    Really good video . I completed the Haynes . Just received the revell , You make me want the 289 , from Your review it seems to be the best engine build . Thanks for Your video .

      Thanks Barry. Yea the 289 is a very good kit. But the Testors Dodge 426 Hemi was the hardest but most awesome model to date. I did a video on that one too. Take care.... Steve

      The "289" was the most complex model. It was most fun and worthwhile to build.

    Great Job building the engine kit's , Also it's a big help choosing what engine kit to buy , It would be nice if there was a Chevy 283 or 327 V8 made , Thanks for the great video.

    Nice lineup. The Franzis engine oddly has no intake or exhaust ports in the heads, unlike the Revell.

    I have the original Renwal kit. I painted Intake and exhaust ports on one side of the block blue and red.

    Nice video and comparison. I done the Haynes but if you think that's a rat's nest of wiring, you'd really no like mine.!

      I liked the motor very much. I just didn't like how they did the wires. I still would recommend the kit.

      @@poppiesplace4475 if I could figure out how to put a photo on here, you'd see exactly what I mean. I've added a couple extra.

    My 289 didn’t come with a timing belt.

      Contact Franzis customer service. I'd be surprised if they won't send you one. Take care......Steve

    is building one of these more informative than a mechanics course?

    • @poppiesplace4475
      @poppiesplace4475  ปีที่แล้ว

      No the real thing is quite different. But these models do give you a good idea of how the real engines work..

      Not really. You'll know more than someone who didn't build one.

    Wow, I remember building the Visible V-8 kit, I think around 1973 or 74. Don't even remember who made the kit. Just remember building it, then built the Wankel around that same time. Good to see these kits are still around. Geeze, hope these stupid EV's don't take over. Nothing more American than a V-8!
