@AlyArt not related to this topic but I just watched a video on Queen Elizabeth Ist 's toxic makeup and you were shown on the video at the 8 minute mark. th-cam.com/video/CURLWPCxe-c/w-d-xo.html You can be seen at 8:07 to be more specific.
In my effort to look more "adult," I started dressing like a Classic & I couldn't figure out why I looked and felt so... wrong. Learning I'm a gamine has explained everything. It's amazing how my old style I worried was childish (tousled hair, clumpy lashes, bright playful clothing, etc) is what actually showed off my true beauty. Thank you Aly for saving my wardrobe and self-esteem!!
Same. Always when I tried modern clean office outfits I looked so weird like a child playing dressing up despite being in my late 20s 😂Well fitting cardigans are best and blouses with nice little details :)
Can relate! My mom is a dramatic classic (I’m about 60-70% sure) and I used to wear her very simple and straight-lined hand me downs for a long time. Now I’m revamping my wardrobe and plan to add more colorful, interesting and rounded pieces as a soft gamine.
Hard relate! In my 20's, I wanted to be taken more seriously, and dressed in classic lines. It was so hard to find things which fit properly; they would be too long and straight. In my 30's, I dressed more in romantic lines. Although it fit better, there was always something too soft and too mature about it. In my 40's I discovered I am soft gamine, and that I had been dressing as if in costume. I wish I would've known this earlier. At least I'm embracing the youthfulness, and having much more fun dressing within my lines. I can now take it as a compliment when someone calls me cute :)
1. As a soft gamine, I never looked good with nude lips 😂 A wash of colour is always better. 2. Clumpy mascara is definitely the key. 3. Now I know how to do my crease. Thanks a lot!
I love you’re inclusion of different coloured women here, from blonde to brunette to dark skinned. It really helps give a clearer picture with diversity
All those years TH-camrs told us to blend our eyeshadows like hell, little did we knew that it wasn't always right! I always thought of why some people looked amazing with more defined eyeshadow shape, got the answer today... I respect you from the core of my heart to direct us to the correct way of makeup and styling... Really grateful to you Aly..
crisp brows, a defined crease, a lot of mascara, blush on the apples of cheeks and nose!!, a nude/dusty rose matte-ish lip - my go-to makeup as a soft gamine
I think it's so interesting how i did most of this already and thought it looked best on me before I even knew I was a soft gamine . I always wondered why super blended looks look weird on me, now i know lol thank you so much Aly!! ♥
SG, yay! Nowadays motto is "blend, blend, blend", but I knew already it wasn't for me, it ages me and makes me look tired. Thanks for the tips, I'll try some soon. xo
What a game changer! Because my eyes are hooded, I was always scared of chunky eyeliner and heavy lashes. But the effect is amazing. I tried it even without any foundation and it looks striking with a bold red lip. Also, the more defined crease, and bronzer in rounded motion line works wonders. Thanks so much!
Soft gamines look especially bad with pale lips. They already have very prominent eyes and adding some color to the lips just makes the face much brighter and 'awake,' while focusing just on the eyes makes them look older and emphasizes the features that they might dislike (maybe that angularity of the chin)
@@nickn2794 I am a soft gamine myself and I find that even a wash of red color on my lips (like blotted lips) instantly makes me look so much better. Nude lips make me look so tired, especially paired with bold eyes. Usually I go for eyebrows+lips look, which is clearly one of the best ones for SG even judging from those celebrity pictures
@@kiirolicht I had the same problem for years! And then I put a red lipstick on, just on a whim, and it completely changed my perspective. I have severe dark circles all the time and just putting a red lipstick (I usually put a very thin layer of satin red lipstick on) transforms my face completely, making the complexion more even. And then I use some concealer under my eyes and shape eyebrows with tinted eyebrow gel, that's all it takes. I have a Pinterest board full of inspiration pictures for Soft Gamine and other body types, you can take a look if you want Alexandraua0067, see Style, Outfit ideas, Hairspiration and Makeup boards
I’m a soft gamine and the crisp, and the chunky eyeliner and slightly clumpy lashes is my go to look and now I get why! I really appreciated the variety of the examples of celebrities of different colors and ages. It would be really nice to see some more examples of people of the different body types who are plus sized, I understand that ones type doesn’t depend on weight or size but it can hard to see when the examples are all very, very slender!
