I love the long form content. The shorts don’t do much for me. I know it probably takes a lot longer to film but the step by step build, rebuild and just overall explanatory segments are very cool. I think that’s why channels like Vise Grip Garage get so many views. He does stuff and shows step by step processes and it makes the viewer feel like they could dive into their own projects with better confidence. Teaching your viewers and inspiring them to build their own rigs, I think is a winner. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work.
Damn guys! That’s awesome. Can’t wait to see some Testing videos. I definitely catch all the videos because I’m a moron member. The lives are hard for me to catch because of length but I save them and listen when driving
I gotta say I really like that window setup. It looks fast sitting still. I don’t watch your shorts cause I’m more interested in your longer videos. I don’t know what to say as far as getting more people to watch your stuff except making sure they know you’re doing more than just drag racing. I love drag racing but some just don’t. I feel that you guys aren’t only limited to that tho. I mean you’re building a burnout truck, you’re building a Mustang for Sema, you’ve drove 1100 miles in the burnout truck and laughed the whole way. Yes drag racing is what made your name but you do so much more and I think other people need to see that and hell maybe they’ll even like drag racing after they see how much fun you guys make it.
Seeing what goes on behind the scenes with a driver and his team “Phantom”makes watching No Prep Kings more exciting to watch. I feel like I’m invested in your racing program like a teammate. Love all the content you create. Thank you!!
This is what I have been saying for a couple years at least. For me it goes a whole other level as the fellowship of everyone working on the cars and between drivers at the track gives me a flashback to when My family raced. This makes your normal fellowship really special.
Great job guys i truly belive you will get your first NPK inv win this year , last years Great 8 wins brought all of us Morans too know 187 Customs is in the hunt for this wicked crazy NPK field your up against.. Hope you find a benifit in running the 136 PC or let Shawn eat some good ole Steaks , Great job again proud of the whole 187 Cutoms Race Team.
Phantom videos are getting better all the time. I really enjoy when the boys are in shop helping/learning to be touching as they remind me of being out in the shop with my dad. Would love to see more videos of when new projects come to shop even if there is only a short 5-10 minute one. That weight saving is huge. Congratulations. I wonder how much it would be with Dalton in the car?
I’ve pretty much watched every episode you guys have uploaded, and i’ve only been a part of the moron nation aka member for over 14 months, and tbh you’s are the only channel I’ve actually stuck it out and stayed with day in day out, the content is awesome funny. Keep it up. P.S. more road trips please. Watching from down under.
I look forward to new video's specially when i am working its nice to watch/listen to you guys makes my work day tolerable haha keep doing what u guys are doing 😊
I'm crazy disappointed that you won't be at New England Dragway this year. I can't make any of the other east coast races. I signed up for the daily driver at Epping. I was hoping I could talk one of you into staging me. I'm not complaining, I'd be livid if someone gave me sh*& for putting my son first. I wish you all the best for this year. I hope something changes and this isn't your last season.
Awesome to see you guys hit 250k. Great job phantom. We all know how much shawn counts on you from doing TH-cam to all the car stuff you do for him. I always watch all the videos. I may not watch it the day it comes out but I always try to. Hope more people start watching
I watch every episode, just purely because I love what you guys do. I think the burnout truck will help A lot, we get it NPK pays the bills but I also think more videos of you 4 on the streets just cruising and playing would grab a lot of attention.
I'm a Tulsan love you guys. My father was what you guys are back in 1974 in Tulsa runnin a 1965cutlass w 455 . But he had every bolt washer . Even ac on the firewall was chrome .and still didn't use. Because it took horse power away.. will send you some pics. He was one of the Northside racers which one of the wife's ended up being one of the first female pro bike drag racers. Her bike is at Don Garitts museum.
One last comment I love that you don't always hand things to your kid's on a silver platter. I know you love them to death but your setting them up for real life and real life is hard and not always fare. You're doing a great job
Weight loss is almost always a good thing. The saying I heard around Stock Car builders was Worry about the ounces and the pounds will take care of themselves. Thoughts? Cheapest horsepower list should include weight loss, ProCharger and Nitrous. Other items to add? One to remove? I can assure you that I watch them as soon as I can when they come out and sometimes I watch them multiple times. I can't financially help so I am trying to do all I can for you, Doc (when he posts one), Monza (LOVE his "New" car) and I watch a ton for Reaper to help him. I am so happy that Reaper has a car fully paid for and a sponsor. It should mean you will see him at NPK. God bless y'all!!!
