To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.
Just because they survived a wash doesn’t make them waterproof. They are definitely not rated to be waterproof. But I have heard that hey are pretty water resistant. But best not so it intentionally. Water damage is not covered under warranty
I love the EarPods, but it drives me crazy every time I pick them up they tie knots in themselves and it takes me 10 mins to untie them before I can use them 😂

unfortunately there is no way to convert lightning to a 3.5mm headphone jack. The only possible way to use it with your pc is if your pc takes the new usb c. In which case, you can use a lightning to usb c adapter like this one: (amzn.to/2CVdu8s) to plug your earphones in. Otherwise, unfortunately those lightning earpods are only good for iphones.
If you want to pay outrageous prices. If you know what you are doing, it is easy to get good deals on genuine products. Try to buy things with a return policy

John Wrinkles mine lasted like 6 months and considered they are average/decent sound quality and cost like 30 and are free with the phone...not bad
