    The way he says, "I am Sally Jackson's son" is so sweet and shows how the mortal parents are pushed to the side. The only glory they get is that they gave birth to a hero.

    What I love of this adaptation is that it shows Poseidon's perspective. How difficult it is to watch your child struggle to survive, be angry at you because you can't be there for him. It makes gods more human and I love it.

    I'll admit I love the addition of Sally's line "I want him to know who he is before your family tries to tell him who they want him to be" because not only does it explain why she hesitates to send percy to camp but poseidon is there willing to listen because he knows that no one else could possibly understand or even believe her

      It's not bad, but it could be better. I have faith it can get better with time just like the Harry Potter movies did

      @@reneejett6509still looks better than "The Last Airbender" adaptation. I know it doesn't have to be a retelling, but characters there just lose their original spirit, and the story loses some of the emotional weight the original had.

      I didn't see it yet (and didn't read the books), but it looks so much better than the movie.

      It just doesn’t have the same feel of the books; even the movies have this sense of humour and happiness but the show made them act like they weren’t even children and the scenes that were supposed to be deep didn’t have as big of an impact bc of that. The characters were a bit out of character (In MY opinion but I can’t rly complain bc the author wrote it so mine doesn’t rly matter in that way). Also, everything felt VERY rushed.. not only the overall pacing but even the simpler things, like Annabeth and Percy wouldn’t be at this level of comfort w each other yet. My personal favourite thing about Percy Jackson was the rage that I could relate to from him but I just rly didn’t feel it and the other thing I was rly looking forward to was Poseidon. I watched every episode the SECOND it came out hoping for it to get better. It never did (for me), and I had to tell myself, there’s NO way they could POSSIBLY mess up a Percy and Poseidon moment. I HATED what they did to it. Anyways, the show could be catagorized as good to some ppl, and even to me! But I just can’t possibly wrap my head around it being Percy Jackson, you know? I rewatched the movie (only the first) and it genuinely pleased me more than the show. I guess it just wasn’t for everyone! I’ll still with my books haha 🥲

    Rick Riordan had more say in how his books were presented unlike in the movies. He handpicked each actor based on how they portrayed their respective character. I'm so glad they listened to him and didn't just change everything to suit what they thought was better. I'm glad they changed Hermes and Poseidon though, making them appear more different than the myths

    It's been literal millenia, and some of the stories surrounding him were written during a stage in which Homer was feeling angry at the Pantheon. Not to mention, humans evolved and aren't as submissive as they used to.
    It seems the change caught on to Poseindon.

    Am i the only one that loves the relationship between Percy and Poseidon? I think they have the best relationship between a child and a parent amongst the demigods. Tell me your opinions.

    • @aishahamma334

      There is not much good between thire relationship with his father .His father has ignored him for his 11 years of his life even though he had always needed a father. But the moment he gets in trouble he decides to claim percy. So he can go and fix his(Poseidon) problem. Even though percy is still a child. The only reason he claimed him is because he has a problem . I have always supported Luke about his thoughts on the gods. He is right about them

    • @MagdaliniGVasilaki
      @MagdaliniGVasilaki 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @aishahamma334 I don't believe he could do otherwise. If anyone found out Percy would have been in danger. And yeah, he did claim him during a really dangerous time but Percy was already growing older and the monsters were starting to chase him, at that point it was the time he had to find out.

    I actually thought Sally was just one more of Poseindon's victims (not rape, just like a toxic relationship).
    I liked that episode of the amusement park for showing us despite her love for Poseindon, she was still smarter than that. Because the truth is, humans aren't the lambs they used to be. They actually dare to call the gods out. Make them reflect.
    But the sea is getting polluted too by us. Is he mellowing down in his old age out of fear or respect ?

      I'll always remember the scene in the Civil War comics aftermath where Tony and Thor get into a fight , the bases of this was that Asgard was floating on top of one of the US states and Tony was sent at the behest of the US to submit Asgard. The short story was that Tony did something wrong to Thor, and Thor wasn't happy, Thor wiped the floor with Tony and then threatened Tony that he would teach the US a lesson if they attacked Asgard, storms, floods, etc. Thor showed the difference between a God and a mortal. Humans are lambs. It's just we grew arrogant and full of hubris to think otherwise.

      @@krishkrish8213 I do agree we grew too arrogant. But shouldn't they be held accountable for some things too ?

    • @krishkrish8213
      @krishkrish8213 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @JabamiLain How do you make a God accountable? Maybe Zues, the king of the gods can, but us mortals. How do you even put someone who controls the very aspects of human existence or aspects of creation or the world accountable. Do you write an angry letter and post it to Mount Olympus? Do you pray to Zues and ask him to act on your behalf. When you die and you go to the underworld, do you say it?

    • @JabamiLain
      @JabamiLain 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@krishkrish8213 find the right demon to bargain with, and hide yourself during the civil war you cause between them. Or find another deity who's displeased too. In Greek mythology, Zeus was almost taken down from his throne by his fellow gods. By cunning. And finally, we have the demigods, who, occasionally, are known for ascending to Godhood.
      There are always disagreements, even in the divine sphere. And the ecossystem has methods themselves to counter the deities. There must always be methods of rebellion to counter the power.

      @@JabamiLain Think of the gods fury that they would u leash upon all of humanity, think about when you die and you go to the underworld and Hades the ruler of the underworld and Zues king of the gods send you to darkest pits of the underworld to suffer for all eternity. Also to note Zues was the strongest of the Gods.

    Great edit!!!!
    I love Percy and Sally but the rest of the cast is so Cringe
    children actors for me have to be REALLY good and to have that much of a drastic change in casting, sorry but they're just not that good
    **JUST AN OPINION. They got Annabeth wrong in the first one, and they still got Annabeth wrong. To do an entire remake to be more "accurate" and then do this just doesnt make sense in my OPINION.
    Hate away. I wont respond.
    (Leah Davis is great along with the young man playing Grover but they just don't scream demigods or Percy Jackson.. If you didnt tell me that girl was Annabeth, I'd have no clue who she is)
