- Flaco Jimenez and Santiago Jimenez performing together for the 1st time in 32 years at the 2012 Tejano Conjunto Festival in San Antonio, Texas. Max Baca from Los Texmaniacs is also performing on bajo sexto.
Never in a thousand years shall we see this pair of accordion players again. True magic! Whenever they go to Bavaria to play for the Germans, the home of Hohner accordions, they are impressed by their enormous talent.

I was one on the lucky ones that was able to be there and watch that live. Great video. For those that do not know up to this day they played at the conjunto fest Santiago and flaco had not played together in roughly 30 years. I remember the week up to that day my buddy Santiago was so exited to be playing with his brother. I took him to Penners to buy that shirt week of. That was a great day for them to reunite after all those years and bless us with that great sound together. Family singing together is an instrument that can't be bought. That is my accordion Santiago is playing in the video and I have it in the case till the day the Smithsonian calls me to display it next to flacos. Im lucky to be friends with both of them.

Pure magic. These two get down on the accordion. My dad also a musician both on accordion and bajo, what a blessing to grow up traveling with dad and watch the band play gigs and the best part was the dancing. Viva el tex mex!

These two brothers are truly the "Kings of the Accordian Music" in "South Texas". I was extremely fortunate to listen to this unique accordion sound in 1960 when I was stationed at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station and since it was very unique to me because I grew up listening to 'New Mexican' music.