I watch every video twice, I don’t know if this makes any difference, but I’m a TH-cam premium member. I don’t know if that helps you when I comment or like y’all’s videos.
Phantom, On the views from subscribers. I can only tell you about what I watch. The hot rods and race car videos I watch. Videos showing you putting new led lights in a pickup truck. or riding side by sides, I have very little interest in. You need to embrace being a hot rod/drag racing channel, and focus more of your videos on that side of things. Just as an example, I also subscribe to Ryan Martin. Big Ryan fan. He just put out a video about a side by side, I will probably never watch it.
I agree with the statement about the side by side stuff. Most other content I'm right here for. Oh, and tell Shawn to turn his mic off when he's not on camera. #moronnation
Definitely love what you guys are doing! Been watching for awhile! Love how you're trying to improve the channel! The new mic setup does need some fine tuning.. you can really hear it towards the end. Other than that cars looking and sounding killer! Ready to hurt some feelings this year!
Awesome video as always. I love watching your stuff in the shop more than the NPK wrap ups, I watch those too, but the shop content is killer. Thank y'all for keeping us morons entertained.
Hey guys, this was one of my favorite, hang around the garage videos. I love the work you guys are putting in. That's an amazing difference. I can't wait to see it fly. Much love and respect
It took me a while to work out why it sounds all funny 🤣 using personal microphones Shawn doesn’t go quieter when he walks away from the camera!it was tripping me out 😂 upping your production quality 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 you both sound better than on the show with a BIG production company!
Watched the first round of you guys in Aussie. I liked watching you guys win. You and your fellow racers made a kiwi ( New Zealander) happy watching the Aussie’s lose.
I just became a member. Love the channel and I'm happy to see you doing well. I've been a super fan since day one of first episode of street outlaws. I'm glad to see that you have stayed true to yourself and especially your family unlike someone else who we will not mention. Keep up the good work.
I love all the things you guys do! I know that for me the street stuff is what gets me most excited. The talks of possibly not doing the npk racing and going back to street racing would be bad ass I can only imagine what it’s like to try and navigate through doing what you want and what’s best for the 187 brand! Either way I’ll be watching my vote is for the streets!!! Over everything!
Phantom can’t say enough do what you guys do best, my phone I leave them notifications off cause what I do for a living and when I do get home I turn on the tablet and play catch up on videos that I haven’t see. My tablet set with all the notifications that I missed.. great to see the NPK Car getting ready for the season.
I watch all of you guys’ videos and ive been to npk in ohio the past two years now and i never get to see you guys or get pics or anything with you or daddy dave. I have however gotten pics with Lutz and Monza both years. Lutz is a hometown favorite of mine. He and i are from the same town. As for your videos..questioning what you can do to help viewing numbers..i watch them all no matter what youre working on and love them all so please keep em coming. Big fan of you guys, Lutz, Monza, and Daddy Dave. Thanks.
If every ounce counts : My 2 cents . . . * In the mix of fiberglass(it’s been around since 60s) dye it of all colors make it dirty black Use black chalk in the mold to stain the fresh fiberglass * If the quarters & roof metal, the metal primer must be black (to match the fiberglass) Cut the primer with acetone so it sprays very thin (1 coat) * it looks 1 tone satin finish or flat black Now only sponsors on the car * Id get a quarter panel bare metal, spray 1 coat black primer Hand paint thin brush "Bush" Have a wrap with Bush Weigh them both 1 will be lighter (all the panels it will add up) Every non essential bolt ( drill a SMALL hole through the middle) same as speed holes Example in this video it’s the door skin (I’d sand the inside surface) it looks like a fiberglass inner structure tons of (stainless) maybe hard aluminum bolts. Drill 1/8 hole or less I’m assuming the dash all the brackets under the dash drill speed holes, package tray under rear glass (Swiss Cheese). All secondary or third brackets hold or clamp something Swiss cheese Love all the hard work bro
We had custom titanium race pipes/exhaust for our motocross bikes. Pro circuit would change out the whole system every race for us. At the end of my pro career I snagged one of the Ti systems…it lasted 3 races before I had to weld it back up. After the 5th race it was unrepairable. Those were insanely thin wall though. Hopefully you can at least get half a season
Another great video! I absolutely love the red wheels/rims! Can’t wait to go to my first NPK race at Qlispe, husband not so much, he’s just not into this shit like I am.
2024 is the year of 187!! I predict at least 3 invitational wins and 4 or 5 great 8 wins! Also i believe y'all will be number 1 in points for npk season 7!! I told everyone last year that y'all would be in the top 10 and y'all did way better than that!! All that hard work is paying off! I couldnt be happier for the whole 187 crew!!