You know, I look off that way, too, but I kind of figured how to do it! Do the brows a bit darker since the eyes gotta be natural and unlined... and do a little blush of lip colour, like your preffered nude but less muted. Pink or purple or red, even, depending on what matches your undertone. The Korean blushed gradient lip looks great with this, and it's a good way to make dramatic colours wearable... then some blush if you want, highlighter if you want, and done! SG glossier style! I wear this most days!
Amrita Ramesh ooooh i do similar look as that (mix Korean makeup and western makeup) but just normal eyebrows. I’ll try darkening it a bit (: thanks for the tip
Hell yes! The Jenna Coleman pictures were my revelation. Trying to keep it 'natual', I pick transparent colors, blend too much, aaand look bleh. Big liner saves it somewhat, but now I understand why I, former make up junkie, mostly stopped using eyeshadow. The 'subtle and natural' intention didn't work, because it lacked crispness. But now, I got ideas again! ^^ Thank you Alyona
I had struggled with finding my kibbe type for long but now realizing I’m a soft gamine has changed my whole appearance! And the contrast point makes such a difference! Thank you so much💗
Aly, you’ve helped me SO MUCH to see myself as I am and accept me, and see beauty in me and in every woman, thank you so much, you’re my hero and you’re A GENIUS!!!! Ahhhh, hugs from another soft gamine :)
Like many others, I finally understand why my soft features disappears when I try to make things look natural and seamless. I simply don't have the dramatic features to go "natural" (being East Asian and all that, sigh). Since I don't have large beautiful eyes to do enhancing make up on, I can only do my lips and eyebrows. Although, I'm thinking of balancing up my lack of large and open eyes by using glasses to at least frame the eye area.
Yes! Finally!😃 Shame I love shimmer and "soft focus" makeup. But on the other hand, I like that I've never looked like a clown with heavy eyes and lips that makeup artists always warn against.
@Kellie Gallagher Yes, maybe it's naive of me to have my real profile photo, but I mainly use this account on beauty channels where being able to see my coloring and features might be relevant when I interact with beauty YTbers.
Yay! Been waiting for soft gamine, which I am! I always wondered why I looked so dowdy with romantic type makeup, because it's kind of assumed to be universally flattering.... but yeah, it always made me look tired and sort of grubby. I always need something a bit extra in shape or colour, otherwise I can look weirdly ashy or dirty in makeup that's"too blended". Great sum up of soft gamine makeup! Definitely solidifies my own style! Thank you! You look chic as always
This video has confused me now, I was pretty sure I was theatrical romantic but this is generally how I do my makeup and I find crisp shapes and thick lashes suit me better. I'll compare it with the theatrical romantic one when you release it so I can be sure. Thank you so much for your helpful content!!
@@monnniiieee9130 I've watched that one too and it helped a little bit but I take some things from both types (clothing, bone structure etc.) so I'm still a bit confused. From her video I was a little bit more sure that I was theatrical romantic but every new video I watch about it has me questioning...loooool
@@stylespruce I'm watching your channel, it's difficult to understand because you have full makeup and I can't see your fullbody. Usually romantics have small hands (R wide, TR narrow, but still small), you don't seem to have them, but that might be an exception, because no one is 100% a type. You don't have softness in cheeks and sharp nose, so I'm almost sure you're not SG. I noticed that makeup looks a bit too much on you. You have soft nose, big eyes, big lips, you seem to have small shoulders but not rounded, and bigger than pure Romantic or Gamines, you seem busty, Gamines are not busty usually. But TRs are. My tip? Try the same combination of colours in the video you have in your channel BUT not matte, I think it's too heavy on you. TRs don't look good with matte. So, no matte lipstick, but red glossy lipstick (satinated), no black matte eyeshadow, but black shimmer eyeshadow. Still blended, not over the top things. No cakey foundation, but liquid/BB cream maybe, with the luminizer. Wet face/glowing effect looks amazing on TR, and it's super trendy. We are lucky 'cause shimmer and gloss is going back on trend. In other words, Christina Aguilera lol. Try that. Also try ornate things. Also try pastel colours, if you look like a clown with them it's almost sure you're TR.
this just seems closer to my body type ! Jenna Ortega is Flamboyant Gamine and so many people say I look like her, but with more roundness and wideness. This seems to fit me!
