Exactly. I'm loving the 3 times a week even though this week I haven't been able to work along at all, for example. It feels like having a friend around. Plus it's not like you're not able to watch it back, it's not old school television, isn't it.
I can't tell you how much following you has improved my mental health. I am retired and have come to realize that structure and routine in my life is so important. At first I ignored all that and spent the days engaged in all my hobbies but I found that I got bored and felt aimless, and felt down in the dumps, plus my house was dirty. Now my house is cleaner than it's ever been, and I feel like I have a more balanced life. All play and no work is not the answer. I've been following you since June of 2023 and I am happier now than I've been in a long time.
I can completely identify with your comments. I retired, was “busy” but accomplished nothing until I started following Diane. I am still working on self-care and getting out with friends, but “putting one foot in front of the other” as Diane says. What a relief to find someone on the internet who is truly helpful and not trying to sell things we don’t need but will probably buy anyway. Thank you, Diane. You are a gift.
Today I was following along making dinner as my daughter popped over with a friend and I am enjoying making a meal and catching up with them. It was a quick visit. Self care is making a cup of tea and dreaming of a trip.
I am writing this on Saturday rather than Friday because a good friend passed away yesterday. I wanted to let you know, Diane, that my husband and I are getting through this sad day by sticking to our routines, (including, for me, watching your video) and doing a physical workout for self-care. Your videos do indeed touch people in very profound ways. Thank you, Diane.
Thank you for speaking about balance. It’s also amazing how a 5 minute declutter of something small, like the hair accessory drawer, leads to mornings where we can find what we’re looking for, have a bit more time and be more creative. 💗
Thank you, Diane, for your encouragement and a reminder that 10 minutes can help us accomplish much. I have Chronic Fatigue and those 10 minutes are just what I need. Self-care this week is a cup of tea in bed. Relaxing! Enjoy your weekend!
I also have Chronic Fatigue so totally understand. I went off all gluten and dairy and reduced sugar a few years ago and my health has dramatically improved. It might be worth a try. I am not coeliac, but it has given me a new life. I now can work 2 days a week. This was impossible some years ago. Look after yourself. ❤
Thank you Farner Wife for your helpful suggestions. I have been dairy, gluten, and sugar free for many years which is probably why I haven't gotten worse. After caring for elderly parents for many years, it started. Things are better but still have to be very careful about pacing myself which I can tell you understand. I love this channel for all the caring and concerned followers especially the help from Diane which is why all of us watch.
Used to be in the classroom-We’d always try to remember, “this may be your 10th year teaching 3rd grade, but it’s the childrens’ first time!” We appreciate you going over your plans again and again. You’ve done it so long-but still choose to encourage us as if it’s your 1st time, too! Thank you for that! 😃
I so look forward to the three videos each week. Incredibly grateful...thank you! Who's joining me for a bit of daydreaming and planning of an idyllic fictitious vacation?
I’m thriving! :) I’ve been keeping up my positive affirmations and it makes a world of difference. I can see the how it shifts interactions with others in a positive direction. That truly is self care.
I am going to have a cup of tea every night - I am not a "tea person" but I have a ton of tea that needs to be used! And I will sit and relax and really enjoy the moment.
You are such a wonderful person. I almost wish I had you in my ear 24 hours a day. I love your enthusiasm And energy. I have a hard time with both of those. Please keep up the good work and don't stop reaching out to us. Thank you. I am going to work on positive affirmations.
I realized today I hadn't watched any of your videos in months! So I've corrected that by watching this one. Regarding a self-care project, I am already in the process of choosing "good" glasses, cups and dishes that were previously my China cabinet. I started this practice a few months ago, after we had some painting done. I didn't want to just put our "good" things back in our dining room just to look at them occasionally. So I gave away some delicate crystal that I never use and put some sturdier crystal into our kitchen cabinets so I can use it every day. Thanks for your wonderful videos. You always make me smile!
