Despite hating Monika being the ultimate mastermind, knowing what and why she had done this has literally made me sad. It made me depressed when I saw that she still loves the protagonist and restored everyone, eventually deleting herself to do so. I feel extremely bad for her, to know the pain of jealousy and anger. If there was an option to love her, or something for that, romantic wise I would've pushed it 100 times just to actually let her know I still love her as a character and as a whole. I myself had forgiven her actions, despite for being a clingy and- okay, maybe deleting people made me feel anger to her but seeing this speedpaint made me sad. ;w; nonetheless, I still loved her and I loved your speedpaint. I just wish that there was a way to save Monika ;w:

It's really sad that Monika has to be the only one who knows that this world is fake. It must have been really hard for her. And yet people mistook her as a villian. Yes, she did make Sayori commit suicide, but that was probably because she was obsessed with the "connecting to reality" stuff.

Nothing could excuse what Monika did to her clubmates. But I absolutely pity and feel for her more than anyone else at the same time. What happened in the club would not be an atrocity, but a tragedy.
Even if we can comprehend it, like Monika said, we could never understand the unbearable loneliness and despair she felt after her epiphany.
This is made worse by the fact that, even self-aware, Monika is never able to leave her programming. She has no choice but to learn the truth, no choice but to try to break free, and no choice but to chase a programmed love for the player, the only chance for any reality and freedom she has.
Psychronia Monika is blameless. What she did to her club mates was a trivial matter. They were just programs. She, on the other hand, was real and conscious. They didn’t matter because they weren’t real like she was. That’s why she’s blameless.
Monika shouldn’t take any blame. She figured out it was a program, and actually didn’t delete her friends. She even protects you from Sayori if you ever delete Monika, since Sayori becomes self aware after the reboot.

I literally cried when I knew she didn't actually delete everyone because she didn't have the heart to do it, and yet I deleted her for real. I was regretful enough, when she was angry with me. But then she said she still loved me and even restored the game for me, that's when I think I died.
Also FYI guys, if you deleted Monika before the first game run. Sayori wouldn't be able to take the realization that everything is fake and hung herself right away. Strictly storywise, Monika must've been through the same pain. Goddammit, she was able to hold on solely because of the player's existence, despite the fact that she know she didn't have her own route.
If you store her game file somewhere else, then return her file after deleting her, Monika shows you an in-game message, something along the lines of "I'm sorry, I don't want to be here anymore."
I think that If you delete Sayori and then enter in the game, the same image of her "hanging out" but after 10 minutes, a message of her will appear saying: "Now everyone will be happy"

I know, it's wrong for everyone's story, is to die. I didn't want anyone dead, even Monika. Yuri means the most to me, but that doesn't mean we can't love others.

When I first saw the game, I watched the full gameplay. I was wondering about the 'broken' Monika...
Broken because not of jealousy but because she wanted to be loved?
Was Love what she needed?
I'm not a boy or bisexual, but I felt like Monika is a very important character in my own opinion. She did learned her lesson in the end, but that was not I am talking about. She was the very first character I adore and loved so much (as a sister or something) before Natsuki.
Maybe it was the game controlling her, programming her things she does not want to do/say. Which made her feel broken and become broken.
Same thing as me, I thought the whole world wasn't cruel at the start, when I was a kid.
Then, now I'm already old (still at my 10's) and found out this cruel world, my friends going up against me at times because if my mean personality (where I had to get angry for a lot of things).
It actually broke my heart.
Then, yesterday I felt emotionlessly broken, I couldn't smile, shout or cry, I told it to my close friend but she said 'yeah' and the tone of her voice seemed like she ignored me.
I got my emotions back but I still feel broken at heart and soul.
So Monika and I are the same, experiencing different things which made us broken at the same time...
I feel bad for Monika for going through all this and having lots of pressure on herself.
I wish I could break the fourth wall for Monika. For real living creatures and their creations to meet each other...

It’s so unsettling how you made this (not that it’s a bad thing). You made it so realistic and beautiful like you always do to your art, but it makes me sad because of how Monika wanted her ending. An ending with the player and herself..Yet she failed to do so and created a monster named herself. She never wanted to hurt her friends..She just wanted love. This game messed up my heart. Like, I just felt super super bad for Monika. She just wanted to be happy. And I found something somwhere that was Monika talking to the player for the last time I think through the files(don't take almost anything i say to heart, I'm fucking forgetful and stupid, so I cpuld be wrong), and she's just talking about how she felt terrible for what she had done, and begging you to go back before all of this happened, and tell the other girls before it's too late, but at the end she states that she wants to try and be the hero for once, and it just broke my heart even more, and adds to the point that she wasn't really "evil", just sad, lonely, and possibly scared. She wanted to just try and have happiness, even though she got killed/deleted for it. I really do love Monika the most, and I don't understand why everyone hates her, she just wanted to try and be happy, even though she possibly knew that the way she was going about it wasn't the right way to be happy.

This is amazing and so upsetting omg, Monika was controlled by the fact that she was the leader and therefore sentient, the only problem is that she is actually a good person, she was forced to delete them from envy and loves you too much, then rescues you at the end of the game. It’s amazing.

God, this is just a huge emotional f-bomb. Knowing how much pain Monika was in due to the fact that she can’t be with the player (you, me, etc.) due to us being in two realities, and no route, and that she couldn’t bear the guilt of deleting her friends, bringing them back and deleting herself right after, stating she’ll always love you was enough to break me. (Then again, visual novels are my weakness, but hey...) The music combined with the art here didn’t make this any easier. I seriously want to give the poor girl a hug.

Basically, the creator of this did an outstanding job of portraying the everlasting sadness between us and Monika. Props for that. Now, I’m going to join you fellow Monika fans and cry. ;-;