@@nnbeauty thank you, i've seen all her videos but as a soft classic i still did not understand what hair style looks the best on me, it would be amazing if she showes us on her self how to style our hair so we understand better ❤️❤️
Finally I found my shape lol I used to do heavy eyeliners all the time, cat wing, big and chunky and Ruby Woo was my GO TO lipstick during university! I would always wear it :)
AWESOME!!! If I had any doubts about being a soft gamine, they are gone. I have Asian eyes, so I do more a sweet straight eye look, highlighting their sharpness.
In the past, you have mentioned that you are not a hairdresser, are you a trained makeup artist? Or, do you have a background in theatrical makeup? You know so much and are so helpful, I appreciate all I have learned from you--either you just have a knack for makeup/hair or maybe are completely self-taught. What a talented person you are--and such a delight to listen to--wonderful communication skills and presence. A special thank you for not constantly saying "you guys" and " hi guys" which most you-tubers do CONSTANTLY and it's so annoying.
Have been waiting for this and find it WEIRD that that’s how I do my make up anyways but with REALLY thick eyeliner. In fact, I don’t feel myself without the eyeliner! Thanks for this series 😘
Hey, can you a video on business/CEO outfits for romantic and yin heavy types? It's difficult to find jackets and blazers that look strong and look good for yin types.
One deciding factor for me going between TR and SG. I look terrible in glimmery frosty colors. Matte suits me. so do bright colors and vibrant hair color. SG am I!!
Out of all Kibbe make-up looks, SG make-up looks best on me (good brows, loads of mascara, eyeliner, and crisp lips...no eyeshadow, very minimal shimmer). I have a full ‘baby face’ and a slightly larger head. Even with jewelry, I look best with rounded studs or clusters, on the ears or a slight dangle. Now...the only thing is, I don’t have a short vertical line! I’m 5’5 and I look very average height, not petite. My bone structure is quite narrow, but I get very fleshy and widen with weight gain. So Idk....
>1 view•Nov 16, 2019 Oh my god, I'm the first one to see it, this feels so special! I had to run and brag to my boyfriend immediately :D Soft Gamines are such an amazing type, I'm Gamine but I wish I had that super cute look and could pull off doll-like clothes. Instead I'm just sitting here in a breton top and graphic eyeliner like everyday :))
Hey Ellen! If you are a Gamine - they are actually very similar - you can always try some SG lines or tips for makeup as well, if that's just one or 2 elements it can really fit you. Only if that's over the top - that can look separate from you ))) Say hi to your boyfriend and thank you once again for your support!
@@AlyArt I do try things from SG and FG, in fact it's a bit confusing since I have a completely SG bodytype shaped like a starfish with tiny hands+feet and thick middle, but my face is very boyish like an FG without the large eyes, I have small eyes but I still get IDed for alcohol at stores when the drinking age is 20 and I am 30 :) so, SG clothes make my face look like a boy dressing up in drag, but FG clothes can make me look like a child dressing in adult clothes! The very classic Gamine type clothes always work though. However, I followed your tutorial for smokey FG makeup today and felt amazing! I'd always tried to elongate my round eyes but making them even rounder is perfect!
I'm soft gamine, but I really like dressing androgynously. Unfortunately my body type is really feminine so that makes it really hard. Does anyone have any tips?
I don't know what you mean exactly by androgynous (whether you actually want to look like a boy/genderless, or you just like menswear as a style) but if the latter, wear tailored suits over tight tops in a contrasting color or try cargo pants with tight tops. (I do not think it is a great idea to hide your curves, because if you do that, you might look bulky or even fattish. )
SG shouldn’t have too hard a time pulling off androgyny if they’re on the petite and thin side but it’s very difficult for those that tilt closer to the romantic side. Remember they’re romantic and gamines.