It's been a very busy week over here and I accomplished less than I had hoped when planning it. But I read recently that "If all you have is 40% but you still put in 40% then you really gave it 100%" and that resonated strongly with me. I am genuinely doing my very best, and I am proud of that. ❤
Hope you don't mind, I am writing on a reply because I could not find how to get on the comments. I really like the schedule of videos and their content they are well organized and presented professionally as well as, personally! They reach right plum into my psyche and resulting in improved mental and physical health. I use them to increase my physical health by increasing my endurance which improves my mental health as well. Thanks so much for giving of yourself! I chose the self affirmations! I got outside and watched the birds visiting my bird feeder! V
I’m playing catch up on watching your videos while I get dressed for the day and do a little cleanup and decluttering. I listen to a lot of productivity/habit formation/motivation podcasts and vlogs, and I have to say I really appreciate your balanced approach. It’s not about getting ALL THE THINGS done, it’s about making progress and enjoying your life. You are a great mentor and example for that. 💙✌🏻
Which self-care missions will you choose for this week - 1, 2, 3 or 4? I'm choosing 1 (my granny's crystals) and 4 (planning a trip with friends). Woo hoo!👋🏻😀 Don’t forget our pact… I am here for you three times each week and you comment on every video. Rah, rah, rah! 🎉🎉🎉
Going out with some friends Monday eve. But I’m very much in the doldrums last couple of wks and can’t seem to shake out of it. I’m in the mids of planning to move back home to the Highlands and the effort of all this seeking and buying a house etc has me just about floored and left me with little energy. Any advice would be much appreciated. Love the new format and watching the videos if not doing stuff! X
I always wear my mums wedding ring and a diamond ring from my last partner ( sadly deceased) . Meeting friend on Monday for a junk shop rummage , then Tuesday having a desk delivered and going out for lunch.... It's a long time since I 'looked forward' to something. Have a lovely week one and all....
Thank you for all of your time, energy, support, and videos. Today the self-care was wearing some jewelry that I rarely wear. It was fun! Looking forward to seeing you this coming week!!! Rah, rah, rah!!
Keeping on track with my household is kinda hard right now because of uni. BUT my self care for today was inviting a friend over for breakfast and a walk in the park in between studying which was great for both of us :)
I enjoy these videos immensely. They help me to stay, or get, back on track with the belief that beautifying our spaces is a love gift to ourselves and to our households.
Love the golden 15minutes. Progress not perfection. Love seeing you three times a week. Thank you for all the motivation. Working along side you. Hubby is now asking what is our flylady focus.❤ for the week. He sees the impact of the system❤❤
I went away last week for work so I’m doing a bit of catch up with your videos while I make dinner. I absolutely love self care #1 and #2. My mother passed away two years ago. I’ve been ‘saving’ the jewellery she gave me to wear for special occasions . You’ve reminded that everyday can be made special. Thanks again!
1. Vintage brooch 2. Positive affirmations; will bundle with bedtime breathing meditation 3. Switching to plain hot water for health improvements 4. Have been inserting new restaurant meals into days with long strings of errands. Sometimes trying a new food for adventure; sometimes just going for cozy comfort food. Beaks up the day with a refreshing second wind.
We’re walking through a family member health crisis right now. My routines, my timer, and self-care ideas have saved my bacon!🤣 Being thankful in all things / seeing the good/ trusting God help me keep a positive outlook for myself and others.❤
I’m choosing positive affirmations, as I can get into a destructive cycle of thinking and so this would help me quite a bit. Loving the 3 uploads per week and getting a lot done in the process. Thank you so much.
I wore my opal ring which is ‘special’ because it is fragile- I’ve had to replace a small opal twice after wearing it. It is a cluster of 8 small beautifully matched opals grouped in a pear shape. I am working on getting the house declutterred and then organized and simplified so it isn’t always hanging over my head like Damocles’ sword. My Brother in law is coming to stay a night or two in 3 weeks, so I have a deadline. My pamper/self-care is to stay in bed in the morning and study my scriptures. It seems so luxurious to do it at that time, and it’s a great start to the day. Thank you for your honesty and support!
In the winter, I enjoy my daily morning cup of coffee snuggled up by the fire watching an episode of the old gothic soap "Dark Shadows." It's my self care for the day!
I’m loving this 3 day setup. Doesn’t take too much of my time and I get so motivated that I can’t help but smile as I’m doing some of them! I think I will do self care 1 and 2 for this week.
So nice to hear you do it for the love and the interaction. I think we all need positive affirmations. But I’m pretty sure everyone watching thinks your great , like I do 🥰
I enjoy seeing all your videos. Love the 3 times a week. Don’t always catch you live, but always watch. Thank you for all the time you put in to be so helpful to your viewers! I will be doing #2 for self care.
