Julie's performance is good, but Lea has more emotion in her singing.
she’s amazing, but what is this staging…
And... they recast this...?
Yes. They needed star power to try and at least recoup part of the MILLIONS they lost. As lovely as Julie is, because they started with a “name,” they need a name now.
@@chachabunny123ut surely they could stunt cast secondary characters enough to keep this.
@@DragonPrincessAoife the others were not packing enough of a punch! Ramin and Jared are well-known, but even with Tovah (who is also a well-known powerhouse), refunds sought when Lea was out were through the roof. I know they tried to stack the company initially to help carry beanie.
Her accent is good! The hooping and hollering during the number from all the hillbillies is annoying, and misplaced.
Heard a lot about her. Didn’t live up to the hype. Lea is still better. I wish this girl luck though
I guess.... If you like Lea Michelle playing Rachel Berry, playing Barbra Streisand, playing Fanny Brice.
@@oc5939 you clearly haven't seen Lea Michele in the show
Awesome High School production!
it’s not a high school production by the way
She sings this better than Lea ever did.
Julie didn't, she doesn't and she won't! Lea Michele's voice is incredible and wonderful, go to see her first performance in funny girl on Broadway on TH-cam.
stop pitting women against each other. You can praise one without mentioning the other .
Shame on you. Lea is incredible and is saving the show. Stop piting women against each other. They both support one another
@@rogergedeon5889 So your ok with praising a racist and a bully?
@@sowhat3729 Lea is a hardcore racist and bully. I am not praising her.
She has a nice mix, and she seems dependable, but unfortunately she lacks star quality
Well, I can’t understand what was so terrible about Beanie’s croaking, I mean singing. She had the same vocal coach as Lucille Ball in MAME and look how well that tuned out! (But Beanie wasn’t blurry!!)
You should not be taping. It's against Actors Equity.
A very nice version. Julie Benko is an amazing talent. But she's no Lea Michele, as a singer or an actress. Although Julie could play the lead and do perfectly well, Lea is the correct choice to lead this production.
WTF was that? If I hadn’t read what song she was trying to preform I would have never known it was “Don’t Rain on my Parade”. Just a sad rendition.
WOW!!!
I fell that Lea is better
Meh….