Thanks a lot 💕 I also wanted to say thank you, incase you didn’t read my comment already, I am the girl you said that looks a bit like Nathalie Portman in Leon 🌸
makes sense... i dyed my hair blonde (naturally dark haired) . i looked pretty bad . i looked like a little boy... mind you i had a buzz cut. makes sense...ill never go light again lol thank you aly!
Since finding out your type is really confusing, I'm pretty sure the best way is just to look at the make-up and see which look best suits you. Because I thought I was a TR... BUT I love wearing sixties mod style a la The Knack and How to Get It.. make-up and clothes, and that make-up definitely suits me best & I see this is what SG wears... So...
Mod is actually better suited for FG and figuring out your Image ID by makeup is not the way to go. It should be one of the finishing touches, not the starting point.
❤️ For some reason I am all about soft :)) soft summer , soft gamine ... Thank you Alyona . The make up is amazing it matches you very good , even the lip colour is my go to colour. I wish you Happy Holidays!
Im SN, my mother is SG, both winters. She looks great in liquid eye liner and bright Fucsia! in her lips. I look horrible. For me is better mascara and red Lips and the "sunkissed" look. We have the "same face" but she has delicate facial Bones and i have very prominant. She looks great with a pixie cut and i need long and voluminous hair couse my head is very small. LOVE you aly
I have a big event coming up and wasn't sure what kind of make up I should do... But then you posted this video and saved the day again haha :D Thank you so much for the work that you put into your videos. Your body type series have helped me so much!
In the Facebookgroup " strictly kibbe for beginners", David Kibbe writes with the account of his wife Susan Slavin. You can follow the exercises to determine your type. It will take some time, but it's the only way to really know what you are, besides consulting Mr Kibbe.
What ISN'T gamine-like on my body: I'm quite tall (1,72cm) Also my legs are long My lips are normal vor even slightly thin The rest would fit the soft gamine label. Am I a soft gamine anyways vor what would you think? Btw that type oft make-up is what fits me the most. Also I look best in a line dresses such as fittest sleeves and I also think fitted collars look better. Plus I look really weird if my waist is "hidden", like, it looks best if I emphasise it
Soft gamines are the smallest type typically, so having a longer line would exclude you from being that type (or any of the gamines). You can learn more on the Facebook site strictly kibbe for beginners. David Kibbe writes there under the name of his wife, Susan Slavin. The yang dominant types can be any height, the yin dominant types can not.
Yes, watch Merriamstyle videos. There are at leats 2 of them showing that gamines don't have to actually be short. It's all about vertical line (proportions) and not the height itself.
Yes, I actually watched Merriams videos before. Consindering Thema, I'd confirm that I am a soft gamine. I am really thin actually but my cheeks seem almost chubby because oft the fleshiness which suits the description. Also the flesh on my body looks like a soft gamine type. So I guess my height is a single factor that doesn't fit the type but my father is almost two meters tall, how would I be a petite 1,60m woman?
@@igdute merriam styles is not david kibbe, you get that? Just because she said gamines can be any height, does not mean, its true. (It is not! I am quite a time in the group now with mr kibbe and I guarantee you, that merriam styles has little clue and wants to be a soft gamine herwelf, despite being soemthing else. She just wants to be a gamine, but is not. Gamines can not be tall. They are always 50 percent yin, 50 percent yang with a little more yin (soft gamine) or a little more yang(flamboyant gamine). David kibbe does not take the test to verify anyones type, nor does he recommend doing that. Join the group, learn, why merriamstyles is so, so wrong with her Interpretation (no wonder she has renamed everything, it had nothing to do with the work of David kibbe) and why would you want to be a certain type? You are what you are, with kibbe its about exploring and revealing the authentic true self. You could be a smaller soft dramatic or flamboyant natural (have you seen how small Sarah Jessica Parker is? She is fn) but your desire to be another type could lead you to still dress like a theatrical romantic- so despite being small there could be some things off with the small detailes, especially at headlevel - but would you look your best that way? Or anyone? How do you look with ultrashort hair? Its nothing bad with being a natural or classic, rather the contrary style and appearance wise.