I'm doing #2 - saying a positive affirmation as I get up and goi to bed. Today I'm dropping off at the second hand store some decluttered clothes from my closet as well as holiday decor, then I can do a quick tidy of my car. Thank you Diane, you are a treasure. Happy Friday, everyone.
For selfcare I air dried my bedlinnens outside on a sunny and windy day, went to bed early and listened to my audiobook, enjoying the lovely smell that reminds my of spring and summer.
Whew - your self-care mission hits close to home - you've made me cry, Diane! For the past 8 yrs. I was caretaker of my 93-yr old mother with Alzheimer's who passed this summer and I miss her dearly. She was my priority and I didn't make time for myself. Self-care is a new concept I'm trying to wrap my head around these days. Vacations were limited to a swing in the backyard hammock while she took her afternoon nap, gardening, watching the hummingbirds at the feeders, and enjoying an occasional evening glass of wine with my husband in front of our bubbling fountain. I learned years ago to "create a life I didn't need a vacation from" because I had no other choice. Thanks for your suggestions, I'll try all four. 👍
I appreciate the new schedule Diane. My daughter had an injury two days ago and I have been worrying, so it is good to just listen in today and not worry for a few minutes.
Hi, Diane, thank you for another super video. I have been watching you regularly the past month to give me joy and inspiration. I am recovering from a long bout of stress and do not have a lot of energy but I have bought myself the cutest timer and am having fun trying it out while I declutter. The house, as you can imagine, has fallen into chaos, while I have been ill, but I am determined to get back on track and like you, I want to minimalise my life. So I'm sorting out all the things I am hoarding and sending them to charity. Go me! 🎉
The idea of 10 minutes to tidy or fold laundry etc is so powerful for my productivity! A self care routine I do is a decaf coffee and shortbread cookie every afternoon when I get home from work. Love your videos!!
Positive affirmation: 'spend time with people you love' ...well that's 3 times a week sorted at least, watching your videos is a positive affirmation every time. ❤ 😊
I woke up this morning and immediately noticed how much cleaner my bedroom is. This motivated me to "grab a rag" and spend an extra 10 minutes dusting a different room to maintain. For this week's self-care, I will reacquaint myself with my jewelry box and read notes I saved on a previous vacation while sampling musicians I learned of while visiting. This way I can declutter my phone while reliving past vacations. I I'm not a tea drinker, but I do enjoy an herbal tea in the winter. Highly recommend Celestial Seasonings Ginger and Probiotics tea. No sugar needed.
I will incorporate my grandmother's locket into this week's wardrobe. I have forgotten about it, even though I see it daily, hanging with the jewelry! Love the trip planning idea, too, time permitting. Thank you for pushing us to create a better life; I would not be doing as much without you, Diane! 💕
I struggle with consistency and it’s so helpful to have someone in my life who keeps showing up, in your case- three times a week! I’ll try and wear something special today! ☺️
I agree. I’m luvin’ the declutter, clean, and self care 3 times a week videos. For self care, I’m going to enjoy a slow morning with hot apple cider. I ended up having to go out 4 out of 5 days so far and I’m ready to be home without worrying about going out and getting errands done.
After a busy week, I decided to make Friday a self care day. I rested, gave myself a pedicure and did some reading. I generally don’t take much time for self care so it was a welcome change to take the majority of the day just for me. Thanks for the encouragement to think about ourselves too. LLAP 🖖
Diane, please know we are so thankful for all of your advice, for I am sure all of our lives are better now, a little bit of everything. Work, meeting friends, hobbies there is a way of fitting things in. My husband brings me a cup of tea in bed a couple of mornings a week. It's wonderful.
I so appreciate you and all you give of your time and talents. We are on a period of grievong and the comforting sound of your voice, along with the routines and encouragement are a great help.