Great job on weight reduction! I’ve watched a long time. Most impressive. Can’t wait to see it finished. I know my speakers don’t do it justice but it sounds awesome.
The only reasons we roll our dirt late model cars onto the scales is 1 to have it up off the ground to roll around underneath it to make adjustments and so the scales don't move around when we set the rear axle down since it moves around alot
Guys, loving the fact you are posting more often. I follow all the "OG 405" folks and you are FAR AND AWAY the best to watch. I like your format, content and the way you present. Keep it up, don't change anything you are doing, my only suggestion would be more often is better. Example, I follow one of the best in the business, Steve Morris Racing Engines, and he posts often and with quality content. Other than being up in Michigan, gotta ask why you guys don't run SMX's? Prolly logistics, I get it, but he manufactures some killer stuff. Proline is closer - I understand. Keep up the good work man, you guys kick ass.
So glad to see that bad ass npk nova of yours back together and running . 2 of my favorite things in the world a bad ass high hors engine paired with mycallntime favorite car wow
It’s awesome someone finally decided to give titanium a shot for headers. You can use thicker tubing and still have less weight than stainless. Titanium heat cycles better than stainless, they use it on jet engine exhaust cones. If it can survive that you guys should be fine. Now it’s time to start swapping the aluminum intake tubes for titanium. You can run thinner tubing and get weight savings there as well.
Losing such a huge weight is awesome improvements !. The Nova must be flying to the finish line this Season !. Can't wait to see her on the NPK track. 👍💪
I absolutely love your guys videos, I watch them all as I can, I truly appreciate whay you guys do I am a drag racer myself I bracket race and kickin around the idea of index racin also.
I love it. Yall was bad fast when you was heavy. Now you are light and gona be even faster. This year yall gona get a few wins. Oh and I love the red wheels. Now can't wait for yall to put people out on your way to the win.
it is always enjoyable watching your videos one thing i liked was the shadow of the headers on the floor keep up what your doing and good work on the weight loss
Awsome job guys i luv watching these videos i could watch this stuff all day everyday. Cant wait to see it after it all gets done. Good luck testing and b safe out there.
I think you will show that PROLINE and FUELTECH are tough to beat. I will be routing for you guys to win 🏆. Enjoy kicking ass this year . Go Proline !!!.
Shaun you are right the left side is definitely lower then the right but it could be a body fastener in the wrong spot or the bracket for it bent, I wouldn’t cut it before you try to refit it, your dad is a body man so you know what your looking at
Hell yeah nice job on the weight loss and everything going into this year locked and loaded and ready to kick some ass and hurt people's feelings love everything yall do
Almost looks like a leaking injector due to the same pipe shooting fuel out of it on multiple start ups. Great work guys. I love that you trying new things and trying titanium headers out excited to see what they sound like on a pass. Keep up the good work and content
I can't wait until this season of NPK. Definitely think you guys will at least one invitational this season. I wish I could be there when it happens. Im hoping to make it to the Ohio race when you guys come. Need to get my new hat and t-shirt that I get every time.
Shawn 1:29 and Phantom y’all keep doing you keep kicking the videos out I love the long videos I listen as I go to work, so yeah keep them up See y’all at Beach Bend.
I love seeing you guys off to a great start! Good job you guys🔥 Once you cut out the pro charger inlet and take out the weight in the back, the little things like fuel, rap and cameras won’t add more than 10 lbs to that!
I’m a dirt track racer and never rolled my car on and off the scales. But you guys are just doing overall weight and rear % We do take out the rear axle on our modified to get the load out of each wheel. We do a lot of individual wheel loads. Some guys do roll their cars but it’s not a must. It just helps with resetting the individual wheel weighs.
For me, uts a combination of being REALLY busy... and good car content is at an all time high on TH-cam, do no, i dont watch a lot of videos right away, but i do fins myself unable to stop when i start watching your vids.. Keep up the good work and good luck for the season.
Just watched all 47 minutes of it. I personally think yalls videos are cool and entertaining. From the intro to the end, it's always good content. Yall keep it up!
I had full titanium race exhaust on my race bike. It never once cracked and thing was off Rev limiter all the time at 12500 rpms. Raced 3 seasons with that exhaust. I don't think you'll have a problem.....
In the dirt track cars the suspensions get all relaxed when lifted, they have tremendous shock travel. If you set them straight down, the wheels will not be loaded as when compressed and rolling. The scales will not slide around to find home.
When Shawn did the Dad thing, stopping mid sentence and said whoa, whoa, whoa, I stopped and looked around 😂😂😂
You do you. The words most used by us genx parents. Hahaha
🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️