I have a teeth problem who gave me as long midface, but I'm also skinny as hell. So I'm a really strange soft gamine. I can't compare to all these round doll faces as a soft gamine, I feel more like a dinosaur soft gamine! Anyway, could you speak about the problem of having a particular kibbe body type but a face which is more like another kibbe body type?
Question : I’m a soft gamine but light spring… what color make up to choose as ligth pale and luminouse color is good for my color type bit not for my kibbe boddy type ? Thanks a lot for all your video ! It helped me a lot to like myself as a soft gamine ! 💜
You are such a wonderful person. You put so much work in these videos to share knlowledge with us that lets us truely appreciate beauty in so many different shapes. Thank you for changing my way of seeing people! That being said I have two questions (to aly and the community): Is it possible to be a classic with a gamine face? I know that the face sometimes does not match the body. but I feel like a classic face is a necessity for a classic. Any thoughts? Is it possible to be a soft dramatic if people perceive you as small and dainty? I struggle with the following: if I look at pictures of myself in a swimsuit I see primarily yang bones (in my body, not my face) with a bit of flesh on top. But at the same time people tell me, that I look dainty. So am I an exceptionally small soft dramatic or should I reconsider my selfperception? :D Tips would be great!
Does anyone know the actress who is in the first left of the slide? I’ve seen her before, I just don’t know her name. By body is almost identical to hers!
My body is similar to Halle Berry but I don't have a button or cute nose. It's very manly. I have a long straight bridge and my nose sticks out pretty far. It's also wide. Okay, I have a house sitting in the middle of my face lol. Everything else on the face is similar though... goiter eyes, small mouth, etc. So, am I still a soft gamine or something else?
i am soft gamine and i constantly elongate my eyeliner, what i do is make it a little chunky still (trying not to go to overboard and editorial looking for everyday wear but honestly when i do my entire mobile eyelid it looks amazing)
also my eyes are a little far apart so i draw a small triangle as to make the inner tear duct part bigger than it actually is, that often completes the whole look
I'm so confused because I think my body type is a dramatic classic (small frame, not very curvy at all, looks slightly tall, long arms, legs, and fingers) but my face is very soft and I have very rounded features for the most part that make me look kinda young for my age... so am I watching the right video??

No cakey foundation, but liquid/BB cream maybe, with the luminizer. Wet face/glowing effect looks amazing on TR, and it's super trendy. We are lucky 'cause shimmer and gloss is going back on trend. In other words, Christina Aguilera lol. Try that. Also try ornate things. Also try pastel colours, if you look like a clown with them it's almost sure you're TR.
@@nickn2794 thank u very much! i also struggle to distinguish if i am a tr or a sg...
this just seems closer to my body type ! Jenna Ortega is Flamboyant Gamine and so many people say I look like her, but with more roundness and wideness. This seems to fit me!
Aly can you please do a similair serie about HAIR for the body types pleasssse❤️
Meriem mimi here! th-cam.com/video/r0zMEA5qaiw/w-d-xo.html
@@nnbeauty thank you, i've seen all her videos but as a soft classic i still did not understand what hair style looks the best on me, it would be amazing if she showes us on her self how to style our hair so we understand better ❤️❤️
@@meriemmimi104 Aly styling her hair the way it suits a Soft Classic woman wouldn't work because she doesn't have the same features.
@@silverroxen2954 Just like makeup no ?
@@jasmeen5712 Yeah you saw she contoured her face for the other videos to look more like the bone structure for the other types.
Finally I found my shape lol I used to do heavy eyeliners all the time, cat wing, big and chunky and Ruby Woo was my GO TO lipstick during university! I would always wear it :)
This is my daily as well😂 I feel seen!
Another (Kibbe verified) SG that does that 40s/50s red lip and heavy eyeliner and mascara is Natalie Wood.
