I don't normally comment on videos but i visited Penang in 2017 and by some miracle I found Son & Dad whilst wandering the streets. Hands down one of the best haircut experiences I've had worldwide and one I still talk about regularly. I'm almost considering flying back to Malaysia just for a haircut with these dons.

Great video. It’s totally not what I was expecting from a Malaysian barbershop. The barber and shop seemed to have a very “western” aesthetic, in-line with the likes of Sweeny. The younger barbers seem to be taking the influence of the older generation, but have found a way of incorporating more luxuries and modern sensibilities into what they do
A great job done by the barber. Not only did he do a very good shaving job but he also trimmed the hair and made it neater. Very polite and professional as well!
The great thing about these videos is seeing how barbers in different countries carry on their crafts, especially the old timers. They all have their own style and quirks.

Back after 2 years. I was wondering around Georgetown. Rain was starting to fall. Walked in without an appointment and had a nice hot towel shave. Great to be back and actually meet Elyas featured in the video. Hope to be back soon.
I really dislike a barber who tries to engage me in conversation by asking a bunch silly questions pretending they are interested in me. I'd rather they focus on the haircut and allow me to enjoy the experience. This a wonderful experience.
This video freaks me out, for the simple reason that I was in Georgetown just a couple of days before you posted this video and noticed this exact barbershop and thought it looked like the kind of place you would frequent. Sadly it was closed at that time so I couldn't visit myself.
@@HairCutHarry It was in fact my first ever and I've been chasing the dragon ever since. No shave cream, just water and a brand new blade and a ton of skill in Little India, George Town.

One of the best shavers, I totally respect it when Harry goes for a barber for a shave and still the barber fixes his hair after the shave.
