow your video with a new thumbdrive and the otg. my second question is if i do the magnus pack would i still be able to add more games to the pack?
I am having a problem with finding the build to download. I was on your FB page and still can't find the thing. Can you please help me out? I even tried to follow the link that you briefly showed in this video but i can't really see the whole thing. Thanks
I updated Autobleem on my classic from an older build (circa 2018, not sure the exact version) to 1.0. I never got the otg support to work previously. Is it possible to flash the kernel to add otg support after I've already updated Autobleem?
I've been using project eris. Like it so far. Is there a way to have the non ps1 games[neogeo] appear on the carousel screen and just launch them that way?
Please someone. I really need the part of the video where you show where and how to transfer the Magnus RC files. Do you unzip them first? Where to? Someone please help I am so freaking frustrated
I cant find the instructions anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do they not have a full guide on the main site I got it from? Just says put the files on usb drive. They are RAR files and a ton of them. Do I unzip them all? Place them zipped?
I noticed with Emulation Station that its control buttons are for an XBox controller, e.g. AB, XY. Is there a way to reconfigure this to use the Playstation symbols instead?
Nope, if you already flashed the kernel you do t have to again. If you do flash it again nothing bad should happen, ive done it numerous times on the same device to demonstrate the process.
Years ago I installed Autobleem 0.5.1 and set up OTG support. Do I need to reflash the kernel with version 1.0.0 to get all the new features or just plug it in on my thumb drive?
I found it odd the other day when trying to use a usb 2.0 256GB. It just wouldnt work and its the same model as my 128GB. Guess I need the OTG setup for that.
Without knowing your setup or what you have done Id imagine the 256gb drive isnt in FAT32? If you havent flashed the kernel to get support for other drive formats it wont work without first reformatting the drive. But if thats not the issue the PS Classic can be picky with USB drives, even when some work from the same manufacturer. So the problem could be power draw... using a powered usb hub for the kernel install should rectify that and allow the usb drive to be used via the back power port via a otg cable. The other thing people were doing before, which I am sure I did a video on before we had otg support was power modding the Player 2 port to make sure drives could work... but I really advise just doing the kernel install to use otg over that.
Im not sure if you can have it boot rite into it without doing anything, but pressing square after the system boots up each time will launch into EmulationStation without having to goto the apps.
Allows support for OTG, RNDIS, easy WiFI setup and auto connect on boot, Ethernet , NTFS and exFat, and Bluetooth support. The main thing important you get from installing the kernel is OTG in my opinion, but everything else can be beneficial as well depending on how you want to use things.
Hey how do I have to put the files for multiple disc games in the game file do all the discs go in the same folder or do the each have their own folder and it'll recognize that when you press the open button to switch?
Can you do this using a phone and the right adapters.I've hacked alot of systems by using my phone, because my old computer took a crap and I never replaced it.ended up getting the new Xbox..
I couldnt tell you for sure as I have never attempted this... but if you can transfer files to a usb drive via your phone then i dont see why not as no processes need to run on a PC to do this hack. Just have to make sure the drive is fat 32 to install the kernel... you can leave the drive at fat32 if you want, but this allows you to use bigger drives without having to worry about formatting them to fat32.