SG am I!!
You loook amaaaazing you really do look like a doll😍, super hyped for the theatrical romantic
Love your videos! ❤❤
Can you please make a video about wedding dresses for each body type?😊
Wedding dresses, yes please! 😀
this is literally my everyday makeup look that looks good on me!!! and im a soft gamine. spot on!
Absolutely fantastic! I was recently recommended your channel and I couldn't be happier about it. Do you ever offer viewer analysis? xx
So Idk....

Oh my god, I'm the first one to see it, this feels so special!
This make so much sense to me! I already did a lot of this from my own experience, but now I understand so much better. Thank you ♡
I'm soft gamine, but I really like dressing androgynously.
(I do not think it is a great idea to hide your curves, because if you do that, you might look bulky or even fattish. )
Eperke I like looking more genderless, but still flamboyantly. Thank you for the tips! :)
SG shouldn’t have too hard a time pulling off androgyny if they’re on the petite and thin side but it’s very difficult for those that tilt closer to the romantic side. Remember they’re romantic and gamines.
Hii I would try high wasted jeans + and peter pan collars😊
i love your videos so much. i'm just realizing why doing eyeshadow always felt so "wrong" to me whenever i tried to follow a "normal" trendy tutorial
Can u do a series where u take photo submissions and classify your subscriber's body types? That would be so cool
Thanks a lot 💕 I also wanted to say thank you, incase you didn’t read my comment already, I am the girl you said that looks a bit like Nathalie Portman in Leon 🌸
Please do theatrical romantic
That's next I believe ☺️
The next
This is literally life-changing
I've been waiting for this I guess already 6 months!!!! FINALLY!!!! 🤩🤩🤓🤓💖👏👏👏
Still come back to this video after all these years ❤✨ Thank you!
Great video! Can't wait for Soft Classic 😄
makes sense... i dyed my hair blonde (naturally dark haired) . i looked pretty bad . i looked like a little boy... mind you i had a buzz cut. makes sense...ill never go light again lol thank you aly!
ive been trying so hard to figure out if im TR or SG, this video cinched it-- definitely TR. if i did this makeup look, id look dead.
“Figure skater, ballroom dancer” LOL
I reeeeallyyy need a list of those celebrities you showed as examples in the beginning!!
I wish you Happy Holidays!
you are a great artist Aly.. love ur work.. thank you very much
I remebered aboit these series a few days ago and now I see why - my type came out!
Cannot wait for the Theatrical Romantic video 🎀
Thank you! Since I have found my type (SG) i started to understand my appearence more. огромное спасибо 😘
Aly, I just followed your tips and ... game changer! Thank you!
I have a big event coming up and wasn't sure what kind of make up I should do... But then you posted this video and saved the day again haha :D Thank you so much for the work that you put into your videos. Your body type series have helped me so much!
You have really helped me to understand my style and body type. Love this channel!
This is so me! It all makes sense at last. Thank you Aly.
You should do a series where you tell your viewers what body type & face type they are because i just dont know haha!! help meee
i love this idea!!
Yeeeess !! I need this !
I really need Aly to do coaching for us to identify our body types. Despites she explains so well, I still can't figure it out
In the Facebookgroup " strictly kibbe for beginners", David Kibbe writes with the account of his wife Susan Slavin. You can follow the exercises to determine your type. It will take some time, but it's the only way to really know what you are, besides consulting Mr Kibbe.
@@Dragking38 You're exactly right! I just joined the group recently. :)
Yes! The angular contour always looked like dirt
Ahhh SG, I was waiting for this type
Thanks Aly! You're the best!! Your video series have honestly helped me so much
Thank you so much for these videos
Can you do detailed eyeshadow looks for soft gamine please
Ah i Hope soft classic will be next but every vid is so interesting 💕
I loooove this series! Now I just need my soft classic ;)
I wonder how will Aly pull off flamboyant natural as it is exactly the opposite features as her own 🤔
What ISN'T gamine-like on my body:
I'm quite tall (1,72cm)
Also my legs are long
My lips are normal vor even slightly thin
The rest would fit the soft gamine label. Am I a soft gamine anyways vor what would you think?
