Most things were pretty apocalyptic. i heard it was the time of desillusion, where climate change, end of the world, the stop of that crazy economic growth and stuff first started being talked about, like ever, and right after the blind colorful happy vibes of 80's so everything had that kind of gloomy dark vibe. The 2000's changed that and switched for a very bling shiny, and somewhat superficial vibe, a lot in the aesthetics