I love the 3 days a week platform. When I need inspiration, I do look at some of your earlier videos, there are so many to choose from. And thank you for reminding us to do something pleasurable for ourselves ❤
Dear Diane, thank you so much for your videos. I had a packed week and thought I would only do my routines and the weekly home blessing. Your cleaning video gave me so much motivation, I cleaned out my nightstand, dusted the ceilings, dusted the skirting board and wash my windows in the bedroom. I have been following you for many years and you are the one who help me let go of my perfectionism 💖 By now I’m able to get something done, even if it’s not perfect! You are the best! Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Hi Diane It is heartening to feel that you think of us when you make these videos, a thought that so many are benefiting out of this hardwork of yours in making vid for us. Really grateful. Your videos are something i look forward to and help me make my home a better place each day
Your videos always make me smile. This week I am going to wear my grandmothers ring. I have felt a little strange about wearing it since she recently passed. However, you have made me realize I should wear it proudly and honor her memory. Thank you.
I tidied my kitchen from things I couldn't do yesterday and made breakfast while doing this. I didn't feel it before, but while listening to your video,it was easier for me!❤ I'll bei planing a vacation for selfcare! I always wanted to go to Bali with hubby. This will be my daydream for today!
Thanks Diane. Simple and steady is very doable. 10 minutes is hard to stick with because I want the whole thing over and done in a day. But realistically that’s impossible and working with you has helped me make the mind shift.
I keep trying to be a person who takes care of every detail. 10 minutes is good enough. You are correct that it makes me lose that balance especially because I continue to out all tasks ahead of self care.
I love so much that you are using the word "thrive" so often. Weeks ago, I chose this word as my word of the year. I declared "I've been in survival mode for years, and I will thrive now". This repeated use of my word by you has been such a happy coincidence.
I look forward to your videos every week. Thank you for your continued guidance and encouragement. I will wear my beloved late mother's pearl ring tomorrow.
You are by far my favorite on TH-cam! Thank you for taking the time to help so many of us! I struggle to come up with self care ideas, your tips are most helpful. I will plan to wear an heirloom, a necklace passed down from my Dear Grandma. Thank you!
As usual, thank you so much Diane! I have to express such gratitude, I kept saying your words this week.. you don’t have to want to do it you just have to do it!.. I’ve got so much accomplished, in just a few short minutes! I’ve so enjoyed this 3x per week… and yes! I polished off a silver bracelet that was in my jewelry box that I hav worn in years! I wore it yesterday! And I had a hot cup of coffee this morning!..👍❤️
I’m loving the whole thing. You are such a kind person and an inspiration for me. I’m sitting here on Saturday morning with my cup of tea and my little dog is on the sofa with me. We had a longer walk this morning and this afternoon I’m changing and cleaning the spare bedroom. My friend is coming tomorrow and she’ll having Sunday dinner and stay over. It’ll be fun for us both. She’ll enjoy the break as she’s getting ready to move house in a couple of weeks. I’m grateful for the inspiration and support that I get from you. This evening I will get out a big necklace and wear it. I rarely do that in winter as I wear high neck tops but it will be fun to wear one. I have made jewellery and collected nice jewellery for years but hardly wear any
Get rid of the self-doubt about your videos. They are just fun, but also inspiring. And they just make me feel good. Well done!!! And thanks for all you do. It's very helpful.
So lovely, thank you!!! I will be having a cup of tea in bed while I read cosy crime: thank you so much as always, Diane! Hope everyone is having a lovely, hygge weekend. xx
This weekend I plan to stay in bed a little longer with a cup of coffee...can't wait! AND while I'm enjoying my hot drink I'll imagine which fancy hotel that I'm vacationing in🏩🏨🌴🌴😎😎
Thank you for showing up. Really enjoying the series. My focus word this year was also simplify. Been thinking of this while cleaning and de-cluttering. The less you have , the less you have to upkeep. My why to simplify is to have more fun. More self care and more balance. Today I am finishing off my bedroom with a final declutter and window shine.
I am thriving! I’m loving your new format as I find it keeps me accountable. For me this week, I’m going to try #1 as I have inherited jewelry from both grandmothers and mother. Why wait for another day? Today is special!
