I've had my xTool S1 for a month now and have played around a bit with these layered designs as well as the acrylic paint markers. They are a lot of fun, but with the more detailed designs there can be a lot of super small pieces. Good thing for the crumb tray, lol. I've ordered a set of the markers for everyone in my family and plan to make some simple Xmas snowman, reindeer, etc for the younger kids to paint up and put together.

Thank you for this Steve. My p2 will be here Tuesday. I’m watching many TH-cam reviews to learn all about it. This tutorial using XCS was really inspirational to try new things.

I'm glad you found it helpful. I'll have more videos out on the P2 soon. It's a capable machine and I'm looking forward to sharing more information and ideas for it.

Great idea for crafting with the gkids.

Yes, a lot of options for projects with kids of all ages! The paint markers really worked well with almost no clean up. I did get a little bit of paint on my fingers, but it's acrylic and washes right off with water!

Everyone should sit down with some paints or crayons every so often and just add some color to the world. It's very relaxing!

Happy Thanksgiving to you Steve and your family, hope it was great! Thanks for this video, I’m inspired to do some of these types that were originally designed for paper crafts. Can’t wait to try this!

Yes! Lots of paper craft designs can be brought into the laser for other mediums. Have some fun with that! Thanks for watching and I hope you had a good Thanksgiving as well.

I did something similar to this for my wife on a Christmas ornament. I used her logo for her craft business.

Thanks for an interesting video....I have been waiting for someone to actually use the P2 to make something....but I really wanted to hear it running. I recieved mine a little over a week ago and was surprised at how loud it was. Thought there was something... really wrong. Created a short video and put it on facebook asking if that was normal. Many replies saying yes. I was surprised because none of the youtubers reviewing it mentionit it was loud...and I mean loud..or included it running in their videos. Perhaps because it was so loud they couldn't talk while it was running. Thanks for an interesting video. By the way I built two of your enclosures for my xtool d1 10W and 20W lasers. Cut them out with my CNC and they are very nice. I did take the air out through the lid which worked better for me. Thanks again.

Thanks for the layer vid- Can you go over the xtool p2 on how to use it with lightburn settings on the Z axis set up and how you use it, like how to set the Z depth and change the stock size. I can't find anyone that shows this about the Z axis

Audio is fine - just different, but perfectly OK - anyone moaning about that would be way over-critical.
    Nice project.

Thank you. The audio was not up to my standards and while I was able to clean it up, it was still bothering me. However, the project was fun and I wanted to still share it out. Thanks for watching!
