by the way if you guys noticed while in canada that not many truck drivers were talking to you, its because most of our trucks are equipped with VHF radios, not CB radios.
Yeah, we are running VHF handhelds and are chatting the drivers up if we pass them. I’m trying to thank every one of them as we go by. Truck drivers make the world go round!
@@gearshiftgarage1 If you guys plan on driving back down and have the time, take highway 37 to kitwanga bc then highway 16 east. I havent driven highway 37 but I drive highway 16 every week for work, the drive from Smither BC to Prince Rupert is incredibly scenic as you are right beside the river and the mountains. If you get hungry on the way back stop at the Pleasant Valley Restaurant in Houston for breakfast, and Senior Duggies Taco's in Fraser Lake for Lunch. if you have a lot of time then head west from kitwanga and head into Terrace to get some pizza from Mia Pizza or Checkers Pizza and some coffee's and cinnamon buns from The Fix Cafe. Then go to Prince Rupert, and then go to Breakers Pub, amazing food and right on the harbour.
If you're still going to be up in Alaska on the 7th show up the Thunder Valley Speedway watches race and the demo derby at the end of the night and come and And talk to the drivers if you make it
@@gearshiftgarage1 yeah I'm the driver of the Poor Boy racing hobby stock car and you're welcome it is $15 to get u n to Stan's in $20 to get into pass there is also races on the 6th