Diane, I love your authenticity and vulnerability. Thank you for being YOU. I am having the best time following your schedule and getting things done whether my bahookie wants to or not. I have chosen self-care items 1 and 3. I will wear some of my heirloom jewelry this coming week and have tea in bed. What lovely ideas! I have been engaged in morning readings/positive affirmations for several years and, yes, they make a difference in my life. As for planning a vacation, I am always daydreaming about going to several places in Europe, Portugal, Spain and places in the U.S. I have never visited. So fun!!!🎉❤
Thank you again. I like the videos three times a week. I’m busy the other days so it helps me not feel so overwhelmed. I got a lot done this week just in those short 10 minutes. Very helpful. Thanks again😁
I am watching yorur videos of this last week today. I was busy giving our house an all over checkup for we left on Friday on a trip to northern Sweden. We are near Kiruna right now, having a lot of hygge time in the snow. Thank you for your sunny personality, and knowing I have my home under control makes this vacation more enjoyable.
I'm 12 days late watching this video but I'm keeping my promise and watching. I'm even watching on the TV but making sure I leave a comment on my phone. Your videos motivate me to keep going! A little bit at a time gets the job done!!
This was so inspiring for me. Found out I have pneumonia as a complication of the flu this week and may have to go into the hospital for IV antibiotics. This is very hard news because it is how my mother died. But it doesn't have to be my story. My self care this week will be: #2: mantra- "I am getting stronger and healthier each day" - I've been saying this each morning for the past two days. #1 - I am wearing a very pretty "special" shell under my pajamas - which I've lived in lately, and #4 I'm planning a cozy cabin vacation - for real! with my hubby for Valentine's Day.
Love the idea of planning a "fantasy" holiday! I'm going to have fun with that one! But I really don't have any desire to go on a vacation. I agree with you that trying to live your life "as if" you are on holiday is the key to finding happiness. I like traveling around and seeing new sights, but I'm always happy to get home and get back into my comforting routines!
I really enjoy the three videos format. It keeps me on track. Your self care ideas were great. I removed two dresses from my wardrobe that I wasn’t wearing ,because I didn’t like the neck shape , made a cup of coffee and cut and sewed them into skirts ,which I will now wear. That definitely made me feel better.
Coffee in bed in the morning and I am going to start a new habit..a positive affirmation to start the day on a positive note. I am really enjoying seeing you 3x a week! The videos everyday in Dec up to Christmas really spoiled me.
I love your cheeer calm approach, Diane. You make it all feel so doable and that it will all be all OK. I love your emphasis on balance and self care and fun. Thank you so much! :) ❤
I so admire the fact that you’re not sponsored and don’t promote products. You are totally authentic, kind and generous - a gem of a human being.
I agree! It shows Ms. Diane does this from the heart which is why i always give a thumbs up and watch the commercial in the beginning
Absolute truth! Well said!
You are special in many ways! This new format lets your “light” shine!!
Totally agree!
Agreed! Diane is very authentic ❤
Diane, I appreciate whenever you put out the videos.
Let's just be grateful ladies to Diane for given her time to us. 😊❤
You are so kind, Susan - thank you for that!
Exactly. I'm loving the 3 times a week even though this week I haven't been able to work along at all, for example. It feels like having a friend around. Plus it's not like you're not able to watch it back, it's not old school television, isn't it.
amen to that
Your videos are fabulous! Thank you. You are making a difference in many peoples lives.❤
Yes!

🌷 We don't care if you've just rolled out of bed... we're always happy to see you!
Trouble is, when I roll out of bed I look like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards! Diane looks like she's come off a photo shoot for Vogue..🤣
Thank you for cheering us on and working along side with us! I will be doing self care number 2 this week!
I am writing this on Saturday rather than Friday because a good friend passed away yesterday. Farmer wife. You take care as well.
I sat with a cup of tea and my crochet to listen to this video. I’ll continue for a bit and plan a lovely vacation.
Used to be in the classroom-We’d always try to remember, “this may be your 10th year teaching 3rd grade, but it’s the childrens’ first time!” We appreciate you going over your plans again and again. You’re absolutely right…it’s about the interpersonal connections, not things! Thanks again Diane.
I so look forward to the three videos each week. Incredibly grateful...thank you! Who's joining me for a bit of daydreaming and planning of an idyllic fictitious vacation?

I’m going to wear a silver necklace that my mum gave me yonks ago but I found it as I was going through my jewellery! Xx
Number 4 and I wil go
to Berlin and on my own, by train. 😀🙏
Oh I'm going to wear some of my grandmother's jewelry to church this Sunday!

