YES! I have been searching the last few days for this old game! I remember seeing this rod hockey game advertised when I was a kid, but I couldn't remember what it was called. Thank you for uploading! Now, "game on!"
Stiga still makes that style of Rod Hockey, and ICE still makes the Super CheXX Bubble Hockey machines, both are NHL Licensed and can be customized to feature whatever 2 teams you want
This is a pretty rare find these days. A couple a year will pop up on ebay for 60-100$. Problem is that shooting action breaks inside. You can fix it, it's a big pain in the butt without the parts though. If you have a long metal thin filament type material, than you can dremel out the shooting action and disassemble the players to remove the previous ones, which wear out and break because they're plastic. I did that on all ten of mine after buying a broken one on ebay for 80$. Absolutely love this game. Super fun. One of my favorite rod hockey tables up there with benej and stiga.
Had this when I was a kid. I know a few things were broken so I got rid of it, but I think I'm gonna keep an eye out for another one at a thrift (even if it doesn't have wristshot action).
I had this as a kid. Still my favorite rod hockey game. Unfortunately two of the handled got kicked off on separate occasions, ruining the wrist shot action and the game was eventually discarded.
Sorry, not a card collector. I actually have an unboxed game in my possession. Very prized. I collect them for spare parts. I find them on ebay occasionally. I would invest $$ to start making these again.
Justin Shiffler You wouldn't happen to have an Irwin Winnwell Top Corner Tabletop Hockey game that you'd be willing to part with? I had one as a kid that I loved (played it until it fell apart) and would like to buy another one, but there are no complete sets for sale online and I don't want to spend $100 on three incomplete/broken sets
Yep, the furniture polish helps the surface stay slick and the puck is faster. One of my games (I've bought several) came with a heavier rounded puck that is the best. The edge profile is a little lopsided so it doesn't roll much. I have many of the square pucks but will use this custom one as long as we don't lose it.
Justin, I know this isn't the right venue for this, but any chance you could part with a spare goal (I'd pay for it, of course)? I've got a working set, but my daughter stepped on a net and broke it... cannot find a replacement to save my life.
This is the best table hockey game out there! Still play it to this day, though all of the slapshot triggers but one are broken :( PS that goalie move (butt hugging the post) at 2:16 by the blue goalie is banned at my house! lol too easy to block the entire left side of the net
+Chris D Get yoself some more players. Set alerts on ebay. Folks sell these a lot. I have an unopened box at home and a box full of spare players I've bought over the years. You must establish your farm team system.
Hi Justin. Do you have (or any idea who does) an extra Player A, preferably in the red color? My game is pretty much band new but that players stick got jammed when putting it away and the plastic broke inside the player 😕
Dred Lee, you are entitled to your opinion but to compare these games with Top Corner and conclude it is the worst game makes no sense. It's an entirely different table hockey game experience. Stiga is not better than Top Corner, it's a different game. Having the ability to rip shots past the goalies shoulders is really an interesting addition to table hockey imho. Stiga is fun, my daughter prefers to play it. Me, I'm loving TC. My son, finds it difficult. I bet he will soon be killing me with top shelf slap shots. The Slapshot action add to the fun factor tremendously.
TrOuTster5 I've sampled all the games from Stiga, to Coleco, Munroe, Powerplay etc the list goes on. You are correct they are all a different experience and imho this game is the worst experience of them all. Cheap quality and a fun concept when you have no idea how to play tablehockey. The second you learn the concept of the one-timer and how to defend, that top corner crap is absolutely useles against a decent player much less a great player. Two thumbs down. Great game for fans of bubble hockey in bars where nobody knows what they're doing
Ok, I just read this is by Winnwell, didn't realze that, a web site I came across gave Winnwell compliments on their table hockey. I'm looking for 1 I got as a kid, probably early 80's, Leafs vs. Habs, it had a gondola on top that rolled the puck to the centre and dropped it, do u think it was a Coleco?
One of the worst table hockey games ever made on many levels. Coleco, Munroe, Stiga...too many games to mention that are better than that waste of money. I wouldn't take it if it were free.
Justin Table hockey and those who are serious is all about the one timer from winger to centreman whether it's up high or down low. If your strategy involves trying to pick corners then you'll get the absolute snot beaten out of you in any tournament. Look at all the fans of this game...NONE of them have a clue how to play. Exhibit A....the video. Come on bro, that game is garbage.
@@JnJShiffler It's possible to shoot high on the STIGA but it takes some skill to do it. It works by pushing the rod sideway which makes the player tilt and move the player with a snappy motion. But I rather prefer playing along the ice. It's tiresome to look for pucks behind furniture. By the way, a thing that is better on STIGA than most other games is that there are zero blind spots and no safe passes. There's always chance to break all types of passes. On the Top Corner you can always safe pass from right defender to center which is a cheap way to attack.

what a great game with a impressive mechanism that allow us the lift the puck in the air and then looking for it under the sofa
Could have watched 3 hours of this! TSN2 has got to have room for this!!

can you make a video about how to repair it ?
That is a great little game, well engineered and designed...but very hard to find one.
I have an unopened box item. One of my treasures.
Stiga still makes that style of Rod hockey, about $150CAD from Toys R Us and it's officially Licensed by the NHL
Yes deltakittenebay, the polish does help make the surface faster, more slick.
Had this when I was a kid. I know a few things were broken so I got rid of it, but I think I'm gonna keep an eye out for another one at a thrift (even if it doesn't have wristshot action).

Have you seen that Benej table hockey?
I see you have that can of furniture polish. Did you spray that on the game? If so, did it give the surface a better action?
any ideas where I can get the rods for this, I have 2 that are broken
Go red Go!
I'll bid you my unwrapped Wayne Gretzky retirement card from 1999 for that!

that is a fantastic looking table
It's the BEST rod hockey game. Hope you can find one. Create an auto search alert on Ebay, that's what I did. Have bought several that way.

Just keep an eye out on ebay, it's worth getting a couple sets. I have an unopened box but not selling that.

Sure can , I have several goals. email me at jnjshiffler@yahoo.com

I have spare players. An unopened game too. I created a search on ebay to notify me when anything Top Corner is sold.
@@JnJShiffler Hi Justin. I am looking for the 'A' rod and player assembly. Do you have one for sale? Thanks
@@dougtate5355 I probably do. What color player, red or blue? Which player is it off hand?

Cool, are Stiga and Coleco good? Or Munro the inventer of table hockey?
I would only buy Top Corner. I don't even like the bubble hockey at rinks anymore.
Cool, do they use Top Corner in tourneys?
Probably not, I have never been at a tourney.

Better what? No you don't. The "pro" model stinks. The guys shoot slower and the goalie is too big, takes too long to score.

NONE of those games can actually shoot the puck, just turn and hit. Top Corner is the best hands down. None of those games can elevate the puck.