Btw that type oft make-up is what fits me the most. Also I look best in a line dresses such as fittest sleeves and I also think fitted collars look better. Plus I look really weird if my waist is "hidden", like, it looks best if I emphasise it
Hi, you can watch merriamstyle video "what body type is taylor swift". It's better explain than I could ever try to :)
What do you think of eyelash extensions?
Wow Aly, I appreciate and love you videos and the effort you do every time 👏👍🌼😍
Okay now I know I’ve been doing it right. 🙋🏻♀️ soft gamine here!!
Thank you, this was very helpful, seeing new year is round the corner I wouldn’t mind looking my best. 🥰
My body type fits the description of Sof Gamine but my face is kind of long (my chin is angular but the rest of my face is fleshy)
Question : I’m a soft gamine but light spring… what color make up to choose as ligth pale and luminouse color is good for my color type bit not for my kibbe boddy type ? Thanks a lot for all your video ! It helped me a lot to like myself as a soft gamine ! 💜
How do you do a chunky eyeliner or crisply defined eyeshadow when you have hooded almond shaped eyes? Also my eyes are more medium size
I can't wait for Flamboyant Natural!!!
Thanks! I have finally found my type
You are such a wonderful person. You put so much work in these videos to share knlowledge with us that lets us truely appreciate beauty in so many different shapes. Thank you for changing my way of seeing people! That being said I have two questions (to aly and the community):
Is it possible to be a classic with a gamine face? I know that the face sometimes does not match the body. but I feel like a classic face is a necessity for a classic. Any thoughts?
Is it possible to be a soft dramatic if people perceive you as small and dainty? I struggle with the following: if I look at pictures of myself in a swimsuit I see primarily yang bones (in my body, not my face) with a bit of flesh on top. But at the same time people tell me, that I look dainty. So am I an exceptionally small soft dramatic or should I reconsider my selfperception? :D
Tips would be great!
Does anyone know the actress who is in the first left of the slide? I’ve seen her before, I just don’t know her name. By body is almost identical to hers!
You nailed it for me!!!! YES!
But what if I‘m a soft gamine with hooded eyes, then that eyeliner doesn‘t look good on me?
Hooded eyes here. I apply it crisply and sharply, but very thin.
ally ily so much you're so smart!!
Hello! Do you think that Ginnifer Goodwin is soft gamine or gamine?
Finally!!! Thank you so so so much luv 💓💓
I see myself as a gamine but my face has more yin, thats why i though i was soft gamine. Anyway, this the makeup that worked better for my face :D
The face has little to do with how clothes hang off of your body. There are flamboyant naturals with babyfaces.
What brush did you use for nose contour?
It sucks to be soft gamine with barely opened eyes with weak eyelid muscles. I can't really do thick eyeliner :/
Does French Bob with Fringe looks good in Soft Gamine?
It sucks having monolids
No matter how chunky I draw my liner, it still doesn't show up when I opened my eyes 😂
You're not supposed to focus on parts of yourself, you look at how it all works together.
how would a make up with a long eyeliner for gamines be ? i’m a gamine and my eyes are slightly closer, so i definitely like the long eyeliner…
i am soft gamine and i constantly elongate my eyeliner, what i do is make it a little chunky still (trying not to go to overboard and editorial looking for everyday wear but honestly when i do my entire mobile eyelid it looks amazing)
also my eyes are a little far apart so i draw a small triangle as to make the inner tear duct part bigger than it actually is, that often completes the whole look
I'm so confused because I think my body type is a dramatic classic (small frame, not very curvy at all, looks slightly tall, long arms, legs, and fingers) but my face is very soft and I have very rounded features for the most part that make me look kinda young for my age... so am I watching the right video??
My skin tone is buff (light/modium) what contour pallette should I get? No matter what it always looks like I'm dirty and haven't had a bath.
Soft gamines generally should avoud contouring. Some can pull it off but not everyone.
First time I tried contouring in a line, got asked why I had a bruise on my face 😂