"Build it and they will come." Keep it going guys. We enjoy the heck out your content, and I think more and more people will come along for the ride.

Losing that much weight is incredible. Thats going to make a huge difference on the track. Way to go.

I agree! Those red wheels look AMAZING!
You all put a lot of work into that car and the video editing was superb this episode. Can't wait to see more in 24! Great job all.

The wireless mics are the best addition to channel so far! Keep it up Phantom, the vids keep getting better.
I loved that Phantom corrected shawn on his incorrect usage of moron.
Go get it done I'm hoping for big things for yall
Phantom, I give you a props. You respond to a lot of comments. That's Respectable
It’s also Ms. Phantom who responds too 😬🤗

Weight loss is almost always a good thing. The saying I heard around Stock Car builders was Worry about the ounces and the pounds will take care of themselves. Thoughts?
Cheapest horsepower list should include weight loss, ProCharger and Nitrous. Other items to add? One to remove?

I'm just watching stuff back from 2021 again on shop truck
Is that premium subscription worth it? I’ve debated on it for a while
F4 Phantom exhaust is made from titanium. You can stop drill them to stop the cracks until you get the welded.

If every ounce counts :
My 2 cents . . .
* In the mix of fiberglass(it’s been around since 60s) dye it of all colors make it dirty black
Use black chalk in the mold to stain the fresh fiberglass
* If the quarters & roof metal, the metal primer must be black (to match the fiberglass)
Cut the primer with acetone so it sprays very thin (1 coat)
* it looks 1 tone satin finish or flat black Now only sponsors on the car
* Id get a quarter panel bare metal, spray 1 coat black primer Hand paint thin brush "Bush"
Have a wrap with Bush
Weigh them both 1 will be lighter (all the panels it will add up)
Every non essential bolt ( drill a SMALL hole through the middle) same as speed holes
Example in this video it’s the door skin (I’d sand the inside surface) it looks like a fiberglass inner structure tons of (stainless) maybe hard aluminum bolts. Drill 1/8 hole or less
I’m assuming the dash all the brackets under the dash drill speed holes, package tray under rear glass (Swiss Cheese). All secondary or third brackets hold or clamp something Swiss cheese

it is always enjoyable watching your videos one thing i liked was the shadow of the headers on the floor keep up what your doing and good work on the weight loss
Good luck this year. You really started nailing the consistency last year.
Lov the wheels and the zoomies!!!
Sweet the weight loss is amazing. The editing keeps getting better. 187 customs is real. Keep it that way you’ll get the followers.
I love the sound of the "Murder Nova" when you started it up!!! I'm excited about season 7!!!!
Excellent work guys. Can’t wait to see you again at Beech Bend!
Same I have to watch twice to make sure I don't miss anything...Plus it always makes my day
I can't wait until this season of NPK.
What were you guys going to do had Shawn sold the Nova?
Dude that car is soooo badass it sounds f..in awesome
I love seeing you guys off to a great start! Good job you guys🔥 Once you cut out the pro charger inlet and take out the weight in the back, the little things like fuel, rap and cameras won’t add more than 10 lbs to that!
Awesome on the weight loss. I can't wait to hopefully see it turn into good results
Looking forward to seeing yall in Petersburg again this year
That’s a big weight savings, but a lot of small stuff can really add up too. Great work guys, it definitely should make a difference this year.
SCALE METERS SHOW 54% ON THE FRONT, NOT THE REAR!!
54% was in the front
I would say a lot of people will not watch an episode if it’s more than 20 minutes long. You are one of the few channels I will still watch.
Nope just you. VGG one of the biggest gear head TH-cam channels out there and his videos are always an hour or more.
Love all that you guys do look forward to seeing you in Ohio and in my hometown of Spokane (Spo-can) you guys are awesome
I’m a dirt track racer and never rolled my car on and off the scales.
But you guys are just doing overall weight and rear %
We do take out the rear axle on our modified to get the load out of each wheel. We do a lot of individual wheel loads. Some guys do roll their cars but it’s not a must. It just helps with resetting the individual wheel weighs.
Thanks!
You’re the man Ted! Thank you!
Awesome thank you!
I had full titanium race exhaust on my race bike. It never once cracked and thing was off Rev limiter all the time at 12500 rpms. Raced 3 seasons with that exhaust. I don't think you'll have a problem.....
🎉🎉 I'M HAPPY FOR TEAM MURDER NOVA🎉🎉 YOU GUYS ARE ALWAYS WORKING .
In the dirt track cars the suspensions get all relaxed when lifted, they have tremendous shock travel. If you set them straight down, the wheels will not be loaded as when compressed and rolling. The scales will not slide around to find home.
Can’t wait for the NPK vids!!
Shawn won't be happy till he is happy. Awesome dude I met him in Bradenton FL at the NPK finals
