Chiefs are looking slick, precise short passes and clever running lines but the Drua were in it too, this season is anyone's (except maybe the Crusaders!)
Drua no change, away games loose all the time..home games very hard to beat. Drua officials needs to have a word with the boys...treat every game as if you are playing in Lautoka or Suva.
statistically you are right, but i do not think it is only to do with away games, the Fijians need to learn to play at least some defence and pace themselves through the 80 minutes, offensively they are the most gifted on the planet, we all know that
I've seen countless FORWARD PASSES the last couple of years ...also @ the WORLD CUP, 6NATIONS,etc & also in other Northern Hemisphere competitions .. perhaps their desire is to adopt a more AMERICAN FOOTBALL ( GRIDION ) with Helmets and shoulder pads,ball pads, arsehole pads etc ...+ a fucking long FORWARD PASS to make the game more exciting for a merry cans of money who wanna spend it ?
Drua just simply aren't experienced enough to beat the Chiefs when they're playing like this. Up the Drua, but the Chiefs are the real deal. I just think the Hurricanes are a little better right now, but this playoff race is still WIDE OPEN.

Pretty good crowd watching entertaining rugby, without much defence but that’s the style these days. Officials don’t seem too concerned with forward passes, perhaps to make it easier for players to try their luck in the NFL. I guess it doesn’t really matter as long as there are bums in paid seats, since nobody worries about offside either.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, That Drua 15 is a moving penalty on the field. Senseless kicks, simply giving away possession with no tactical motives behind it. Runs at the defence line and gets isolated, resulting in possession being stolen or penalised. Small things like this against clinical sides like the chiefs will cost us heavily. #tosodrua

Just check @ 2:09 (no.14 try), 3:50 (no.11 try) and 4:17 (no.7 try). Use markers, lines etc for reference and youtubes slow play features. You'll see! Those are forward passes....!! Great game from both teams but the officials need not blink in these kinda fast games.
When Drua can finally pick up on the little mistakes like knocking on the ball during kick offs and halfbacks not letting the ball sleep during rucks when it is needed quickly and of course not turning the ball over when in the oppositions territory and the basic knock ons then and only then will they start winning away games...do the small things right and the big ones will take care of themselves.
I love the Fijian style of play, but they need to get smarter with how they are marking up out wide. Far too many easy tries let in this season on the wings from simple overlaps.
The forwards need to be more faster in covering up while defending. We can too many lazy runners specialy forwards. This makes the flankers to come inside and defending, making big spaces outwide. Secondly, forwards need to be more faster in executing balls towards outwide to wings. We could see how fast cheifs were moving and flicking the ball side to side creating more time and space to wingers.

NZ sides look soft in the forwards. Competition is closer which is good, but think this is a large reason why - years of ball runners selected over people who excel at doing core roles up front.

The reff was bias.Dont think it would change the outcome though as chiefs were just too good but still.The officials need to be consistent. One or two wrong calls is fine. But letting so many forward passes continue and penalising Drua over marginal errors is just not on. Great game never the less so early in the season. The rest of the games later that night was just not that fun to watch.
