At the end of mahabharat the total deaths were 3918888 which sums also equal to 9
9 is special in mathematics coz we are using decimal system, if we use 0-6 digits rather than 0-9(decimal) the number 6 will be the special number, Same is the case with 0-5, 0-8 etc.
9*1=9
9*2=18 (1+8=9)
9*3=27 (2+7=9)
So on....
This is not the case with any other number.

When you take system of 0-6 numbers then sequence of Counting Numbers will be: 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 , 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23... and so on.
Now here:
6*0 = 0
6*1 = 6
6*2 = 15 (1+5=6)
6*3 = 24 (2+4=6)
6*4 = 33 (3+3=6)
6*5 = 42 (4+2=6)
6*6 = 51 (5+1=6)
6*10 = 60 (6+0=6)
Now see, here there will not be any 6*7 because we do not have 7 in our number system. Now after 6*6 the turn would be of 10 whose value is equal to 7 in decimal(0-9) number system.
6*11 = 66 (6+6=15, then 1+5=6)
Here also 6+6 will not be 12(because the answer is 12 in decimal(0-9) number system, but not in 0-6 number system. The answer in 0-6 number system will be 15.
Now you can see how 6 has become a special number in 0-6 number system.
