    Nice Vulture, I have been thinking of trying this out. I’m sure a good PvP pilot could make good use of this ship. Deflection shooting would be a must. One of these in every combat wing would be so cool.

      Yeah not needing ammo is a nice bonus. Just like everything Vulture related, though, gets a little stale.

    Inertial impact bursts sure Are Fun! Was also my first experimental build I think, thought they were pretty OP at the time. I used them as gimballed on Chieftain tho. Sure Is interesting seeing someone try them as fixed, most people would just use cytos instead of that. But true, one would need to have some way to apply corrosion effect in order for those to be effective as the only weapons and that's not really am option with Vulture. Nice vid 😁👍

    I use a shieldless FAS with alpha damage weapons. I could use a chieftain, but I like the FAS more for some reason. 2 PAs and frag cannons is what I do normally. It's

    That's okay build here, but frankly the PERFECT CHAD VULTURE build will use 2 x Advanced Plasma Accelerators engineered with Efficient or Rapidfire. It really is a match made in heaven for Vulture's gun layout. Powerful punch, quick fire rate (for PA type weapon), works equally well vs shields and hull. But it also cranks up skill dependency through the roof, so you gotta work on that.
    Either way, try it, i'm sure you will fall in love with that.

    I did a focused (wanted increased piercing value) grade 5 with inertial impact. Love my vulture

      Yeah I've tried exactly the same thing but with focussed but I've found that the damage increase from short range is greater than the damage decrease from lower piercing. Short range ends up being slightly better regardless even against a Type 10.

    I'm a big fan of long range beams. Precise like a scalpel. So the first time I tried inertial impact bursts, I couldn't help but gag. They're great if you can stay close to the target, but boy can't I.

      I find beams are just kinda crap, DPS is meh, heat is ugh, distro draw sucks. If you’re gonna put lasers on a ship it better be burst or pulse.

      @@nyxzorander Agree. I also don't like really using ammo against shields. Cytos usually do the trick for me ...that or reverbs and/or fletchettes.

      @@nyxzorander thermal vent ftw. Plus, in terms of raw numbers, beams have the highest DPS. The problem is distributor draw, which is pretty easy to mitigate with a weapon focused or charge enhanced distributor and super conduits. I think with the right engineering, beams will win every time for stripping shields. But since they don't do kinetic, they're not as good on a Vulture. Maybe one beam and one burst or pulse with inertial impact or phasing sequence. No ammo needed, and does either some kinetic or some shield bypassing damage, depending on how much jitter you want to deal with.

      @@mbrsart yeah so basically on paper they are good. But in game they don’t work as well since most ppl build for good res so about 50 of that great dmg is thrown right out the window and your distro is empty befor you do any good damage. Weapon distro on a combat ship? Sounds like a good way to be a slow moving target. If it’s gimballed it’s even worse just chaff it or dispersal field. Kinetic is usually the best for damage and pulse does better shield damage anyway. Thermal vent is good but it doesn’t work well unless you overcharge or go short range. It’s fine for PVE but beams in PVP are what worry me the least.

    I have one with gimballed double efficient beams both heat venting makes me a hard target because im constantly cooled down could go with thermal shock on one of them maybe dunno

    I would also suggest a good kinetic weapon for when you overheat or need to reduce power draw. The bursts are good on the shields but even a gatling would help deal more hull damage

      Yeah, I have a build that uses a cannon as well, technically higher dps but theoretically lower sustain cause ammo. This would be good for farming CZ's/haz res's etc. As demonstrated, also good for stacking assassinations.
      That said, the hull damage isn't too bad with inertial impact since half of the massively increased damage is converted to kinetic rather than simply 100% thermal.

      I don't auto-locate it, I have a bind for "Target previous sub-system". If you do previous, powerplant is closer than if you bind "Target next sub-system". o7

    What's the ENG on lasers? I am using Pacifier on my Vulture and it just melts trough everything... but.. you know. ammo

      Pacifiers are great on the Vulture if you want to fight a single enemy! :rofl:
      Short range G5 + inertial impact is what I'm using. Nowhere near the dps of pacifiers but far more sustain. Great for CZ's.

      @@silverstyles5646 well... i can sustain for a while in Haz Res... no problem. won a fight vs. wing of 2 deadly Chieftains and elite Krait, because harmless wing mate engaged them by accident. Had to synth trough fight once 'cause engagement started after some time in res zone. Repairs were required after fight, but we both survived.

      Turn the rest of the ship into a battering ram. A fast bi-weave on a heavy vulture is better than these lasers here. Then the pacifiers can be relegated to either only softening the target (corrosion increases collision damage as well) or speeding up an encounter that's otherwise too dangerous. This will make ammo last long enough to be sustainable for CZs etc.

      @@Yin2Falcon Yeah I should ram more, this video is the result of a massive play session and my shields didn't even get below 40% the entire time. It's like playing on easy mode. Pacifiers ARE utterly brutal but I'm a sucker for non-sequitur stuff! ;)

    Let me guess: short range and inertial impact?
    That's actually something I was meaning to try out with a vulture or courier. Thinking it might make for a decent small dogfighter. Your video here certainly makes it look powerful.

      Correct. It's not top dps but it's pretty good and doesn't require ammo synth of course. The 50/50 kinetic/thermal damage makes it a pretty good all-rounder.

      I've engineered them with short range grade 5 which vastly increases their damage at the cost of max range and increased heat generation. I then put the experimental on which roughly doubles the damage (on top of short range) then splits the damage type into 50% thermal and 50% kinetic with the drawback of having a mild random jitter applied to their accuracy. Think of them as laser shotguns. Greatly effective in close quarters, as depicted.

    Why not to pair biwave with resistance shield boosters instead of heavy duty and use larger powerplant and guardian shield booster, you can have 60% dmg resist across the board with fast regen and have cooler ship with armored thermal spread. And all that without any pips to system, if you add 2 pips to sys we are talking 70% resist. Or im missing someshing?

      Yes you are missing something. For roughly the same effective shield HP, you've increased the power requirements by ~20%. A 4A powerplant with armoured won't accommodate that, in fact it doesn't accommodate what I'm already using.
      Additionally, my powerplant is overcharged AND armoured already which is why I don't need the 4A class PP. It's a 3A CG reward powerplant, which I've mentioned everywhere already.
      I'd love to see the build you're suggesting because by my interpretation, it's impossible.
