You know the more I think about it the more I think this is a ridiculous installation. They should've gone with Schindler 7000 lifts. 5500 MRL (is it MRL?) for this height is a bit stupid. It is also quite slow imo.

I totally agree. 3m/s is pretty slow for a ~135m tall building. A ride all the way from top to bottom takes 50 seconds!
They should have gone at least for a 5m/s Schindler 7000. This would reduce travel time down to ~34sec
for an mrl is quite fast, if u want faster elevators, go for a machine room based one

I thought 5500s went up to a maximum of 33 floors.
Only North American version, European version goes up to a maximum of 50 floors. Either comes in MRL or mini machine room.

MRLs should not go this high (yet). This is way too slow for 40 floors. It should go 6 m/s.
5500 comes in either MRL or mini machine room. I've been on 5500 mini machine room. Unfortunately 5500 goes maximum speed of 3 m/s.
These lifts are already plenty fast for a residential building.

Yep, you can see the logic cabinet on the top floor near the doors, though the MRLs may have the proper motor rather then the low rise type motor since I don't think the low rise 3300 motor can cope with the floors and forces of the wind and lift.