2. Positive affirmations; will bundle with bedtime breathing meditation
3. Switching to plain hot water for health improvements
4. Have been inserting new restaurant meals into days with long strings of errands. Sometimes trying a new food for adventure; sometimes just going for cozy comfort food. Beaks up the day with a refreshing second wind.
We’re walking through a family member health crisis right now. My routines, my timer, and self-care ideas have saved my bacon!🤣
Being thankful in all things / seeing the good/ trusting God help me keep a positive outlook for myself and others.❤
I definitely benefit from your videos (iteraction) with me Dianne. Thank you for your wonderful content.
Look forward to these days
Thank you for the motivation
Many thanks, Brittanny - I look forward to chatting with you too!
I agree
Lately I fell off the wagon and every time I do that, I come back to watch your videos and then I get on task again! Thanks for your help!
A scaled down wardrobe of clothes is so freeing. Have a good weekend everyone and thank you Diane for gently helping us all to get there. x
Hope your daughter is soon on the mend, Diane! 🙏😊
Thank you Diane@@DianeinDenmark
Diane, I truly love watching your videos. No judgement here, only admiration. Keep the inspiration coming. 😊
Go me! 🎉
Two years since my dad died today but I found comfort from your cheery message. Thank you
The idea of 10 minutes to tidy or fold laundry etc is so powerful for my productivity!
Number 2 - like everyone the self care tends to get forgotten- thank you for the suggestion ❤
I agree. I’m luvin’ the declutter, clean, and self care 3 times a week videos. For self care, I’m going to enjoy a slow morning with hot apple cider. I ended up having to go out 4 out of 5 days so far and I’m ready to be home without worrying about going out and getting errands done.
I choose to wear my late mother’s pearl necklace and brooch.. and it was really nice to have her memory close 💞
I chose to enjoy a cup of tea while watching some Netflix while doing some knitting with my cat on my lap.
You are so right. Balance is the key . Without that you will not be consistent .
After a busy week, I decided to make Friday a self care day. I rested, gave myself a pedicure and did some reading. I generally don’t take much time for self care so it was a welcome change to take the majority of the day just for me. Thanks for the encouragement to think about ourselves too. LLAP 🖖
Thanks for keeping me company while I washed the dishes. Planning a vacation to anywhere the sun is shining
The way you have simplified your videos is so encouraging for us to simplify and have more balance in our lives. ☺️
Diane, please know we are so thankful for all of your advice, for I am sure all of our lives are better now, a little bit of everything. Work, meeting friends, hobbies there is a way of fitting things in.
My husband brings me a cup of tea in bed a couple of mornings a week. It's wonderful.
I am loving the 3 treasures a week that you send out
Thriving on them. I thank you 🌿
I so appreciate you and all you give of your time and talents.
I have been following you for many years and you are the one who help me let go of my perfectionism 💖
By now I’m able to get something done, even if it’s not perfect!
You are the best!
Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
🎉🎉 15:49 Create a life that you don't need a vacation from!!!!!!🎉🎉wonderful affirmation!
I am ready to sit back and read a bit with a cup of tea and we are in the process of planning a short vacation with my dad who is 88 years old. 😀
Hi Diane
It is heartening to feel that you think of us when you make these videos, a thought that so many are benefiting out of this hardwork of yours in making vid for us. Really grateful. Your videos are something i look forward to and help me make my home a better place each day
I got off my bahoochie watching this and started cleaning the kitchen
Your videos always make me smile. This week I am going to wear my grandmothers ring. I have felt a little strange about wearing it since she recently passed. However, you have made me realize I should wear it proudly and honor her memory. Thank you.
I’m glad you mentioned your past videos. I hadn’t thought about going back and watching them, I will now.
Thank you Diane! You get me right into a proper mood to clean and organize, when I feel so tired with no sunny weather and rain!❤️
I like the new schedule even though I don't always watch the videos right away. I love that there are videos waiting for me as I have the time
I love so much that you are using the word "thrive" so often.
I'm watching on Saturday, whilst preparing our dinner. That's because I had a busy Friday yesterday.
I'm going to ensure I wear my jewellery.
I got my dishes done before the video finished! I’ll wear a hat my grandmother knitted. I just found it tucked away.
#2&3. Monsoonal rains here - just right for a cup of tea and a book.
Self care mission that I’m choosing is to plan a trip and positive affirmations.
